I do so well when I am able to eat at home. I spent the last two days/nights at my daughter's. I didn't eat horribly, but the scale is up. As usual when I'm away. It is frustrating, but I know that the ups and downs are normal. I was two whole pounds less in the days before I left to go to my daughter's.

It is my mindset, too. When I go to my dad's house or to my daughter's house, I just want to eat!!! They have snacks that I do not keep here. This is a journey, and sometimes I do better, but sometimes I just go crazy eating all of the different goodies! I feel so out of control when I'm around the snacks.

I think this is probably one of the best times to visit Venice, @izzyred9400. Have a great trip!

@Cyncia85 - Congratulations on your exam! You worked hard to prepare and your effort paid off. I hope the weather cooperates so you can enjoy your special time to relax after meeting your History assignment deadline tonight!

I wasn’t planning a fall hike but I like the idea so now you’ve got me thinking about how I might fit one into my schedule. I’m planning to drive to a boathouse that is about 35 minutes from my house tomorrow morning and there’s lots of nice foliage there so it will be nice sculling there. We race on that course November 4th, but I’ll be (sweep) rowing with seven other people and a coxswain then.

I’ve been doing some decluttering this weekend. It’s slow progress, but it’s still progress! It really was time to give away the laminated multiplication table placemat and study cards since my youngest son will soon turn 23. 🙄

    Thank you @PatriceFitnessPal <3
    High five on the decluttering!

    … We’re temporarily displaced by Hurricane Milton ... ❤️

I’m sorry to hear you were displaced by the storm but I’m glad you are safe. It was smart to evacuate!

My uncle lives about a 10 minute bike ride from Nokomis Beach so he had to leave his house, too. His power is back and the foundation is in good shape but the shade structure over his patio got destroyed. Overall, he was very fortunate, even though the insurance company won’t pay for him to rebuild the outdoor structure attached to his house. He’s returning on Monday to start cleaning up.

My aunt lives in Ft. Meyer and had to shelter in her closet for hours because of the tornadoes. She knows she lost some roof tiles but it will take some time for her community to assess the damage.

I hope you get good news about your house and you can move back soon. I’m sending positive thoughts to you and your community! 💕💕💕

Thank you for your kind words and I’m thankful to hear your aunt and uncle are safe. Our access road will be be under water for weeks, but we are so thankful we have a good place to stay! I’m even getting some doggie love from our son’s housemate’s beautiful dog 💙

@Tomsgal1985 - It sounds like you’re making the best of a very difficult situation, enjoying your son and the therapeutic qualities of the beautiful, sweet dog. I hope the access road opens soon, before the weather gets colder, and you can build a comfortable routine until then. 🕊️
