Barb, your Christmas cactus looks beautiful! Thank you for the picture. It sounds like you will have fun baking cookies with Evan. I have a picture of the golf cart for you from the dealer's lot.

    ho6h9amd3c9g.jpg

We get it on Monday. We've made room in the garage for it. Thank you for praying about my hip pain. It was really painful last night, stopping me from getting to sleep for a few hours. I'm being careful on it today.

Judith, thank you for updating us on your ramps and medical appointments. I was wondering if your insurance company could take over negotiating for you about the ramps and repairs. It must be exhausting having to deal with all this. About the golf cart, it won't be leaving the Village. It isn't going to be registered so no travelling to the supermarkets on it. I can have groceries delivered though. The Village has 350 houses in it and I often need to carry lots of stuff to the Clubhouse, so I will get to see people, make deliveries for my craft business, and carry things to the Clubhouse in it. Colin is often out in the car which leaves me a bit stranded, so it will be nice to have that much independence back.

Linda, I think I was born with my hip abnormality and it didn't slow me up till later in life when I developed the arthritis. No Dr has really explained it to me or suggested surgery of any kind. I have been referred for Physio sometimes. I have come to my own conclusions about how it happened over time. The hip usually settles down after 10 days or so. I hope it does this time too. I'm glad to hear about your progress and recovery. It will be great for you to have two functioning hips again. Maybe the weigh in won't be as bad as you think!

It's raining here today. I'm going to go get some breakfast now. I'm thinking of you all and praying for you.

Barb - your temperatures are really high. It has been nice to have our temperatures in the 60's. Glenn was able to go outside and sit in the swing today. He said it was nice but there was a dog that kept barking which disturbed his thoughts.

It has been very windy here. People have raked their leaves into piles near the curb so the city can pick them up. With the wind blowing, a lot of the leaves are back on the lawns to be raked again.

Judith - I am so sorry that you did not get your expected phone call about your house. I had high hopes they would be responsive to your needs. You need to pester them like the widow Jesus spoke about. The judge although not righteous helped her out so she would stop bothering him.

Susan - how exciting about getting the used golf cart. That will be so much easier for you and Colin to get around the area.

Marilyn - I am glad you are having less pain and were able to discuss things with your doctor.

Barb, your Thanksgiving Cactus is Gorgeous. The Blooms are so lovely, hope your Christmas Cactus does just as well. Been watching your weather, and yes it does seem warmer than usual for this time of year. So glad you got your tube Cookies, it will be fun to decorate them all.

You asked about my ramp and other repairs:

Good News: After I was on phone half of the day dealing with 4 people who passed me off to another; finally I got a call back about my ramp; they are sending a man on Saturday to rebuild and install the ramp inside my condo & fix the ramp outside and deal with the paint damages, inside and outside and they are fixing my gate and fence. I am rejoicing that God heard all of our prayers and moved the mountains! Hallelujah!

Please read Weather Report: we are under another Weather Alert Warming starting Saturday! Thank you for your prayers!

Praying for everyone here! I think I have missed some of you as I am here earlier than usual.

Have a good evening and sleep well!

Will say Good Night 😴 & God Bless. 🙏🤗😇

Judith. I hope the people came & to Brandon’s for you to use. Plus deal with paint damages. If so best 4 hours spent on the phone. How’s your ears after it all? 😆

Susan prayers for your hip & enjoy the weekend almost over for you.

Marilyn so glad not at hospital as long as before. 3 hours is still long but glad less prayers for your appendix.
Can they just take it out for you. 🙏
You may have answered that question but inside t think I’ve been told. Prayers.

    Linda
Prayers for your continued healing. Kind of like my sister. She took her first shower & washed her hair. She felt better after that accomplishment.

    Prayers for all
We had our leaves picked up today & we got to add some more leaves. So that was nice!!
Harry & I went to kohls where I got gray jeans that I’ve been trying to find online. All the had was short & I’m average.
May we all be blessed with Gods word tomorrow.
    🙏🙏

This is NOT my Christmas cactus. It was on Facebook and I was amazed at the size of it. My cactus is just beginning to bloom and is so much smaller than this one!

    x5is6h58b4be.png

Today was a beautiful sunny day with no breeze and clear sky. We went to a memorial service of a friend's husband. They were 60 when they got married and were married only 4 years. They seemed such a lovely couple. The wife talked and said that even though they were married for 4 years, they tried to keep their marriage as if they were still newlyweds. That convicted me that we have gotten a bit lazy making our marriage still exciting and filled with wonder.

Tomorrow we will be having a Thanksgiving potluck a little early so the campus can celebrate with us before they go home. I found a new recipe that I hope people like. It is green bean casserole but instead of mushroom soup and fried onions, it has sour cream and mozzarella cheese. I probably should have tried it first before doing it for the potluck but it is too late to have second thoughts.

Judith - I am so glad that your ramp and painting will be done today. You have been waiting for a long time.

I hope everyone if having a good weekend.

Re my appendix. It seems to have settle down but as far as surgery to remove it - they wont do surgery on me due to the fact that I had major surgery re cancer 18 years ago and have a lot of scar tissue and then had 9 weeks of radiation leaving my insides all damage. What would normally be a 40 minute operation and being in and out on the same day, if they did surgery it would be for at least 3 hours and they said that my body couldnt take it. Also they said that should they try they they don't believe the stitches would hold due to the radiation damage.

So I am praising the Lord that He has healed me - and now with making life changes re food I should be ok. It has been 2 years since my kidneys quite function as they should and so far no dialysis. Number is now holding at 10 and it should be 60. Praising the Lord that He is with me keeping my kidneys working as best as they can without dialysis.

Marilyn, I am Praising God for your healing! God is Good, we serve a Mighty God.

I know you will do well with changing your diet, God will give you Wisdom and Strength to carry through with these changes. I am also rejoicing in how God is holding your Kidneys and you are holding at 10 and your kidneys are functioning without Kidney Dialysis, that’s a Miracle on its own as looking at the Numbers, you are at 10 and normal is 60; indeed this is God’s Hand of Healing on your Body; Glory to God! My prayers continue for you Marilyn!

Susan, so excited for you in getting your Golf Cart. This will be a great help to you. I am sure Monday can’t come soon enough. Thanks for asking about my ramps. Good news both ramps were built today and installed, Praise God, I posted a complete report on our Prayer Request thread. Hope you can read it later. I realize it’s the Lord’s Day for you, enjoy your Church Services!

Barb, you made me giggle with your comment about my ears, wondering if they hurt after that long conversation trying to get servicing to get ramps back. As you will likely read above text I made to Susan we both can Praise God together the ramps are back. You can read full report on our Prayer Request thread.

Linda, your Green Bean casserole you are making for your Thanksgiving Potluck you are having tomorrow so you can be with the students and families at the campus before they leave to celebrate with their families. I am sure they will enjoy the casserole. And Linda you will be able to read the Praise report on our Prayer thread about the ramps being built and installed. I am rejoicing and Praising God!

God’s Blessings to all here, May your Lord’s Day be blessed and you enjoy your Sunday Services!
Love and Prayers my friends! 🙏🤗

That's such good news about the ramps, Judith! Now you just need the psint damage taken care of and you're back to normalat tge condo! The Lord is good. It's already Monday here and the cart arrives sometime today. Woo hoo! Church service yesterday was cancelled. Pastor was driving the church bus and it had a tire blow out. They were on a quite street, not the freeway, so there was no accident, praise God. Colin went to the rescue. Pastor later put our service on YouTube.

Marilyn, praise the Lord for good news about your appendix and kidney function! That is so encouraging. Hugs!

Linda, I agree, the bean casserole sounds yummy. The ingredients will taste nice together. I hope it turns out as nice as it sounds! That picture you posted of the cactus is beautiful.

Barb, yes, it is already Monday here. My hip is slightly better. I have been using cold pressed Castor Oil on it as a massage and it has helped remove the pain a bit. The swelling also seems to have gone down. I'll keep working on it.

Marilyn. Wow. So glad for some good news. We will keep praying for continued healing too.

Judith so glad your ramps & painting are done. So now your place is feeling more like your own place.
Prayers for your beds & your health.

Linda continue prayers for continued healing.
    Enjoy your time in Denver.

Susan. The plant was amazing. Christmas cactus maybe starting to get buds but only about 2 or 3 under. We will get some colder temps by midweek & maybe that help our upstairs is not vented though heat rises.

A dreary cloudy day here. it was in the lower 60’s.
Rainy day all day and I will watch Evan tomorrow . So no walking tomorrow.
I got some sugar cookies dough so we will make some. Jean, daughter tells us that Evan likes coloring & play dough. So I guess that’s what we will do. It’ll be fun.
    Have a good week all.
    🙏

The potluck went well. There was a overabundance of desserts this time. We had turkey, smoked chicken and ham along with the normal thanksgiving foods. Although people seemed to like my green bean casserole, I think I will go back to the old recipe. Sour cream is not my favorite and it is full of calories so I will go back to mushroom soup and fried onions. Glenn is in agreement. Today we eat the last of the dinners that people brought us to eat after my surgery. My friend made meatballs with ground turkey and stuffing mixed together. Although it was a little salty, it is really delicious along with roasted potatoes, broccoli, Brussel sprouts and green beans.

Susan - how exciting to get your golf cart today. I assume you will be driving it on the streets and not the sidewalks. It looks too wide to fit on a sidewalk. Do you have to have a "slow moving vehicle" sign on the back? I am glad that your hip is feeling better. I have not heard of caster oil as a massage oil for pain. I have had to drink my share of it growing up. It was very nasty tasting. My mom would put it in juice with baking soda to make it fizzy but it did not help much. It was a lot more to drink with the extra additives.

Barb - I am glad that you are getting rain after the drought you had in the Summer. Are you catching up with your shortage now? Do you get much snow in the Winter? Denver gets lots of snow but we get less than a couple of inches the whole Winter. I hope you have fun with Evan. Playdough was a favorite of my children. I made my own with salt and flour but it stuck on their hands unlike the store bought kind.

Judith - I am so glad your ramps are done. I hope the person doing the work does come back and finish what he started. I will check the weather thread to see if you are getting more pleasant weather.

Marilyn - God is so good healing your appendix and maintaining your kidney numbers at 10. Are you thinking the dietary changes will improve your kidney numbers?

I am washing clothes in preparation for our trip to Denver tomorrow so I need to get going. Have a great week ahead!

Prayers Linda for safety travel back home tomorrow.

Susan so glad you got your golf cart. Have fun but be careful traveling in it. It will be great for your cards.

I’ve made the okay dough with salt too.
Taking my daughter some pumpkin Gorgonzola cheese soup I made the recipe was in my dump book.
    Have a great Monday all.

Thank you all for your kind comments regarding my ramps being built and installed. So thankful, God is so good!

Susan I am so thrilled that you get your Golf cart today, as it’s Monday at your end. So happy your Pastor was safe when the tire blew out. So glad Colin was able to go to the rescue and help your Pastor. It’s totally understandable there was so Church with the bus tire blow out but so nice your Pastor put message online for the congregation to watch.

Barb, I have always made my own Play dough and it was soft and pliable, never sticky and I put food coloring in mine so the kids had different colors to work with. I am sure you will enjoy watching Evan and creating some neat things with the play dough. You had such a long drought in the summer so it’s great to hear you have some rainfall. Are you caught up now with your ground grass trees all looking healthy and lush after the rain.

Linda, I know you said the casserole looked good but you and Glen thought you would go back to the mushroom soup and onions, it probably be better calorie wise. Hope you enjoy your last dinner with Roast Turkey and stuffing meatballs and the roast potatoes, broccoli Brussels sprouts and green beans, so yummy, my mouth was salivating as you described your dinner. Hope you got your clothes all done and ready for your trip to Denver tomorrow. Safe travels my friend.

Marilyn I am still rejoicing with you for the healing God has done with your kidneys and appendix, Praise God! Please keep up posted and let us know how you are doing.

Our weather continues to be cold damp and rainy. There is another Severe Weather alert coming Tuesday through to Wednesday, please check with your family Barb who are in Victoria as this storm sounds like it will also be near their area. Prayers are with everyone. Good Night 😴 all, be back sometime tomorrow. God Bless! 🙏😇

Hello all. It's a rainy day here and it is muggy. I have a card class to run this afternoon so will he turning on the air conditioning to cool us down and dry out the paper. Chocolate melts in these conditions so the ac will also help keep it solid. I made table gifts for them with a chocolate in each, you see.

We got the Golf cart yesterday and it is great. The speed limit in the Village is 10kms p/h so no need to have a slow vehicle sign. It won't be driven anywhere else except among the 350 houses of our Village. Colin came with me for its maiden run and we checked our mail, delivered craft orders and hauled a second hand printer to someone. Here I am near the mail boxes.

    66qmmm4edvn7.jpg

I drove it to choir practice myself later. It's a fun thing to have! It is going to make a nice difference for us both.

Judith, I hope your weather doesn't build up to damaging floods or winds. It won't be long before the snow comes now. Stay safe and sheltered and warm.

Barb, those activities with Evan sound like fun. I hope you both enjoy your day. What does Mariposa like to do when you watch her? I hope you get lots of blooms on your Christmas cactus. Mine live outside all year round here. They don't seem to mind direct sun or shaded areas.

Linda, glad the pot luck went well. I have never drunk Castor Oil! I just use it mixed with moisturiser as a skin, muscle and joint helper. It seems to heal skin conditions and reduce inflammation and swelling and pain. It's very thick and sticky but mixed with moisturiser, it's more like a regular skin cream and it is odourless too. About the cart, you can probably see from the photo that there are just narrow roads in our Village, no sidewalks. Everyone goes slow to avoid pedestrians. It's a peaceful, quiet and friendly place. I even chatted with some people as I drove around yesterday and gave someone a lift! She is from the choir and is thinking of getting a golf cart too. Someone was walking her two dogs and they barked at my cart. They'll get used to it! Lol!

Susan, love the picture of your golf cart, you look good and I think by the picture you are enjoying driving it. Nice you gave someone a lift and you have already made good use of the Golf cart. Nice you could deliver crafts and get mail too. This will be such a help to you. I came yesterday and posted in some of the threads but missed Chat cafe so at 12:30am I am posting here.

Linda, so glad you arrived in Denver safely. So glad the roads were dry and the sun was shining. We have opposite weather, stormy rainy and windy. Friends lost power, we are ok here.

Will say Good Night 😴 and God Bless! 🙏😇

Judith, you are right about how useful the cart already us! I picked up one of my crafters from the main gate yesterday. It was raining so she really appreciated it. Today I'm taking it to a meeting and a rehearsal. I think itcwill just become part of my everyday routine. Cin ordered a plastic roll up cover for it so we can keep ourselves and anything we carry dry in it. It's a bit open with the rain we have been having. I'll carry a small towel to dry off the seat, in fact. How is the weather where you are? I hope the dangerous storms have passed.

Linda, glad you got to Denver safely. Enjoy your company. Thank you for dropping in to let us know all is well. How did your hip go with the travelling?

Barb, I guess Evan is keeping you busy. I hope you have an enjoyable day together!

Yesterday's card class was fun. Here's what we made:

    umwx7e28ruv7.jpg

It's raining today. I need to brush dogs, organise my craft room since yesterday's class to.prepare for tomorrow's class, attend an Artistic Seniors meeting and go to a play rehearsal. Also the house needs cleaning.

Thinking of you, Marilyn and JC!

Love the golf cart & your picture of yourself in it.
Loved your cards too Susan. You are keeping busy. Hope the heat isn’t too bad.
We on the other hand are running the furnace.

Praying for you Judith with this storm you are getting. I have read & our meteorologist has talked about it Says the low is lower than what was last night here & looks like a hurricane. He mentioned something about the low never being like that in 100 years. My sister has only had wind & calls it a bomb cyclone. Stay safe Judith.
We had lots of rain & a bit scary with the drive to Evan’s house & home. Then coming home I drove & had a double rainbow. I saw 3 rainbows on way home. I’ll send picture of the double the first one was fading so I knew a picture would not work.

Linda. Glad that you made it to Denver. Prayers as you go, about your getting ready for company.

Marilyn continue prayers for kidneys & appendix continue with the healing. So glad for the report you got.

My sister got a good report from her dr. So she doesn’t have to wear the sling can lift up to 1-2 lbs. may be able to go to church on Sunday. Nice!

    Prayers for all. lcw93lo1ypbe.jpeg

Well, it is 24 hours since I last posted saying I would come back but I did not intend to be gone so long! Getting the house ready for company took longer than I had expected. We did not do the whole house just where they would be sitting. This is the room that we will be setting up the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving so I am glad we were able to have a clean room for that. Today after cleaning I had a Bible Study group then took the truck and the SUV to the auto shop to get oil changes, one after the other one. It is the first time I was able to drive a car in a month. I was a little concerned since it is a stick shift and I had to do a lot with my new hip to change gears but it was not as bad as I had imagined. While we were waiting for the two to get oil changes, we took one vehicle to get groceries before it was it's turn. Walking around I ended up getting over 7000 steps. When we finished, we hurried home so we could attend the choir concert that my granddaughter (age 10) was in. It was fun to see them sing and the songs were the type that I found myself tapping my toes to the rhythm. After the concert, we went out with the family and had frozen yogurt. They had two sugar free flavors so we were able to eat with them. You pay by the weight so you can choose how much frozen yogurt you want and then put toppings on it. We really had a good time. Now I am home and we have not had dinner so my daughter is making chicken enchiladas. I am glad I got a lot of exercise today to be able to eat the calories I will be getting right before I go to bed.

Susan - you look so natural in your golf cart. I can see how it would be very helpful for you to do delivering, giving people rides as well as getting places quickly. Your cards as usual are beautiful. I wish I were closer to be able to attend your classes. I did find some who do classes around my area but I have not had time to contact them. Maybe in the new year I can do that.

Judith - your are sure having a lot of rainy weather. It is very cold here in Denver. They had snow in the southern part of the state and Grand Junction but we did not get any here. It was a high of 39F (3.8C) and a low of 19F (-7.2C) today with wind.

Barb - I love the rainbow pictures. Double rainbows are so beautiful. I do hate to drive in the rain anymore. With my cataracts, the wet road is hard to see especially if it is very cloudy or dark. I am glad that I do not have to drive to work in the mornings when it was raining anymore. That is one good thing about being retired. We can pick and choose when we want to go out when the weather is bad. I am glad that Cheryl is doing well with her shoulder surgery. Being able to get out of the house to go to church must be good news for her.

JC, Marilyn - Hi! to you too.

    Evening All

We are having a major storm, the weather station calls it a “Bomb”Cyclone”. Like a Hurricane!

We haven’t lost power, many have.

I will be back tomorrow to catch up!

    Thanks for your prayers!

Of course my prayers are with you! Love you, Hugs! 🙏🤗😇

Judith, the weather sounds dangerous. I know youvarevtaking care, sheltering in place, and that you have hot thermoses of food in case the power goes out. Keep letting us know you are OK when you can. I would watch the news or what is happening in the Vancouver area but they are mainly reporting on the repeated battering of the Philippines with tropical cyclones right now and the flooding in Spain. They leave news about Canada off the list!

Linda, from your post it sounds like your hip is feeling more normal every day and it is functioning well! You did far more than I do yesterday. Wouldn't that be great if we could all get together to craft? I do have another class to run today. We're making two Christmas cards. I'll post them for you tomorrow. And I will imagine you all sitting with us around the table.

Barb, thank you for the beautiful rainbow photos. I could see the flowers too. They were so large on my screen, I scrolled around, looking at all the details. I know it's cold where you are. Today we're having a cooler day so haven't turned on the ceiling fans yet. Our summer starts Dec 1st so no wonder it is muggy and hot here in November. We're also in our wet season so have been getting quite a lot of gentle rain which does cool things down.

We are having warmer weather today with the high of 50F (10C) and low of 33F (.5C)

I pray, Judith, that you are safe during the bad weather that was predicted. I hope the power does not go out but it sounds like you are prepared if it does happen. Today was a quiet day with only going out to exercise at Planet Fitness. I have had plenty to keep me busy working on the inside of the house!

Susan - yes my hip is doing much better every day. I still have problems with weakness/tiredness in my thigh when I go up the stairs. If I have a handrail I can do it by putting some weight on the railing but not enough strength to step up with the operative leg by itself. That will come with time I am sure.

I am thinking and praying for each one of you!

Susan. So summer starts the 1 we wait till the shortest day of the year 12/21. Glad you are getting some rain. When we get summer the humidity is high & usually not much if any rain July & August here are very dry. This year September & October were dry too usually September is a wet month. Oh well.
    Prayers for you.

Judith. Yes my sister told me about the bomb cyclone bomb too she still has power too. U heard that Washington state has some deaths & many without power.
The rain & wind we had Monday we had thousands who lost power. Not us. Lots of sticks & branches we picked up. We got 2 trash cans full, of sticks, yard waste.
    Praying for you.

    Linda.
So glad your hip is feeling better. Be careful when you go upstairs & all. I was to get the Prolia shot today but for some reason the hospital where I get it cancelled it. Something about the wrong codes. The nurse at my Drs & hospital don’t know why. Still trying to find out. I know when I take I feel pain, it in my right hip when I rake.
So I hope I get it soon. But busy season starts very soon.

We have a birthday party next Friday a grandson turning 10 11/30, then a new grand baby birth 12/6 then my 70 bday on Pearl Harbor.
Plus getting Christmas cards out, plus some packages, cookies made etc. fun. Lots of prayers & it will get done. No Bible study this week so that will help.
Just found out that our daughter, youngest, Jean & family will be here next week for Thanksgiving. So I’ll have 9 here instead of 5.
Hong Hong’s mom comes in 12/28 Friday after Thanksgiving. She lives in Hong Kong. Her sister & hubby come in 12/15. Busy time here.
    I. Sure busy for all.
    Prayers for all
Praying for JC & Marilyn too. 🙏🏻

Thank you Susan Linda and Barb for your prayers. I am safe. The Storm was bad here but was worse on the Island. Many lost power and many lost power here also.

Our lights flickered on and off but the power didn’t go off.

We had a lot of wind and rain here today but the wind wasn’t too severe.

Unfortunately we have another Weather Alert: Forecast says we have another Severe Storm on the way for Friday here.

Wow, I can’t remember our weather being this bad before, ever. And that many storms, one after another. It’s quite scary. Thanks for your continued prayers.

I am at my Surgeon’s appointment with travelling to VGH in Vancouver in the early morning.

I just finished the Threads and will get my night meds and call it a night. It’s an early morning for me so I’m am heading to bed really soon.

Love you all, my prayers are with you all too.

Good Night 😴 Blessings Everyone! 💕🤗🙏

Glad to know you are safe, Judith. I did look it up online (global weather sites are pretty good) and saw the huge swirls engulfing parts of Canada and the US. I used to have relatives in Bellingham, WA and we lived in Spokane WA awhile. I remember huge winter storms happening back in the 1960s. They would cancel school and we could lose power. We always had a fireplace for warmth and cooking. I'm really glad you were alright this past few days. I hope you stay safe in the coming storm too.

Barb, wow, you are really going to have a busy family time AND a special birthday for you! What a great couple of months coming up! I am excited for you! It might be tiring but it will be a special time for sure.

Linda, that's great news about your hip doing so well. Yes, the muscles and tendons etc will recover over time and get stronger, I am sure, especially with you needing to climb stairs. Aren't our bodies wonderful?

It's a full on dog grooming day today with us washing, blow drying and clipping both boys. It will take hours. Colin will help me.

Yesterday's card class went well. Here are the cards we made:

I started posting on the threads then had to leave for a few hours to go to a friend's house. She is a great cook and likes to have us come to her house when we are in Denver. She had her brother and his wife, whom we know well also, so it was a fun time. Glenn went over the basics of what he calls FLAN for them. It is a way of checking in emotionally with each other in a deeper way. The letters stand for F=feelings, L=listening for emotions, A=attuning which is clarifying what the person said, asking questions, identifying with what they are saying, N=Needs what do they need to help with the situation. Answers for what they need could be: I am OK and need nothing, I want someone to pray for me, I want a story to illustrate how the other person dealt with a similar situation, I want advice, I want to listen to Jesus/Holy Spirit to see if he has any advice (through scriptures we might remember, through our senses, through emotions, through feelings and word pictures, etc) We had lunch, then talked for 3-4 hours then had dinner there so it was a long time but an inspiring time too.

Judith - praying for your appointments and your safety as more storms are coming. I think a lot of us can say that our weather this year has been very unsettled and unusual.

Susan - thanks for sharing the cards. I am glad that Colin is helping with your grooming duties. You must be saving a lot of money by doing it yourself. Groomers here are really expensive especially if the dog is curly haired and long.

Barb - you will have a full house for Thanksgiving! We will be having 14 but are meeting at our son's house so that will be easier for us. We all will bring parts of the meal so no one has to do all the work. The last two years we made bread gifts for people but I don't think we will do that this year. Our Bible Study group has 16 members and I do not have the energy to make that much bread. I am thinking of making tree ornaments that look like hats with pompoms on the top. They are made of yarn wrapped around strips of carboard from toilet paper rolls. I will fill each one with a piece of candy. Once I get them done, I will take a picture of them. I need to see what color yarn I have to work with. I am praying for Hong Hong's safe delivery that is coming up soon. How is she feeling now?

JC - Thanks for your beautiful prayers you post on the prayer request thread. Your dedication and closeness to God are inspiring. You always seems to have just the right thing to say and I say a hearty "Amen" after I read what you post.

Glenn is sound asleep so I need to turn off the light and go to bed too. I am glad that he is a sound sleeper and my typing does not seem to bother him.

JC - Thanks for the beautiful prayers your post on the prayer request thread. I can see you have a close connection to God. I add a hearty "Amen" to what you post.

Prayers for you Judith & maybe some answers.
Plus for your safety with a new storm coming.

Prayers for all the team & whatever God has for them.

Hing is doing well. Since she is wearing the diabetes that records her blood sugar right away. She’s been doing great. She gets to wear it another week & then only have a bit more left before her scheduled C section on 12/6.
Her mom, Amy, her American name, will be coming here traveling on our thanksgiving day from Hong Kong so near you Susan. She will need Saturday to, adjust to central, but standard time.
We have grandson grayson’s bday party & actual day on 11/30. So a busy weekend with Thanksgiving too. Our church has pancakes that morning so if I get the turkey in the oven we will try to go. At craft today they to
    D me a short devotional & it’s fun!
My prayer partner told me make mashed potatoes day before which I was thinking of & heat them up in crockpot. Has anyone done this before? How does it work? Won’t the epilators stick to, the crockpot or liner I we like to use?
I don’t make that much bread & with a bread machine I measure he ingredients & it, the bread machine does the rest.

I pray Marilyn, Susan, Linda, JC & Willow had a good day & great weekend.
Many prayers. Stay safe & we’ll all.

today is gray and gloomy but I do not mind since it is warmer today. We just got back from a meeting at the church with the young person who is in charge of the media for the church. Glenn is going to do a few short videos to teach some lessons that will be 10 minutes long. There will be quite a few of these but the media person said that with the young people today, you can not do long videos or they will get bored and go on to other things. It appears their attention span is shorter since they watch so many tic- toc, Instagram, Facebook, etc. short videos. He must grab their attention quickly and say things in a concise manner. Glenn can get stuck in details so he will need to really pare down what he says to keep their attention.

Judith - I am sorry that you had a hard day yesterday. We understand when you can not be on here and pray for your strength and health daily.

Barb - Did your relatives in Canada have any damage from the storms? Now another one is on it's way. I pray for safety for Canada, North Western States as well an the Easter states with wildfires. I have not made mashed potatoes early but I have friends who have done it. I believe they put cream cheese in the potatoes but I may be confused. I would think they would get flat if left too long after making them. I am making mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving also but have plenty of time to do them before we go to our son's house. I was thinking about putting them in the crockpot to keep them warm as we travel.

I hope all the rest of you are doing well. I am on here earlier than usual and am missing reading posts I usually see when I get on at bedtime.
