Judith. So glad that someone is helping you. Now we pray that you get the ramp you need. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Susan so Colin should be there as you are almost a day ahead of us. Prayers as you catch up in person.

Linda. Continue prayers for healing . So glad less pain.
We got some rain. I’ve not had time to, check rain gauges as we celebrated Evan’s 2 bday.

Our alarm clock radio after 40 plus years won’t tell the time any more. It happened during the night. I’ve tried 2 new alarm clock radios & boy have they changed. The first one, had no plug outlet. You had to provide that!
2nd one is a smart one & well very confusing. I don’t use it every day & they have 3 sets, one each day one weekend & other is middle of week. I only muse it when I need to get up, Sundays dr appointments , Bible study mornings & when i watch Blake or Evan. So, after lunch I may try again. Hoping 3rd time is the charm. Otherwise just an alarm get.
We have an clock alarm, that sets its own time but 13 minutes early. Guess I won’t be late with that.

Prayers for all the Lord’s day tomorrow May we all be blessed. It’s already Sunday for Susan.

Addition to today's post - I heard from my son after I posted this morning. He said they had at least 18 inches of snow with 6 inches of new snow on the roads this morning. He has a huge truck pick-up and loves to drive it in the snow looking for people he can help who at stuck or just need a push to get going. Today is his wife's birthday and they were planning on going to the church marriage retreat this weekend but she is not feeling well today. We will celebrate with her later when our grandson turns 16 at Thanksgiving. We try to put birthdays together since everyone is so busy.

Thank you Susan, yes I have had a lot to catch up with since getting back home. Finally got all boxes unpacked and sorted thru the mess. So many phone calls about the ramps and paint damage and now I rejoice I have someone Standing in the gap for me. Have a blessed Sunday Susan, enjoy your Sunday services.

Linda, thank you Linda, I have been so tired with all the unpacking and talking to the Strata people but thankfully I now have someone standing in the gap for me. I’m so glad you have had a good day with less pain. So nice to receive pictures from our grandkids. I sure remember those days. I am sure you are treasuring the picture of the snowman they made in the snow in Denver. Glad it is warmer today.

Barb, thank you, I am hoping that I get the ramp built and installed really soon. So sorry your alarm clock stopped working but happy you have found a new one. A SMART Clock Radio will be great. I realize these new ones take some to get accustomed to but I am sure you will get it all done and will really enjoy it. Have a Blessed Lord’s Day ahead.

JC, Marilyn and Sandi, Faithgr14; My prayers are with you… Blessings on your weekend! 🙏🤗

Good Monday morning from the East coast of
Australia. It's Memorial Day today and soon I will join the Starlight Singers at the flag pole here at the Village to sing Amazing Grace and Advance Australia Fair. Then we'll gather in the Club House for a meal of corned beef and salad. Some will play Two Up, a coin toss game that relies on heads or tails to declare the winner. They will have raffles and speakers. It is humid, warm and it might rain, so I will take a hat, umbrella snd maybe a cane. My right hip is acting up in this weather. Or else I strained it carrying boxes of craft supplies this week when I did a workshop at a friend's house.

Judith, I sm still rejoicing that your ramps and paint damage may soon be taken care of. I'm glad to know the unpacking and mess is over. My Sunday services were so good. I hopeyou enjoy yours today.

Barb and Linda, yes, Colin got home safely. Thank you for your prayers. I always find driving to the airport is a challenge and yesterday traffic was heavy. It took me an hour to get there when usually it takes around 35-40 minutes. Colin had enough energy to come to Bible study last night, which was great.

Barb, those ew clock radios can be so hard to figure out. I have one about the age of your old one too and dread the day it gives up. You may be able to Google a manual for it, if it didn't come with one. That might help figure it out.

Linda, yes, I have been getting up earlier as the dogs need to go out at first light. Colin usually takes them out but of course I needed to do that while he was away. Jasper even got me up at 3 one morning. It's hard to go back to sleep when I have to get up, turn on lights, unlock doors and go outside with a flashlight/torch and watch the dogs. We've had snakes around the Village in this warm weather so I need to be really awake to check for them. I let Colin sleep this morning when the dogs woke me at 5:30. I'm glad to hear you are recovering well from your hip surgery. Our bodies truly are a marvel, thanks be to God! I'm glad your family is alright after the heavy snow. I hope your DIL isn't too sick. Your son a sounds like a very helpful, caring man.

The snowman talk reminded me of when we lived in northern Canada and got two days of the year to build snowmen- the first snowfall day the snow was usually wet enough to stick together. After that the snow became dry and powdery. Then the day iof the thaw was another time we could make snow stick together. It usually only took one day for the snow to melt into slush. We used to build amazing snowmen in those two days when the snow would stick together....

Went to church this morning - a very good service.

Was at the emergency once again last night - only 3 hours this time. Still having some pain re the appendix - took blood work and a cat scan = both looked ok though still have pain. So emergency doctor is writing to the surgeon I saw for him to look at the results and decide what next step should be. Think it will be another round of meds as they have already told me that they wont do surgery due to my high risk. So am grateful that the Lord has lowered the pain which only hits 2x a day for about 10 minutes each - so just might have to live with that - but God is in control and I continue to pray that He will be in charge and look after my recover

God service today at my church too. I raked as they, our city will come & vacuum the leaves by the curb Friday & Saturday. I still have leaves I can add. The city will come 2 more times this season. It’s so nice they do this for us.
Today was Evan’s bday. He is 2 now. We celebrated his bday Saturday. We have another grandson’s bday 11/30.
Maybe we will use months as with the new baby bday the day before my bday in December plus Christmas. Guess only time will tell.
Oh I got an easier radio to work, as the smart radio was too smart for 2 seniors to figure out! Trust it goes off ok as I have my well women visit tomorrow AM with fasting & all.

Linda I heard that Trinidad had 20 p,us inches. Has all the snow gone? I’ve heard that the snow has been melting quickly too continue prayers for your healing Linda.

Susan so glad Colin is home safely. Enjoy hearing lots of stories I’m sure.

Marily. Prayers for you & the drs can figure out what they can due to help you I guess it’s your appendix. Prayers for wisdom.

Judith. We do hope & pray your ramp is up & working asap. Trust the one standing in the gap works well
When do you see the surgeon Gia so we can pray for you & wisdom for drs?

Tomorrow is veteran day here. So no mail. We had the servicemen stand in church service. So that was nice. We all clapped our hands for them. Our pastor was in the service & is a chaplain now.
    Prayers for all

We are studying the characteristics of Jesus in church. We had a good sermon today about the Courage of Jesus. Jesus was courageous but that does not mean that he did not have fear, he just was able to do what needed to be done in spite of his human emotions. He begged God to take the "cup of suffering" from him in the garden but when the time came for him to be betrayed, he stood up and met his betrayer face to face. When he met the Gadarene man filled with the legion of evil spirits, He was not intimidated by the man's actions or his appearance, but spoke directly to the demons and cast them out. His actions spread all around and more came to know who He was. What fears do I have that are holding me back? What would it take to face my fear with courage and be victorious?

I heard from my oldest daughter today that she will be having a hysterectomy in December. She is the one that had weight loss surgery this summer. We were planning to be in Denver for Christmas so she is trying to get the surgery scheduled when we are there so if we need to help her or provide transportation for our granddaughter we will be there. I have had wonderful help during my surgery time so it is my turn to help her out with her surgery.

Barb - I do not know what the roads look like in Denver but I know from experience that even after a heavy snow storm, once it is over, the roads clear quickly due to the low humidity and us being at altitude so the sun hits the roads and warms them up quicker than lower altitudes. All my family is safe and sound at last check. It is nice that your town picks up your leaves for you. They do that here also but we have a lawn service that mows the grass weekly, controls our irrigation system problems. trims the hedge, and also takes away the leaves for us. Most of our leaves are gone from the front yard but we still have leaves to come down in the back yard. They will be back to take care of those leaves in two weeks.

Susan - that is so nice of you to get up and let the dogs out while Colin slept. I am glad that he made it home safely and had the energy to go to church. Driving to the airport is not my favorite thing to do either. It seems everyone is in such a hurry then they have to sit and wait once they get there. It is interesting that you had two days to make snowmen growing up because that was when the snow was sticking best. Our snow is very wet at times and does not stick together well but just becomes slush. When we lived in Ohio, growing up, the snow would get a hard crust on it and our snow men would last for a long time especially if we sprayed then with water and they turned to ice.

Marilyn - I am glad that you visit to the ER did not last too long and that you were able to get the CAT scan done. I remember before I had my appendectomy that I also had pain several times a day but it did not last long. I thought it was a muscle spasm of the appendix from the swelling and irritation. I hope your surgeon has a good plan for you so you can get over this pain without surgery.

Judith - I am praying that the message you receive this week from the Strata people is positive. I am so glad that you have people standing up for you and making sure things are done correctly.

Sandi and Faithgrl7 thinking about you and praying that you have a good week.

Susan, so glad Colin got home safely. Sorry it took so long to drive to the airport but glad you had a safe journey. I sure remember the days of getting up early mornings and several times during day taking the dogs out for their business and running my dogs. We had large dogs so they required long runs as they had mega energy. I am sure Colin appreciated you letting him sleep while you took Jasper and Archie out. It’s your Remembrance Day as I am texting. You said you will be participating in the service singing Amazing Grace and your Australian National Anthem. Today in our Service we same our National Anthem and had special prayer for the families of the Men and Women who lost their
lives and prayed for the Men and Women in active service. Monday is Remembrance Day for us here in Canada. We have special services at the Cenotaph’s all over Canada, a large service in Ottawa Ontario with the Prime Minister of Canada in attendance with laying a Wreath, and another service in Victoria BC with our Premier of BC in attendance with the laying of the Wreaths in Memory of the WW1 and WW2 Veterans.

Linda, yes my Strata is working on getting the people in to build both ramps and clean paint off the Vertical Blinds and on the Tarp outside. Right now I don’t have any other access out of my suite so I will be happy to have the ramps back and installed. Today I was so blessed with my Live Stream services and Ministry services on TV. I was so blessed. Happy the snow didn’t stay in Denver long. Your new Sermon series sounds so good as you are going through the Characteristics of Jesus. You will enjoy the study. Our Church did a series several years ago and I so enjoyed. My prayers are with you as you continue to recover well from your surgery.

Barb, please say Happy Birthday from me to Evan who turned 2. So glad you got another radio that is easier for you to manage. Sometimes these new electronics can be a challenge to figure out. So nice you had a good service too. It’s wonderful to join together with Gods People and Praise the Name of the Lord. Glad you were able to get some raking done and you have the City workers come and clean the leaves up by the Curb a couple more times for you. Always great to have help. It was nice for you to have the Service Men come to your Church service today.

Sounds like a special service you had like we did today. Do you have Special Services that are aired on TV for you to watch. We have a lot of our Cenotaph’s in an area that has WW1 and WW2 Plaques that are situated in front of our City Hall! We have a service there with Choirs reading poetry and laying of the Wreaths in Memory of our Service Men and Women who lost their lives and for those in active service.

Marilyn, so good to see you back today. So sorry 😞 you were in the emerg with the appendix pain but glad they did a CT Scan and you were not kept too long. It’s good the Doctor you saw last night is sending the report to your surgeon. Hope they can find a solution to turn this situation around. Praying for complete healing for you my friend.

We are under another Strong Wind Warning and Heavy Rainfall until Monday night.

My prayers and thoughts are with Sandi and JC as they are with everyone here in our Group. Will sign off now but be back later tomorrow! 🙏🤗

Today is our "Veterans Day" which is the same as your remembrance day to thank the veterans who have served our country in war and peace times. We had a celebration at the Western Colorado Vietnam War Memorial Park this morning but we were not able to attend. We also did talk about it at church yesterday. When I was working in Boulder at the continuing care facility (independent, assisted living and skilled nursing) we had a big celebration for all our Veterans. My Dad was included for his service in World War II. He really enjoyed this time of year. Being in the war is harder than many of us realize. He would not even talk about what he saw as a medic. I am sure proud of him and all those who served in all the wars.

Judith - I am so glad that you are able to watch the church services online. It was so helpful right after surgery for me to do that also.

Susan - I wish I could have heard you singing for your celebration. Music unites people in heart and this is an important celebration. How many singers are in your group?

Marilyn - I pray that you are feeling a bit better every day. You have certainly had a lot of physical problems since I have met you. I appreciate your strong faith that God will make this all work together. I hope that you "get a break" and your body heals it's self and you can go back to caring for your family like you want to do. How is Priscilla doing with all your illness?

Faithgrl7 thanks for accepting my friend request. I hope to get to know you better through this team.

My body is healing and I know it is because of my Savior. But still have some pain and I hope to hear from the surgeon this coming week. But I know God is in control and I just keep reminding myself of that and as long as the appendix doesn't get worse, well I am thankful for that and grateful that the Lord is taking care of me. I just need to remember to listen for his advise and then do as I should.

Hello, friends! Memorial Day events started at 9:30am leading up to the 11am minute of silence. We sang outside next to the flagpole both before and after the minute of silence, and we had young cadets do a flagpole guarding march, wreath laying from veterans and widows, old timers read a moving poem about the fallen, the Last Post was played by bugle, a prayer was said, a speech was given ...we sang Amazing Grace with a bagpipe player who later joined with five other pipers and drummers to give us a concert- IN the hall. Wow! We had a professional musician sing songs while he played keyboard which was also like a synthesiser. A Captain from the 9th Division (Army) told us some local history about Veterans who served. There was no Two Up as that is reserved for Anzac Day (which I should have known). We loved our corned beef and salad. There was home made relish on offer too but I could see it had ingredients that are harmful for me so I stuck with hot English mustard. Yikes it was hot alright!! It was a lovely day if a tad longer than we expected. I was able to sing without coughing and the umbrella and hat protected me from the burning sun. The black fold up chairs we sat on outside provided a sizzling seat after each time we stood up to sing! The hip bothered me but didn't stop me. Summer has definitely arrived here.

Marilyn, it is good to see that you can feel your body healing. I hope your kidney function is not badly affected by the appendix infection. I am sure your weight loss is helping your body cope better. Praying for you, hon.

Linda, the study you are doing sounds wonderful. Our Pastor is teaching us how to do Bible study more deeply by following the cross references in a centre column reference Bible like Thompson's. We're studying the first 18 verses of John this way. It's wonderful too. Oh and Starlight Singers has about 40 members. There were about 20 of us there yesterday.

Judith, so glad progress is bring made about restoring your ramps. We're having heavy rain here too that started last night. At least it is a little cooler now. I love the sound of your services for Memorial Day.

Barb, happy birthday to Evan. I'm sure he had fun with such loving family around him. Your Memorial Day services sounded lovely too.

We have company coming for coffee this morning then we will be company at a friend's for coffee this afternoon. I need to go get ready! Have wonderful days, everyone. The Lord be with you all.

    Good Afternoon All 🌺

Watched all the Remembrance Day Services in Vancouver and from Ottawa this morning! At our Centapah’s they lay Wreaths at the WW1 and WW2 War Memorials; they have special Choirs and Orchestra playing special music, every year we have one of our Youths from a local school write a poem. They are viewed by the Veterans and the best one is chosen to share the poem at the Remembrance Day service. This year an 11 year old girl was chosen. During the service they have the 21 Gun Salute from one of their Combat weapons and a Fly over by one of their Combat Airplanes. The Last Post is played and the one called the “Aroused”. The Bagpipes played Amazing Grace. So touching to see, this year we had a 101 year old War Veteran standing tall and walking with no assistance beside his great granddaughter and as she watched on with tears the Vet laid a white rose in front of the Memorial!

Remembering the Many Men and Women who Serve today in many regions of the World and their Families in much Prayer for God’s Continued Strength and Peace and for those Men & Women who Lost their Lives as they Served their Country Proudly, we Remember the Surviving Members of their Families in Prayer for God’s Peace!

My Grandfather served in the Canadian Army and went overseas and fought in France 🇫🇷 on the Lanz Front in WW1 from 1914 to 1918 as a Proud Soldier. During that time he was gassed twice which he suffered for years from the effects of the Gas breathed into his lungs. He never complained but proudly showed off his New Testament Bible he had tucked inside his chest pocket and his uniform and pin he was given when he enlisted as a 17 year old lad. I have his Attestation papers his Mother signed giving permission to enlist underage when he signed up in the Spring before he turned 18 on October 22nd.

My Dad served in the Canadian Airforce in WW2, he served proudly as a Pilot. Dad was quiet about those years so have very little information where his unit was deployed to. He had pictures taken in his Uniform proudly displaying his “Wings” on his uniform, one picture that stands out is a picture standing tall and proud beside his dear Mom.

I have many Uncles who served in the Canadian Army in WW2 and one Great-Uncle John who served in the United States of America 🇺🇸 Army in WW1 who was my Grandmother’s only brother. He was originally from Hamilton, Ontario Canada but went to School in the Ohio area and ended up by becoming a US Citizen met and married my Great-Aunt Maddie. They made their home in Toledo, Ohio.

Linda, thank you for sharing about your Veterans Day, I am sure the Celebration at the Vietnam War Memorial was such a Proud and Blessed time for those who attended. So sorry you couldn’t attend today. So glad your Church honoured the Veterans like we did at our Church. Yes Linda I too am so glad I can watch our Church service every Sunday. It was nice you were able to take part in a Veterans Service when you worked in Boulder as a Nurse, glad your Dad was able to enjoy those special moments as they honoured the Veterans Service! I totally understand as you shared how your Dad didn’t share anything those times as a Medic, it is hard, my Dad never shared either, it’s unimaginable what they hear and see in the War. I have such respect and compassion for all who have Served and Continue to serve.

Marilyn, I stand with you in continued prayer for your healing. What stands out, you have such a strong Faith in God. Since I started to get to know you on Spark People you have always stood Strong in Jesus. You are such a blessing to me and a great encouragement and to all who comes a long your pathway. You have had such huge Medical Challenges and through every diagnosis you stand Tall and Strong in Jesus trusting Him to lead and carry you through. You are right, Jesus is the One who Heals and is the One who will bring recovery and healing to the appendix and to your whole body, from the crown of your Head to the Soles of your feet.

Prayers for all here. Will see you all tomorrow. Please forgive my long post!

I see Linda’s comment to you Faithgr17 which I see I had the wrong name when I sent you a friend request. I will try again and hope we connect this time.

Marilyn. Continue prayers for healing so glad you got to, see someone. Prayers for your kidney too

Judith continue prayers for the ramp. Guess patience we need with it. My sister sent pics & all.
Lots of parades I. USA for Verona’s day.
Our pastor had all the military stand at church service & he is one too. In fact is a chaplain now.
My Dad was in the Korean War in Germany. My father in law served as a Dr in WW2.

So glad Colin is home. Neat pics Susan. I liked the Scottish pipes then both my grandfathers are from Scotland.

Linda thank you for the update with the snow. Glad all in family are safe. I do d a bit more raking & got more leaves for the vacuuming up.

I had my well-women check up today & got my flu shot today I didn’t have a Covid shot last year & may not get one this year again.
I had a bit of blood once 2 days last week & wanted to talk to my Dr about lifting items cause it. She thinks I at 69 should. So 2 times but only once each of those 2 days.
My dr thinks I should have a hysterectomy. I have 2 babies grands coming one in 3:5 weeks. Mariposa sister. My dr not helpful as wondering if it could be due to thinning or dryness as we age.
She forgot I had a nova sure due too, very heavy periods so I do not have any endometrium.
I think it’s from lifting heavy things and due to thinning & drying as we age. As I don’t have it that often & can think, of lifting something when it happens to me teach time.

Hope I make sense. Just pray for wisdom trying to get an appointment but May won’t as with nova suede no endometrium. My sister nurse told me. Harry thought so. As Nova sure is an ablation

My sister in Pennsylvania thanks and checking the ultrasound results that I had back in July that I really don’t need an hysterectomy. I had Nova Sure so many years ago before I had went through menopause.
Plus, I don’t have much endometrium. Due to the Nova Sure procedure, & that it’s very thin. There is was no mass located.
Everything looks normal so it really seems that I should not even follow up with hysterectomy or seen a doctor about everything. Hope all have a good night and happy morning afternoon for you Susan bye to, all.
I guess my doctor forgot, about my having the Nova Sure procedure I had before my menopause began.

Susan - it sounds like a wonderful remembrance day celebration. I understand about the sizzling hot seats when the sun is shining and the seats are black. Maybe you need to take a cushion next time to keep things cooler. Bagpipes have a very unique sound. I am sure it added something extra special to the music. The Starlight singers is a lot bigger group than I had thought. Is it both men and women? Four part harmony is so pretty. Your Bible study that is deeper using the references is wonderful. Looking at he context of the passage as well as other passages together helps give a more rounded picture of what the Bible is really saying.

Judith - your celebration also sounds wonderful. You have had a lot of relatives who were in the service. My brother was close to be drafted for the Viet Nam war but since he was in college to become a minister, they gave him an exemption. I remember some of his friends being drafted and how scared they felt knowing that they might not return to their families. Most of them did but not all. I had a cousin killed at the airport as he was getting ready to board the plane to come home. We owe our freedom to the brave soldiers who had the courage to fight for our country.

Barb - Having a hysterectomy is definitely something that you need to be sure you want before agreeing to do it. My daughter is going to have one in December for bleeding that was not stopped with having her fibroid tumors removed, being on birth control and a IUD. She is a single mom who has no plans to having more babies so she feels that since she has fibroid tumors that are getting bigger, it is a good choice for her. She just had weight loss surgery this Fall so I hope they do not have any problems with scar tissue when they go back in.

I have our second Bible study group in 2 hours so I need to get busy getting the house straightened and clothes folded. Talk to you tomorrow.

Marilyn - I am praying that your pain will lessen every day and that the infection will be totally gone from your body. I agree with Judith, your faith is strong which will keep you close to Jesus no matter what happens.

I have such a painful hip today. The socket is too small for the ball and I have moderate to severe Osteoarthritis in it. Sometimes it just causes me trouble. It usually lasts about 10 days and I think I am on day 4 of this bout. I've been using heat and anti inflammatory cream. I might need my cane as I have to go out this afternoon.

Linda, yes, the choir has men and women in it. We usually sing in unison as most don't have a musical background, but we have done echoes and rounds for some items. I hope your Bible study goes well today.

Barb, you are having lots of trouble with your health. I hope the Drs can help you make a good choice about the way forward. Glad you liked the pictures. I have Scottish ancestors too, and plenty of other nationalities are represented as well!

Judith, lovely stories about your Veteran ancestors. Thank you for sharing them. War is a terrible thing. My Dad was a Korean war Veteran who served in the Airforce in Japan. They were told never to speak of what they experienced. He suffered mentally the rest if his life, which meant our family did too. Now one of our sons, an Afghanistan war Veteran, is suffering. So far counselling had not helped him. We're very concerned for him right now. His name is Shaun.

Marilyn, hope you get a little stronger every day. I'm continuing to pray for you and to pray for all of the team.

Busy day with Bible study & watching Mariposa.
We may get rain tomorrow, morning. I put down the rest of the grass seed we had. I have a lot coming up & still see truck tracks. We may get some more thogh I’m hoping with rain & more grass seed it will look better.
I am in good health Linda, just maybe 8 days this past year, maybe less I’ve had one spot of blood at one time during the day. Probable due to lifting & most of the time due to the rash I sometimes get. It’s Linchen simplex complex. It’s ac nasty itch on the vulva, so you may get some blood from that.
I will talk to a gynecologist on the phone & zoom like on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. That way I can ask questions.
I know the hysterectomy recovery is long with no lifting for up to 6 weeks, that’s why I’ve been hesitant as my family needs my help. . More often than most not I’ve had no spotting of blood. . I have no other symptoms like pain etc.
Then realizing with the Nova Sure procedure I had done so not to, have a hysterectomy as my periods were so, heavy, back 20-30 years ago.
    Prayers for your daughter Linda.

All the veterans or remember day stories & pictures were great. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

    Prayers for all.
I got a just older youth group on Thursday hearing about a POW from North Korea. He was a prisoner for 11 months. This will be at our church. So we are looking forward to that.
Have a good day morning Susan.

We are under another Heavy Rain and Strong Wind Warning since last night. Ferries were cancelled. Basically everything came to a standstill. Thousands of homes with out power.

I didn’t lose power last night thankfully but the rain sure pelted down.

Lord willing I will be back later today. 🙏😇

Prayers Judith. Especially not to lose power.

We have had rain all morning. Now it is misty rain.
I got a cranberry salad made for the Joy group lunch tomorrow. Looking forward to, hearing about a former POW from North Korea.
Oh I had an ultrasound and in that it showed normal uterus with no mass and thin endometrial lining.

Prayers for all. I assume it’s Thursday for Susan. Enjoying spring. Do you have bulbs like we get tulips, crocuses, daffodils then also, lilac bushes, azaleas, & rhododendron, bushes. Plus flowerin fruit, dogwoods, and redbud trees?? Spring can be so pretty with all of life coming back from a cold winter. Though maybe not a cold winter isn’t Australia.

Continue prayers for everyone & healings.

Barb, yes, we have most of those plants and bulbs here in Australia but not necessarily in my area. I can't grow tulips, crocuses, daffodils, rhododendrons or lilacs. Not sure about redbud trees or dogwoods either. I have seen Azaleas around but they like colder weather than here. I mainly have succulents, drought hardy plants like my Ponytail plant, Bromeliads, orchids, and a few shade lovers like Clivia, Gerbera, Hippeastrum. I do have my two potted citrus trees but have to protect them from pests. Spring and Autumn are seasons in name only. It feels like we have a mild winter then summer heat, with few days of difference as the heat builds up or cools down. It's mainly hot here. Further south they can have cooler temps but it still gets hot so it makes temperate zone plants struggle. Yes, it is Thursday today here.

Judith, it's the time of night storms here. We had thunder and lightning last night and a few heavy showers. The wind blew a little, but the weather hasn't shut us down like it has there. Some areas of Brisbane did lose power though. I hope your weather damage is fixed soon. Stay safe! It's sunny here right now.

My hip is still bothering me so I am staying home from a family get together. Colin is going. Two sons and two granddaughters are going to an amusement park. I couldn't walk around so would be on my own or slowing everyone else down so home is better for me today.

    Thinking of you all.

Susan - I am so sorry that you are having hip pain. I also have osteoarthritis so am familiar with your pain. I hope that your pain goes away soon. I am sorry that you missed the family outing. I have loose ligaments that affect my Right hip and my left knee. I never know when the joint will decide to dislocate slightly. Since my hip replacement in 2020 on the right side I have not had any problems which is a relief. Do you have these painful times very often?

Barb - I am glad that you are getting rain now and that your grass is growing. Have you thought about putting some dirt in the marks in the truck made to make it level? I don't know how deep the marks go.

Judith - How is the weather? I am glad that you have not lost power with the wind and rain.

Since the physical therapy yesterday my incision has been more painful and I am really tired. She did a lot of massage which was supposed to break up the scar tissue. I took a nap this afternoon which is very unusual. After this next session, I will not be able to have therapy for two weeks because we will be in Denver. I still have home exercises that I can continue.

    Prayers for all of you!

Susan, so sorry you couldn’t go to your family get together with your painful hip. I hope you feel better soon. Take good care my friend. My prayers are with you.

Linda, so sorry the incision is so painful after your physiotherapy appointment. Hope it feels better soon. You asked about our weather, there is heavy rain but wind has slowed down and thankfully we didn’t lose power.

Barb, your cranberry salad sounds so delicious. Praising God for the good results of your ultrasound, God is So Good! I am sure the service will be so inspiring hearing the account and what he went through as a POW from North
    Korea.

God Bless you all, Prayers for you all. Love and Hugs 🙏❤️🤗

Reports on the family gathering were good. I am glad they had a good day. Colin also inspected a second hand golf cart and decided we'd buy it. It will help us to conveniently get around the Village no matter what our bones feel like. It gets delivered this Monday.

Judith, thank you for praying for us all. You must have more medical appointments soon. Praying for you.

Linda, your hip sounds painful too. I hope the treatment you got helps in the long run. I get hip pain flaring a couple of times a year.

Barb, thank you also for praying.

I just finished with physical therapy a few minutes ago. This was a different therapist and did not massage as much as the other one. I am still sore but not to the point I was two days ago. He says I am doing well - walking more normal and my range of motion is getting larger. I am glad to have this good report since I will be gone for the next two weeks in Denver. I still need to do the exercises two times a day on my own.

Susan - I hope your hip feels better soon. Has the socket always been too small for the head or has it gotten smaller with your osteoarthritis? Have you considered getting a hip replacement? Of course, that is a very personal decision and I do not want to sway you either way.

Barb - I am so glad that the ultrasound was normal and that the bleeding is only occasional. You have a lot of responsibilities that are important to do. Taking care of the grandkids is very rewarding but does carry lifting sometimes. I know you know to be careful with that extra weight.

I am going to my TOPS meeting tonight. I have missed going due to the surgery pain and weakness. Glenn will be driving me there and then going to the grocery store while I am in the meeting. My weight will be up from still some swelling, the extra weight from the hip prothesis (I know it is not much but I am claiming everything I can to explain the weight gain), as well a needing to wear support hose for another week.

    Thoughts and prayers for everyone.

Susan. So, sorry that you had to stay home because of your hip. Prayers you can get some meds or something that can help, you with the pain. Your flowers sound great. I always enjoy your pics of the pants you have taken.
Red bud, dogwood and even Bradford pear trees that bloom in the spring for us.
    Praying for you.

    Linda
That is good that even being away you will still exercise that is very important. Prayers for your safe travels too.

Judith prayers for your upcoming dr appointments that will be here soon. Also for your ramp.

The man who!was a POW for 11 months in North Korea. He was great. The stories he told us like he got tonsillitis & had his tonsils removed there in North Korea wherein they do not use any anesthesia Ouch. That had to hurt big time. Plus other surgeries with no anesthesia.

    Prayers for all.

Barb, thank you for sharing about the POW from North Korea, I am sure he was a powerful witness as he shared. That is so bad how they treated the Prisoners of War. Can’t imagine having surgery with out anesthesia. I am still rejoicing with the good report you received with the results of your ultrasound. Praise God! God is Good. Thank you for your prayers. I was supposed to have a call from Strata yesterday and today and they never called. It seems they are passing it off. I will call tomorrow and see if I can get thru and see what their plan is.

Linda, so glad you had a better Physio this time around. I am happy to hear you are having better range of motion and Physio is pleased with your progress. Good you have the exercises to keep up with while you are in Denver for 2 weeks. It will be nice for you to go to Tops and meet up with everyone you know there. I am trusting your weight won’t be up as much as you are expecting it to be. Take it easy and slow, you are doing so
well Linda. My prayers are with you always.

Susan, I am sorry you are having such discomfort and pain with your hip. I was happy that you have the golf cart now to travel in the community especially now with your painful hip. So nice Colin saw it advertised and went and saw it and bought it. When he is away with the car you can use the Golf Cart and bring groceries home easier now you won’t have to walk a great distance. So glad the family gathering went well. Sorry you had to miss it this time but trust next visit you will be able to go with Colin.

You all mentioned you were wondering about upcoming appointments. I was at one on this past Tuesday regarding appointments I am waiting on with Neurosurgeon for the possible injections on spine and neck from nerve damage caused by cancer and multiple surgeries. Then my appointment with a specialist who does laser surgery, will know in January if he can do that surgery. This next Thursday, the 21st I see my Surgeon for the diseased tissue to be removed. I see my Derma-Oncologist on December the 6th for follow up regarding treatment and chemotherapy ointment I have been using on lower face and lips diseased area. I will likely be sent for Blood work to check my Liver. Will keep you all posted as I know more.

God’s Blessings on your evening all. Sleep well. I am going to bed soon so will say Good Night & God Bless you! 😴❤️🙏🤗

    Prayers.

Susan. So sorry about your hip pain. That is so cool that Colin got a golf cart for you. You need to send us a picture of that. I’m sure we are picturing you in one.
Prayers for your hip & less pain.

We are way above normal temps with mid 60’s today & near 70* tomorrow. By Monday it should be
a day of rain & I will be watching Evan, a 2 year old. So, I got some tube cookies we can make. That should be fun & the family will enjoy that!
My Thanksgiving cactus is really blooming some may be diene so,I’ll send a picture if it. My Christ,as has may be a few but it’s been warm. The plant is upstairs which is not vented & need cool temps & darkness. Since our upstairs is not vented it is usually cooler now. Guess that will happen next week as we go from above to below.
