So here I am with my balloons on my bday.
We saw Annabelle. I posted it on prayer as answer to prayer.
Not sure why but my phone with my fitness pal was going to some other account with same I’d picture but not me Paraeast. Some letters & numbers. ID.
Took a hour or so to get it straightened out. So now iPad & cell on Paraeast me. Yeah.
My iPad had me but not my cell go figure. Technology I just don’t understand it. Technology.
Sorry for the heat Susan. Summer is a long time as January & February yet. Which month is the hottest for you?
Have a blessed lords day all.
Prayers for all especially Judith and her health.
Pearl.harbor day for USA today too

We just got home from going to "A Visit to Bethlehem ". It was a wagon ride on a farm to different places that was like the trip Mary and Joseph took to Bethlehem. At each stop, people dressed in robes talked about what they saw. It was a fellow traveler, the wise men, the shepherds and the angels, the Roman guard the inn and the manger. The kids really were involved with the stories. It was very cold (32F) but a fun time.
We also watched an online memorial service for a man in our church who died of brain cancer. He had written many songs that are in our song books. They said he had
written at least 100 songs. He will
be missed by so many people!
Judith - I am concerned about you loosing some weight. I pray that you will be able to regain the weight.2 -
Linda, that sounds like a lovely event, 'A Visit to Bethlehem '. Sorry for the loss of a good man from your congregation.
Barb, happy birthday for real. Those balloons look amazing. Glad you got to meet Annabella. She looks so cute. Yes, summer is barely started. The hottest time is usually Jan/Feb.
Judith, sorry to hear you have lost weight. I hope you can get it back in coming weeks. The treatments you are having would be affecting you, I am sure. I hope you feel more like eating soon. 🙏
It's cloudy and dark but also several degrees cooler today, thankfully. I need to get my day started and have some breakfast. Enjoy your days, everyone.

Barb - I am so sorry that I missed your birthday yesterday. I had it written down but somehow I missed it. Thanks for the picture. Those balloons are so pretty. We had some like that at our anniversary a few years ago and we brought them from Denver to our house in Grand Junction. One number burst as we went over the mountains because the higher altitude made the air expand in the balloon. Now you and Annabelle's birthdays are just a day apart. I have a granddaughter that is one day after my birthday so she likes to celebrate with me. It makes it easier on all of us since we are all so busy. She also has a party with her friends on a different day. I am praying that Annabelle is getting stronger every day and can come home soon. Is Hong Hong going to stay in the hospital as long as Annabelle will be in the hospital?
Susan - I assume as your Spring/Summer advances, that your days are getting longer. Glenn said yesterday he is looking forward to longer days. Our winter starts December 21st and the days will start to lengthen a little each day. He seems to be more sensitive to this change than I am. On December 22nd he says the extra minutes of sunshine is so good for his mood. I'm not sure I believe that he can feel it but if it helps who am I to question?? LOL
We had a Christmas potluck at church today. The students are through with their classes this week and are going home so we did not want to miss celebrating with them. The theme was our "favorite holiday food". I decided to make scalloped potatoes. I usually parboil the potatoes but I decided to use a recipe this time rather than throwing things together as I usually do. It had the same ingredients but said to put in raw potatoes and bake it for an hour. I made it on Saturday and the recipe said to take it out of the refrigerator two hours ahead of time to get it to room temperature before baking. I got up at 6:30am to get it out but at 8:30 it was still cold - definitely not room temperature. I baked it for an hour but it was not done so I put up the oven temperature and we waited and waited for it to get done. I took it out when it had baked for 1 1/2 hours. We were late for church but they had just started singing so we did not miss the sermon. It evidently cooked a bit more as we traveled with it wrapped in a towel because people who ate it said that it was fine. Next time I will go back to my old recipe in my head and do it my tried and true way.

Judith praying for you that you can gain & not lose weight. ,albeit pig out on some cookies? Many prayers.
Linda the visit to Bethlehem sounds neat. I’ve heard of churches doing it.
Annabella is still in NICU but breathing & eating in her own. Pray that HH can get more milk so,they don’t have to use bottles, like they did, for Mariposa. They say Annabella is a preemie. I think being 6 lbs & 3 oz is not a premie. Maybe tonight or tomorrow and she may be able to,go,home with a bottle plus nursing.
Sorry Susan about the heat.
Cloudy here but nice temps the cold temps come Tuesday.
Hoping my packages get delivered. We got our tree up but 1/3 lights not working so wondering how to, find the light that not working or get a new tree? Or wait till after Christmas.
1 -
Happy Happy Birthday Barb, so sorry I missed it yesterday as I was focusing on Annabella and Hong Kong. So happy to see Annabella is breathing on her own and is also eating. Will pray HH can get more milk in so she can breastfeed Annabella and not use formula and bottles. Thanks for sharing pictures of the Birthday balloons! Sorry about your tree not having all the lights on. Thanks for your concern about weight loss, you mentioned eating mega cookies, wish I could but taking in more high calorie soups and Hot Chocolate smoothies with mega whipping cream! I am back up to 94 pounds. Yay me
Linda, so nice you had your Christmas Potluck at Church today, so sorry you had all that trouble with getting your Scalloped Potatoes to cook. I agree it probably best to use your recipe that works. You mentioned in your other post that you and Grandkids went on a trip to Visit Bethlehem. I love that, that would be so fun stopping at all the places dressing up and seeing something different along the way. Really brings the Christmas story Home and alive. I am sure your
grandkids loved the experience. Thanks for your concerns about my weight loss, I am now back up
to 94 pounds. YAY!
Susan, thanks for your concern about my weight, happy to say I am back up to 94 pounds. You said your weather was cloudy and dark and cooler temps, sounds a lot like my weather of late. Hope you have a good breakfast and get your day going. Take care
See you all tomorrow.
Good Night 😴 Sweet Dreams! 🙏🤗💕😇0 -
Hi everyone. It's cloudy and muggy here, definitely summer just without direct sunlight. Yesterday it was stifling even at midnight so I put the air conditioning on before bed. It was hard for me to breathe in the high humidity as I have the type of asthma that is agfected by temperature and humidity. We had turned the ac off around nightfall but it was not long before the house heated up and got humid again. It's definitely not cool today either.
Judith, I am glad you have gotten back to 94lbs. I hope you can get even higher. It is hard when you cannot chew anything and have to stick to liquids. Do you add any healthy oils to your shakes?
Linda, the potato scallops were probably yummy but what a lot of extra trouble you had to go to to get them done! I agree, our head recipes are often better than professional written ones. That's interesting that Glenn is affected by the seasons too. Yes, our days are longer it being summer now. It's just the heat and humidity that gets to me over summer. Summer started Dec 1st and our summer solstice is Dec 21st, the longest day of the year.
Barb, that's good news that Annabella is getting stronger. I hope HH can feed her more easily than she could with Mariposa. How was the rest of your birthday? I hope you got spoiled.

Short update.
Am doing well - still not on dialysis, appendix seems to have healed and generally feeling better. Need to get blood work done this week as next week I see the kidney doctor.
Saturday I gave up pop - no more gingerale. And today (day 3 of not having) is showing the scale is starting to go down again. Though I am missing the gingerale and as my hubby says I am a bit out of sorts I know it is for the best. I can now see that I can be under 220 by the end of the year which is truly a blessing
So day 3 no soda pop and counting
2 -
Marilyn. You can do, it with no pop. I hardly drink any I prefer water it does take some getting use to. Sparks got me started & I’ve kept it up, now for 10 years or more now. I carry water every where. Prayers.
Prayers on your appendix has healed.
Susan sorry about your breathing with the humidity & all. Do you have any ceiling fans? I find that they can help a room house be cooler with them on. Prayers.
Linda glad your potluck went well trust all going well with you.
Judith so glad you are back to 94 lbs. maybe you can get to 95 lbs. prayers. Plus with your new lump and all you go through with your mouth and all. That maybe why it’s hard to eat. I thought of that when I went to bed. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Annabella went home today. I guess Hong has to nurse & use a bottle like they did with Mariposa. Praying that she can skip the bottle but drs really like heavy bottles.
I’ll send 2 pics of the sister Mariposa is ready for Christmas the 2 pics are not of them together. I’m sure my son will send one some time after he takes one. Prayers they get some sleep. At least Amy is there to help.
I’m not sure about the tree, as it could be a long project checking lights one at a time, so I may look into lighted tree. Mean time pray & look.
1 -
Barb - the pictures of the girls are so cute. I do hope Hong Hong can be able to breast feed the baby. Hong Hong of course needs to do what is best for Annabelle. Each child is different and needs must be met appropriately.
Susan - I am sorry that the weather has made it difficult to breathe. I am so glad you have air conditioning that takes the humidity out of the air for you. We are the opposite with low humidity and my skin gets so dry and itchy.
Judith - Yea! keep up the good work on the weigh gain. Lots of whipped cream on your smoothies sounds yummy. At work, for those who had problem with their weight, the kitchen put butter in a lot of their food including their breakfast oatmeal. I am sure you have your ways of adding calories to your soups and smoothies. Your hanging baskets you mentioned in the other threads sound so beautiful except for the bees flying around them. I know your baskets are probably frozen now but I was just thinking how pretty they must have been during the summer.
Marilyn - It is great to be hearing from you again. I will pray that you can fight against the urge to drink pop. When it is a habit it is hard to stop. You are doing great and I an visualizing the 220# by the end of the year.
Today we went end of the year grocery shopping. Glenn worked at Walmart for 20 years as a pharmacist and when he retired they gave him a card to get 10% off on paper goods and canned goods that are Walmart brand. For the time between Thanksgiving and New Years day, they give 10% off of everything we buy. We went through the cashier line but when we looked at the print out of what we bought, we did not get 10% off anything. We had to go to customer service and they went through every item in our two carts and gave us credit for everything we bought then we had to go through the cashier line again and be charged for everything we bought again. This time the discount was given to us so we saved $30. It took a long time but the discount was really nice. The manager talked to us and said they have been having problems with the register that we originally checked out on. Evidently we were not the only ones that had to go through paying, then getting a refund, then paying again with the discount.
1 -
What a nuisance, Linda. Glad you were able to get your discount in the end. Yes, the air con makes breathing easier for me. Today Humidity will be in the high 80s and 90s a lot. It's at night that it is usually highest. I usually manage with our ceiling fans but when it is hot as well, the air conditioning is a big blessing. The air con has a function that takes moisture out of the air so we use it too. I remember you saying how dry the weather is there and having to use moisturiser every day. Ugh.
Barb the girls are beautiful. Annabella has such a serene expression in that photo. How wonderful that she could go home! Mariposa is such a cutie. I hope you can find the lights that aren't working on your tree. Yes, I do use our ceiling fans constantly in summer. We even sleep under one as it is too hot here at night. The air conditioning takes the moisture out of the air when it's too muggy to breath normally. I try to only use the ac when necessary due to the cost of running it, but this week we've had a heat wave across the country so it has been on a lot.
Marilyn, it's good to hear how you are doing. Glad you figured out the soft drink/pop is a problem. I gave it up many years ago. Did you know pop also draws calcium out of your bones? You can do it!
Judith, I like Linda's suggestion of extra butter for you. Can you tolerate it? I hope you can. Thinking of you as you deal with pain every day and sending prayers and hugs.1 -
Hi all
Judith. The extra butter sounds good plus using the whip, cream to add some calories for you m. Prayers.
Susan
Was it a bit cooler. Praying for you as summer will be. Along time for you. Will you suffer in the next 2 months too prayers. Any ceiling fans & do they help you? Prayers. So,sorry that the electric bill is high.
Marilyn it was good to, hear from you. Praying you are doing it better with life without soda. Now when I have it I don’t like the carbonation.
Prayers.
Linda. So glad you got the discount. So Glenn was a pharmacist Harry is a pharmacist tech he has found the pharmacist mistakes & one doesn’t like it when he has. I would think they be happy as you don’t want to ,are any mistakes and cost someone’s life.
Annabella. Home & we are praying she gains I’ll put it in prayers.
A busy day. I bought a new tree & I got a good deal at kohls. The trees are 50% off then with my Kohls card I got another 30% off plus $10 off I got it for $49. Nice it’s a $149 tree. It’s a bit taller so I hope it fits in our container, though I saved the box it came in too.
Thursday, JOY group, just older youth group is Thursday so I’m making a salad for that. Then I’ll be help with a funeral as a wife in our SS class died so I’ll help with the meal and serving too on Saturday . Busy week for me.1 -
This morning I had my last physical therapy session until after Christmas since we are leaving tomorrow to go to Westminster and celebrate Christmas with family. I took a test to see how I feel I am doing. It compared what I was able to do at my first appointment and how I feel now. It showed that I am doing better than just the "average person" with the same age and diagnosis. The therapist also did several tests by having me push against his hand to see how strong my muscles are. He said I am doing well too. It had been hard work and a lot of sore muscles but I am seeing improvement.
I am cleaning and doing laundry today to get ready for our trip. While we are gone, the church will meet at our house for a men's midweek worship time. I figure if I get only the parts of the house that they will see, I do not have to have the bedroom spic and span. I will do what I can but I also have a Christmas party to go to tomorrow morning before we leave. I will find out at 6pm if I have to be at the court at 7:45am for jury duty on Thursday.
Barb - that is interesting that Harry is a pharmacy tech. Glenn worked with a lot of good ones and was glad if someone told him something that did not work wrong. It is a team work to make sure everyone is safe with their medications. I hope Hong Hong and baby are doing well. It is hard having a surgery as well as having a baby. I am so glad that her mother is with her. I am glad that you were able to get a new tree. It is frustrating to have a string of lights not work. Does this tree have lights already on it?
Susan - I pray that you will have some cooler weather so you can breathe better.
Greetings to the rest of you! It's time for me to get back to work cleaning.

Evening All
Barb, the pictures of both girls are precious. You have beautiful Granddaughters. I am sure you are a proud Grandmother of all your Grandkids.
I was on the Prayer Thread and prayed for both Annabella and HK. Will let you read my prayer post and JC prayer post. Yes my weight has been fluctuating between 93 and 94 pounds. I use whipped cream on my Hot Chocolate and Cream in my Soups and other liquids. It is hard not being able to chew. I am trusting God that my mouth and jaw be healed in Jesus name!
Marilyn, so good to see you back here posting, you have sure been missed. I am rejoicing with you that you are not on dialysis, this is good news. Praise God that the appendix has healed. God has answered our prayers! Trusting you will have good blood work results. Awesome news about you off pop and no more ginger ale, thanking God you are Day 3 and no POP, yes you will be able to have better control over your
weight now. You are doing fantastic! I agree with you Marilyn that you can be under 220 pounds by the end of the year. Yay, Day 3 and Counting with you Marilyn (No POP)! 👍😊🙏
Susan, I will try the Butter, you all have suggested it, I think I saw recipes at the Cancer Clinic that used butter. I use a lot of creams and whipping creams and mega Boost nutritional drinks, high calorie soups thinner milkshakes and add Whipping cream to those drinks. I appreciate any suggestions.
Linda, so sorry you had to go through all that to get your 10% off your purchases but glad it worked out in the end. So glad you had your last Physical Therapy session that will carry you through to after Christmas. You are doing well with your recovery and healing. Please don’t overdo things before you leave for your trip. Enjoy the Christmas party tomorrow. You said you would find out tomorrow on whether you had to report to Jury Duty. I think I missed that post. Where is the Court Case that you might have to be on the Jury? Hope you don’t have to travel far.
I wasn’t online yesterday as my body was just not comfortable enough. Tonight is much better and I am all caught up with the Threads here. It’s good to see you all keeping the Team going especially when I have a day I can’t be here!
Good Nite All! Have a good Nite rest. 😴🙏😇🤗0 -
Judith, it's good to see you feel well enough to post today. It does take some concentrating to do that and if the body is uncomfortable, the brain can't think! I hope the butter recipes help you. Do they recomnend you add eggs to your smoothies? There are many whole foods that can be blended up, right? I remember my Mom having to have all of her teeth out at once because of gum disease. She couldn't chew for months while she healed. She blended all sorts of things. She even tried blending up steak but she said it was yucky! I am thinking chicken liver pate would be high in calories, nice tasting and full of good fats too. Hugs.
Linda, that's great news about your progress with your hip. You sure do sound busy and having to be on it cleaning and travelling. It's a busy time of year for sure! Thank you for praying about the temperature here. I guess it being summer, we will just have to adjust. The temp is rising again after all our rain the last few days. That's normal. I just prefer the cooler seasons and my body does, too!
Barb, glad you got a new tree and at such a good price. I'm praying for Annabella and HH. It must be such a concern we with the baby losing weight. My daughter was a premie and list weight too. So they sent us to bed for a week, with baby feeding on demand! It worked! Yes, we have ceiling fans that we use a lot. All houses seem to have them here and businesses too. They do help but on really hot days, the wind they produce is hot too. So we use the air conditioning when things get too hot. The electrical bill isn't too bad, really. We have some solar panels on the roof that offset the bill.
1 -
Thank you for the comments. We enjoy the 2 grand girls.
So I helped with 3 loads of wash after spending the night in ER. Please pray. I put details in prayer tab. I even held Annabella. New horns are so small you forget how small till you see one.
We will have a joy group the older youth at our church for lunch tomorrow. We will have a singing group with a accordion singing. It will be fun.
Linda. So good to, hear about how good your progress on your hip. Prayers for full recovery. Glad no more PT. That’ encourageing. That neat that your church can use your house while you are away.
Let us know if you have jury duty.
Susan we pray it will get cooler but we know it’s summer. Prayers that your asthma won’t be too bad. Thank goodness for a/c.
Marilyn. I’m sure you can get down the weight you like. Praying so with God’s help you can do it. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Judith.
Praying you gain weight the butter to some foods a fed may be the eggs in smoothies. Sounds like the group has some great suggestions. Prayers they can help you. I’m sure you miss chewing. Praying that the drs can figure out what or how to help you live a normal life.
Prayers for all.1 -
Susan, Thank you for the suggestions to add to my smoothies, never thought of Chicken- Liver Pate, I always enjoyed both meats and as a pate, so will look up recipes that include those meats. I do have access to some recipes via our Cancer Clinic Library. I opened up a account with them and have a Library card and have taken out books with their library.
Barb, I read your update and prayer request on our Prayer Thread. My prayers continue with all your family. Your Joy Group tomorrow with your Youth group with singing and accordion accompaniment. This is one instrument you don’t hear often. Always enjoyed the accordion 🪗 Always brings an upbeat sound. Sure gets your toe tapping a long with the music. 🎼
Tomorrow morning I have a Surgical procedure at VGH with my Surgeon, he will remove the excessive diseased tissue and skin.
Will update you tomorrow.
Will say Good Night 😴 and God Bless. 😇🤗0 -
We made it safely to Westminster but did have to drive partly in the dark. We had to leave late due to the Christmas party I attended. It was our weight loss group but I was surprised when they had pies, a cake and cookies for dessert. They also had turkey and lots of other food. I enjoyed the salads they had that were less calories. I received Christmas themed towels and hot pads at the gift exchange. When we got here, our daughter had dinner ready and the grandkids helped bring in the stuff we had brought over. The jury duty was for the city of Westminster which includes traffic violations, small claims court and other
small things. The summons said to call at 6pm the day before to see if there were any cases to be heard. I tried an hour early and was able to find out that the court was cancelled and I was not needed. I wonder what God has in mind having us come here early. Depending on how our daughter does after surgery on the 20th we may need to stay later than we
planned.
Barb - We are praying earnestly for Hong Hong and Annabelle' s health. It is hard having to watch our children go through these hard times. This is when we need to flex our faith muscle and know that our loving heavenly father has everything planned out for our best even if we may not see it yet.
Judith - praying for your surgical procedure and look forward to seeing your weight go back up. With the interventions that have been suggested, it seems like there are some new things you may choose to try.1 -
Hello everyone. We didn't have our friends stay overnight after all but we do have family staying tonight. I'm having a cooking day and am still making and writing out cards.
Linda it's nice you didn't have to do jury duty. Glad the drive up was uneventful.
Judith, praying for you as you face more medical procedures. I hope you find some things that help you with maintaining or increasing your weight.
Barb, I checked the prayer request thread. Praying for HH. Glad you got to hold baby Annabella and do something practical to help the family. They are having a rough time.
1 -
Cold day but the. It’s December. PTL. Annabella gained 1.25 oz. Do the trip to. ER caused no problem.
She has another weight check on Monday. I’ll post in prayer post too.
Thank you for prayers.
JOY group was fun. The lady plays the accordion very well she did some of our favorites we sang too it was nice.
Lots of food. I came home with left overs of my corn bread salad but I know people liked it & some had seconds. I made a lot.
Praying Judith. I hope your not too much pain from having the diseased tissues & skin removed. Prayers you can enjoy food & gain weight.
Linda glad you made it safely to Westminster.
Glad no jury duty. Prayers for your daughter & her surgery next week.
The towels sound nice. I got some too for my bday from my prayer partner.
Susan hope you got all the cards made you wanted to. Plus cooking.
Also for your heat & your asthma.
Tomorrow is craft day at the church. Then I will make some more bread homemade with bread machine. I cheat it’s some that way.
Then I’ll make a dump cake with pumpkin & walnuts.
This is for a memorial for a lady at church on Saturday. I will help serve or clean up whatever they tell me. The husband is in our SS church.
I also need to start wrapping grandkids gifts.1 -
Barb - praise God for the weight gain for Annabelle. Every ounce is important when they are little. I am hoping that Hong Hong is feeling better also. I am glad she has more family to help coming soon. I assume that you are still involved watching Mariposa too. I have your recipe for the corn bread salad but I have not remembered to try it. Since your talked about it again, I will look up the recipe and see if I can make it soon. The Joy group sounds fun. Not many people play the accordion anymore. I am fascinated by them playing on the side of the instrument without not seeing where their hands are. I guess it is like when I used to play the organ that I did not have to check where my feet were on the pedals all the time. I am sure it takes lots of practice.
Susan - Your house is busy again with guests. You are very hospitable to many friends. I hope you are breathing better.
Judith - I hope you are resting today after your procedure. I pray that there will be a time when there is no more diseased tissue to remove by the surgeon.
I did some admission work for the school and got papers ready to file. I have not made it down to the basement to do that yet. I am trying to not walk up and down too many stairs on my first day here. I will gradually increase how many times I do it as we stay longer. I do feel that my leg is not as weak as it was the last time we were here which is an encouragement to me. I also took a long walk today and tried to keep my stride long to stretch the thigh muscle. We are alone tonight at home. Our granddaughter is babysitting our other grandkids at their house. My daughter is still at work and will not be home until 8pm. I need to start the chicken pot pie that she requested for tonight. I let her choose what she wants to eat and then I cook it so it is ready when she comes home exhausted from all the trauma she had heard during the day. She counsels a lot of troubled teens and have lots of strong emotions.1 -
Thursday I was at the Hospital for the medical procedures and he needs me back next Thursday.
It’s late or should I say early Friday morning so I am heading to bed after a trying day.
Will catch up a little later when I am back up.
Good Night 😴 God Bless!0 -
A quick check in from me. Younger son's family is here. We're about to eat breakfast then get in the car to drive two hours to our other son's place with heaps of food and our dogs. It's raining. Have caught up.on your posts and am thinking of you all.1
-
Susan. Enjoy the family time. Show long will you have guests? Hopefully Musi made it safely where you were going too.
Linda. Sounds like you have a busy weekend. Nice you have a grand daughter who can help with the younger grand children. Wournoldest grand daughter enjoys and can be a big help watching her cousins too. Probably best not to do too much steps yet. I’m sure it will come. Prayers.
Judith. I hope you rested today and we will pray for continue to pray for healing. Prayers for whatever they will do on Thursday. Also how is the pain praying? 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Cold day. I made a scrubby & a dish cloth at the craft day, the. I went back to my sweater I am making for myself. It’s the first sweater I’ve ever made for myself.
I have not helped with Mariposa as her other grandmother, Amy is there & Sunday her aunt Yan Yan & Uncle Ben will be there so a full house.
I figure they need all the time with them as they will, go back to Hong Kong and I am here. Harry will take HH & Annabella Tuesday for a weight check, as HH due to some medicine she cannot drive. I’m sure that will be ok to drive for her soon.
Prayers for all.1 -
I broke my daughter's coffee carafe last night when I was washing it so today we went to the store to buy her a new one and a few other things. We ended up buying a lot more than we had planned but they were needed - we had just forgotten about them until we saw them in the store. I guess that is what happens a lot. I do know that Walmart moves things occasionally so when people are looking for them, they see other things and buy them too. There is psychology involved in where things are placed on higher or lower shelves also. When I go to buy healthy shredded wheat cereal, it is on the lowest shelf and all the sweetened cereals are at a child's eye level so they will see them.
Susan - I am so glad that you are getting to spend time with family. It sounds like your vehicles were pretty full as you traveled.
Judith - Rest well my friend. I am sorry that you have to go back to the surgeon again next week to have more done. I hope it comes to an end soon that you need this debridement. I am excited that they will be trying laser the first of the year. So many health care providers have started using laser as a treatment option. It is even used for tattoo removal.
Barb - I am so grateful for the good reports we are getting from Hong Hong and Annabelle. I assume that she is enjoying being with family during this time. Has it been a long time since she has seen them? Are your knitting or crocheting your sweater? I have never taken on that big of a project. I am sure it will be beautiful when it is done.
Have a great weekend!1 -
Linda, I sure hear you when you talk about Walmart with how they place things, when my kids were young we’d go shopping and even back then the shelves had all the sweet cereals on the shelf for my kids eye level, of course you know what they wanted. And I admit I have gone shopping in past and bought things that were pleasing to the eye, and way more than I intended to buy. But it’s good you bought new carafe and other needed items for your daughter.
Not sure if they are going to do laser my Surgeon said the Specialist I see in January has to see how face presents itself and how well new med worked. He said if med didn’t work he was sending me back to Surgeon for Biopsy & then maybe Laser. Will keep you posted.
Barb, so glad Hong Kong is able to spend time with the family from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 has it been a long time since she saw her family? It’s great you are knitting a sweater for yourself. That’s a big project. That was nice you made a scrunchie and dishcloth at the Craft day you attended. I am knitting an Afghan for my living room and will have it displayed on back of chesterfield but will also use it as a cover when lying down on couch.
Susan, so glad you are having that time with your family. So nice to be with both son’s. Safe travels as you visit at both households.
Blessings all and May your Lord’s Day be blessed as you attend Church and spend time with family and friends! 🙏🤗😇0 -
Hello everyone. We had a full day yesterday. It was fun but boy were we tired at the end!
Son 2's family came to stay with us overnight only. They live an hour north of us, and son 1's family lives 2 hrs west of us.
We all went in son 2s car yesterday. Son 2 drove us out to son 1s house, and DIL 2 drove us home at the end of the day. Son 2s family then drove themselves home. It was raining so I asked them to let me know they got home safely. They did.
Everyone had cooked something nice for our shared meal. Son 1 has 3 children ages 16, 15 and 11. Son 2 has a 2yo. The kids love seeing each other though the16yo went off with friends after saying hello. DIL 1 had decorated her Christmas tree beautifully. I enjoyed looking at it so much.
We have church this morning and it is church luncheon day do I need to go help pack up the food. Have a good day everyone.

What a beautiful tree! Good job!
I had a funeral that I attended & helped with serving. I made a pumpkin pecan dump cake. It was good! The lady who died her sister, twin got sick after eating so they took her to, the hospital. She lives in the area & is 84 years old. Her grandson’s wife is from Canada. So it’s hard as they are to go back home to,Canada. Praying lots. The sister’s name is Naomi.
I am constipated. I halve an extra long colon & have been so good but for some reason I’ve not gone now for 2 days. I’m taking what usually works & so far it hasn’t worked.
Linda. I always find my Walmart changing where thy might put items. Maybe to make you walk more to buy more?
Linda. I love your tree. You did good. Glad you can enjoy your family.
Judith. Many prayers. Wisdom for drs. Praying as you see Dr Thursday coming up.

We just got back from downtown Denver to see some Christmas decorations. The first one we saw was a drone show that had 400 drones making different seasonal moving pictures. It was amazing! The visuals were 400 feet across and 500 feet high in the sky. They had things from local Denver landmarks to Santa and sleigh to "Blucifer" which is a blue horse with red eyes sculpture at the Denver International Airport. The man who created it was killed when it fell on him as he was putting on the finishing touches. Our second stop was to see the amazing lighted Christmas tree across from the capital building. It is 110 feet tall and has lights that blink on and off make dazzling displays. There is a walkway through it where you can look up and see the light show. If what I say was confusing, I will say it is a metal frame that holds 100's of light panels that are synchronized to make the designs. It is not a living tree as most people think of when talking about a Christmas tree. Our daughter who does not mind driving in the dark or driving in Denver took us down so we paid her by stopping at a favorite frozen yogurt store on the way home. You can choose from 12 flavors of soft-serve frozen yogurt and then they have lots of toppings to put on it. You pay by the weight of the yogurt.
This afternoon we tackled cleaning the "toy room". It was the dining room originally but our granddaughter has so many toys she has collected over the years (especially Barbie dolls) that they have taken over the whole room. It looks so nice and organized now. We have the kitchen/family room to work on next then we will be ready for the early family Christmas party we are having on Tuesday. This same granddaughter, Aryn, just got her last acceptance letter from the five colleges that she applied for. Now she has to decide where she wants to go. Once she decides we can try to move forward in what to do with this house in Westminster. It is getting expensive to have two houses and we really would like to sell this one. As long as she and her mother are living here, we will not sell it. It is hoped that our daughter will move to Grand Junction with us but as I said it will depend on where Aryn decides to go to college. If she chooses a Denver based school, they will need to stay in this house for a bit longer.
Tomorrow we have the children's Christmas play at church. We are excited to be here to see our grandkids be involved in it. Our grandson has speaking part of an angel and our granddaughter is singing.1 -
