Barb - If I were choosing between the insta-pot and the air fryer, I would pick the air fryer if you do much frying. The only thing I use my insta-pot for is to make yogurt. My insta-pot has an insert that can be used as an air fryer so I have both to use. I prefer the older pressure cooker to an instant pot if I have a choice. I guess I am just familiar with that more since I saw my Mom use the pressure cooker a lot. The dump cake sounds so easy to make. I enjoy the ease of not having so many bowls to wash since my dishwasher is not working right now.
Susan - I hope you had a good rehearsal today. As I have gotten older, I think I would have problems remembering my lines if I were in a play at my age. You are a bit younger than I am so maybe that makes a difference.
Marilyn - My prayers are with you at the loss of two very important people in your life in the past few months. May you and the rest of the family feel the peace of Jesus as he puts his arms around you as you grieve. I especially pray the the spouses as they process the loss of their partner for many years. That leaves a huge hole in their hearts that may never be fully healed.
Judith - praying for the second of multiple doctor appointments that you have coming up. I pray for strength and endurance as you are examined by these specialists. May they have wisdom as they made crucial decisions in your treatment.
I went to lunch with two friends today at Red Lobster restaurant. As it's name indicates, they have lots of fish, lobster, clams, shrimp dishes. Since seafood is not my favorite, it was a bit difficult choosing what to eat. I did find something that worked - cod which I do eat because it has such a mild flavor. Later we had some errands to run and then we stopped at a chicken restaurant for take out to eat at home. Eating out two times in one day did add a lot of extra calories for the day. It's back to watching my calories and exercising to see how much more weight I can loose.

Marilyn So sorry for you loss. I will be praying for you and your family, having 2 die together makes it very hard, Many prayers.
Susam your play sounds so cool & Feb 1 will be here before we know it. Do you find memorizing easy? I try to memorize Sciptrure and it is not as easy as it was when I was a kid. Guess it is just one of the things with getting older.
Judith So glad that you are home after the treatments. Prayers that they are helping you and for your strength and enndurance after all that you have to go through with the treatments.
Last night was fun and I stole a snowman music box.\, at the white elelphant exchange. I thought that my grandkids might like the music box.
I still have not decided what to get but will be looking. I'm kind of leaning toward the toaster oven with air fryer that my sister suggested, as you can make a lot with the air fryer including fish and chicken. Neat.
Thank you all for the anniversary greetings, it will be 47 years. Harry has a home to place and I start back with tthe Ladies Bible study at our church. So a busy day.
I will post the recipe for you who may be interersted today.
Have a good weekend all.1 -
Good morning all. Am rushing to get to church so this will be brief if that's alright.
Barb thank you for the recipes. I will modify them so I can eat them but it's good to have new ideas and reminders. Hope you enjoy your new apiance, whichever one you choose.
Linda, I would be like you about the seafood and probably would have chosen the same dish for the same reasons. Cheering you on with the weight loss.
Judith, praying your appointments go well. You are such a trooper. I really am praying all these treatments do what they need to do. The Lord heal you, my friend.
Marilyn, may the kidney function test show improvement. I am so sorry for the profound losses in your family right now. May the Lord comfort and shield you all.1 -
Barb - I think that you got a good choice in your white elephant gift. What song does the music box play? I really enjoy listening to them although it usually is just part of a verse instead of the whole song which is understandable. The music box would have to be huge to have the whole song playing.
Marilyn - praying for an improvement in your kidney numbers.
Susan - I hope you had an inspiring worship service. Is your church very far away from your home or is it in your little community? did you play an instrument today?
Judith - any news from your appointment from yesterday you have to share?
We are having a date time at home today. We splurged today and had onion rings. I hope it does not effect my weight too much.1 -
Barb, I love Music Boxes, great buy! Enjoy whatever appliance you choose. And thanks for posting on our Recipe Thread!
Susan, enjoy your morning service, will you be playing your Ukulele? Thank you for your kindness and encouraging words.
Linda, you mentioned eating at Red Lobster, we had a Red Lobster here in my area and they had a Monday night all you can eat Seafood and Steak dinner. My son loved Lobster and I did too but also enjoyed Shrimp! Actually all seafood. For Fish I always went for Halibut and Fries! And heaps of Tarter Sauce to dip the fish in! Date Night at Home, sounds fun. Hope you enjoyed
your Onion rings.
I had my appointments Thursday and Saturday, will bring an update to you all tomorrow or at least by Monday! Good Night All! God Bless! 😴❤️🙏1 -
Good morning! I'm time poor this morning. I may come back later though.
To answer questions about church, I always play flute there. Yesterday was no exception. We now have our friend Joe playing harmonica with us! Pastor's wife Karen is on piano and Pastor's son David is on guitar. Karen, David and I have done church music together since 2008. Joe has played in church off and on depending on his health. He has played harmonica most of his life, so we make a joyful noise!2 -
Good eve here. Morning maybe for Susan. Happy Monday there. 😄
We have had a few days of above freezing so some snow, ice melted. Roads are getting clearer if they have been plowed. Some have not. Oh well.
My music box snowman plays: “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas.” t’s neat. So many silly gifts like used Christmas lights, heater, some kind of wrap to keep gutters clear & a silly Minnie bow that lights up. I’m sure we will see some of these next year.
My Bible was at my town’s PO but I’ve not delivered yet.
Now there is an alert due to weather, which on Friday & Saturday was 35*. It’s in route to another place not sure why, as it sat at my PO for 2 days.
I think no mail for Biden’s funeral messed it up.
Oh well I did find out that our pastor uses ESV so he was pleased I ordered one & got large print.
Be nice to have it for the ladies Bible study that starts back on Tuesday. Oh well patience, Barb.
It was so nice to worship at our church today since last week we were in a blizzard.
Cold temps come back tomorrow as tomorrow’s high is only 22*
Judith prayers for you & drs. Also safety traveling & all that you will go through. 🙏🏻
Susan. My sister & daughter play the flute. Such a nice instrument. In fact all my kids can play an instrument. We paid for private lessons for all 4 of them. Plus bought instruments for them. One being a French horn who borrowed a school, horn when he was in school.
Linda. Did you make the onion rings. Enjoy & prayers you kept your weight the same.
Marilyn prayers for you too.1 -
Susan - Your collection of instruments sounds like a beautiful way to accompany the congregation in songs. Today we just had a keyboard and a guitar. We usually have a bass guitar also but he could not come early to practice before the service. I was trying to learn chording to be able to play when our usual keyboard person was gone but I just find that I do not enjoy playing that way. I like to play the whole song as written in the hymn book. Of course a lot of the more modern ones do not have it written like that and just do the chords. I am still learning but am not sure how much longer I will try to learn.
Barb - I do think that it is fun to give back the same gift I got for a white elephant the next year. I may do that next year with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. I am glad that your streets are getting clearer. No I did not make my own onion rings. I do have a recipe that my M-I-L gave me that I like but I figured that if it was a date, I should not have to work hard for dinner. We bought the rings frozen although I like my own much better. My in-laws used to raise onion as a crop. They had lots of recipes for using up the onions. They gave us a 50# sack of onions one time that we shared with out friends. They were jumbo onions and were very flavorful. I'm sorry that you do not have your Bible yet. I am sure you will enjoy it when it does get delivered. Having a large print is so helpful to read for us.
Judith - hope you have had a good day. Stay warm and safe during this cold time.
I am writing this while sitting beside the fireplace. The rest of the house seems to be colder so I am gravitating toward the warmth. It is not a real fireplace with wood. It is actually a gas fireplace that looks like a real one. If is much easier to handle without having to cut and split the wood then having to carry out the ashes when it is done. Tomorrow we have the pest control person come to do the quarterly spraying for insects. I don't see any bugs right now but they say we need to do it to prevent the bugs from hatching in the Spring. We used to have so many tiny ants in the house but since they started, we have not seen any. They were in the bathrooms and around the washer. I guess they were looking for water.1 -
Talking about music at church.. We have 2 services on Sunday and each of them the worship team plays. Today there was 7 of them. Electric guitars, violin, electric piano/organ, drums and 2 extra singers. They do a lot of practicing and sound very professional but to me it is to loud. Our service is televised at the 11 oclock and is sent out over the church's website - the staff has recorded people from all over the US, Canada and even in Europe who are following along with us. We are a growing church and is full of people who really love the Lord and do a lot of ministrying to others. Am told by the staff that on any Sunday that over 2,000 people come into the building on Sundays and at Christmas and Easter it is amazing how many are reached. We are always having baptisms as people listen and join us in following the Lord Jesus.
I am very cautious of many church but respect them all - I know I would only attend a church that follows the direction of the Bible and ours really does
Anyone interested in listening to any of our sermons let me know and I will direct you to our website - I am sure you would be blessed are our pastors are highly recommended and you can tell that they love the Lord
1 -
Amen Marilyn, your Church sounds just like the Churches I attend when I lived back East and with the Church I attend here in BC! We have a Worship Team every Sunday, Worship Leader and 2 other Back up Ministry Gals and Guys who sing along with our Worship Leader and play instruments, we have acoustic guitars electric guitars, drums, Keyboard and Piano, we have a man who plays the trumpet and we had a man who played Bass but he passed away into the presence of the Lord. We have Regular Baptisms. Our Worship Team truly love the Lord as our Pastor does too. Our Services are Live
Stream every Sunday.
Susan, so wonderful you are on the Worship Team playing the Flute. I love a Church that worships God in Music Singing the Praises of God. So glad to hear Joe plays the harmonica and Pastors son plays guitar and Pastor’s wife plays piano and you on the flute. It’s good to Sing and play instruments and make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Have a wonderful Lords Day Susan.
Linda, I can understand it would be hard to play chords instead of playing the whole hymn. I am with you with gravitating to a warm area and your fireplace sounds so relaxing and keeping toasty warm. You speaking about Onions, I always loved them, Roasted whole onions and Roasted Onion Soup, just thinking of Onions makes my mouth water. Having a 50 pound bag of onions, I am sure you made a lot of recipes. Maybe you could post some on our Recipe Thread. It’s good you have the pest control come to do quarterly spraying for insects to keep on top so you don’t get any bugs back.it’s good you don’t see any bugs so it sounds like the quarterly spraying is working.
Barb, hope you get your Bible mailed to you soon. It will be so nice to have the Large Print. With your Pastor using the ESV Bible and your new Bible same translation it will be easier to follow along with the reading and as he Preaches the Message. Your Music Box sounds so wonderful with it playing I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas. So nice your Sister and Daughter play the flute. That’s great you paid for lessons for your kids and they all played an instrument. Both my kids played an instrument and learned music at School, son violin and drums and daughter guitar. Music practice at home was loud at times, 😁
Thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement. It’s bedtime for me now. I began this post at 11:50pm and now it’s 12:26am. See you all tomorrow! 🙏😇0 -
Judith, it's good to hear from you. I know ypu ate exhausted by your appointments and treatments so it is often hard to get your thoughts together. Your family sounds very musical, as does Barb's! My daughter learned flute, piano and guitar for awhile but acting and writing are more her fortes. She loves running and used to love acrobatic activity too, and dance. She knows a little about lots of skills. The two boys wouldn't learn music but enjoyed physical skills like bike riding, doi g jumps and tricks on their bikes.
Linda, it would be a little boring, just playing chords on piano. I agree, the Melody is important! Ukelele is all chords but the voice always has the Melody. With flute, you get only Melody. Lol!
Barb, glad your children learned music, too. I know you are happy your big print study Bible is coming. Glad the weather is better and the mail can come through!
Marilyn, praying about your kidney function.0 -
I got my Bible & spent hours breaking it in. It has so much extra things in it besides Concorde ce maps. Illustrations. Lots of info before each book. I guess that’s why it’s so thick. I have ladies Bible study tomorrow so I will use it.
It’s nice as I can read the notes as all in large print. I ordered a cover for CSB where I got the Bible. CSB Christian Book distributer.
We only have one service. I like it when we sing just hymns singing in parts & sometimes we have sung a cappella. Be like in heaven. So cool.
Marilyn praying for your kidney function.
Prayers for Judith & drs wisdom for you tomorrow. Plus energy for it all Judith.
So cool reading about all the church services. Just think how cool heaven will be and we all will have perfect pitch. I assume a lot of singing a capella.
Hope you have a great Tuesday Susan. How is the practicing going. You got your lines down? Prayers for all.
Stay warm all but Susan stay cool.
🙏🏻1 -
Susan, my family are all Musical, My children, Grandmothers both played piano, my Dad had is own Band during the War and when home he spent his life as a professional Musician, wrote music, created the Barbershop Quartet in Ontario, had parts on Broadway and was the Director of the metropolitan Toronto Police Association Male Chorus. He lead the Group and was presented a Plaque of recognition for leading the Group for 7 years. I have a picture and will post it here for you.
I took piano for a few years but stopped as I wanted to Sing and took Voice and trained under one of our Sisters of Loretto, Sister Ann, I was in the School choirs, Church Choirs Junior, Intermediate and Senior choirs, sang in Duets and in a Quartet. I was also on our Churches Worship Team. My Work injury damaged my Vocal chords and neck but Hallelujah I received a measure of healing and sang as a spare as my Voice wasn’t as strong as it once was before the accident but I thank God when I was called on to sing the Lord touched my voice and was able to sing 2nd Soprano and reach all the notes. I am praying for your Play, all the Parts you and Colin are in and the other members Susan.
Barb, I was on our Prayer Request Thread and commented on answers to prayer in receiving your new Bible, I rejoice with you and am so happy you are looking forward to using it at Ladies Bible Study. Like you Barb our Church now has one Morning Service, miss the night services we once had, we share our Church with a Korean church, Pastor Lee and his congregation have their service in the afternoon. The whole church is on fire for Jesus, their music is like ours. During the week they share the rooms in the church for Prayer Meetings and Bible Study. It’s awesome to see how our congregation and theirs all flow together in Worship and Praise being God’s Hands extended. We all shine for Jesus in our Community.
Marilyn. Continue to pray for your Play for Good Kidney Function and Numbers.
Linda continue to keep you in my prayers also. Thank you all for your prayers, you are such a blessing to me in which I thank God, 🙏😇
Barb, came back as I posted an Air Fryer Veggie Recipe for you… hope you enjoy it.1 -
Today my washing machine decided to take the day off. It would not do anything no mater what cycle I put it o. In the afternoon I remembered that someone said in our neighborhood group that they had problems with their washer and they unplugged
Marilyn how are you doing emotionally? I am praying for comfort for you in your losses. It is good to see you posting as you can. I am also praying for your kidney lab work.
Judith - the plaque for your father is very impressive. You do have a very talented and musical family. I am glad that you were able to regain your voice after your injury and be able to sing praises again.
Barb - I am so glad that you received our Bible. It sounds like it has a lot of interesting extra information.
Is it easier to use since it is large print?
Susan - Thanks for agreeing with me about playing the melody not just chords. The younger people are more comfortable with chords so I am among the older group.2 -
Linda, our Church is mostly older. We have a couple of younger people and families with children. We sing and the old hymns. Your table sounds very unique! If you ever take a picture, I would love to see it. Glad your washing machine was OK after a reboot. Whew!
Judith, what an amazing and talented man your father was. I loved reading about him and seeing his award. And you have had quite a musical career too! My dad once played cornet but never in my hearing. He gave it up in his 20s. My Mom always had a beautiful si ging voice and loved to dance, but bei g a wife and mother who moved somewhere else every 2 - 3 years (Dad was a gypsy who loved working in new mines - mercury, lead/zinc/copper, tin, coal, gold) so she never got to sing and dance with others but she instilled a love of music in us four kids. All of us sing and/or play instruments. I have done lots of amateur music and have taught flute. I've been in lots of bands, orchestras and ensembles over the years. I can't imagine life without playing something and singing, but the Lord gives and the Lord takes. All voices seem to roughen or crack with age, fingers and wrists get arthritic, etc. I just do the best with what I have!
Barb, what are you planning to cook with your new air fryer? We do chops, sausages (pierce the skin) , vegetables, cheese puffs (frozen ones in a box!) and tried bacon but didn't like it. I'm sure there's more you can do. Marinated chicken wings is good in it. Your new Bible sounds very useful and packed full of information that sounds like it is bringing the Bible to life for you again. 😀 Yes, I have my lines for the play down! It's more like improvisation so we all say different things each time, just get our main points across! It's funny and fun.
I updated the prayer thread. Colin is a little bit of a worry right now though today he is doing a bit better. He sees the Dr tomorrow thank the Lord.1 -
Judith
Thank you for the recipe. I will have to try it. I need to get a few ingredients to make it. I will be watching Mariposa the next 2 mornings, as Amy is now in NYC Chinatown, visiting her sister Kim. She will go back to Hong Kong from NYC.I’m don’t know when.
Prayers as you had a busy day today. Prayers for your strength & and wisdom for drs too.
Thank you for sharing a picture of the plaque your Dad earned. So cool!!
Marilyn prayers for your kidneys & wisdom for drs too.
Linda. So glad your washing machine worked. What a relief. God is good,in having you remember to reboot it.
The side table sounds neat. 😄
Susan. Prayers as you memorize. I am sure it can be challenging at times.
This past Sunday when we sang it was hymns. It was neat as we sang in parts. The praise numbers that are so modern do NOT have parts. Maybe just cords like Susan mentioned. Some call the modern praise songs 7/11 as they repeat & repeat.
In heaven we will have perfect pitch & sing in parts. It will be so neat.
So, it’s nice to, sing in parts on earth. Harry sings base and the guy John who sang it was very good.
So I guess the young ones like you mentioned Susan sing with cords as using the guitar. Crazy.
A bit cold then Thursday & Friday warm above freezing and in the 40’s so maybe more snow will me
Then we get the cold. Brr.
Stay warm
Susan hope your asthma is doing ok. Prayers.0 -
PS.
I can read my older Bible. I just got a new one as with my student study ESV, I have a hard time reading the study notes. I enjoy reading the study notes on the passages I read or when listening to a sermon. So since I have AVF, or adult Vitelliform dystrophy, I’m not getting younger so with that reason I got the large print. So I can enjoy reading my Bible as I age.
Most of the books I read are regular print.1 -
Nice coming and reading all the messages - praying for all of you.
Today I was back to TOPS - l had a small gain of 0.1 of a pound. Thought that was sort of funny as the weight recorder said 'you should have gone to the bathroom before weighin in' But am going to do better next week.
We are waiting for the furnace repair lady - she was out 2 weeks ago and fixed a part costing us $348 - now the furnace is making a lot of noise so she was out on Monday - somepart of the motor is going and they need to order the part - praying it will be here tomorrow and the noise the furnace makes is very annoying - and of course there is the cost -$1314 for the part plus labor and taxes. Don't like the stress of things breaking down
Have had to sit today with a heavy sweater on, a quilt over me and the heating pad between me and the quilt - don't like getting this feeling so cold - something to do with being anemic they tell me.
Anyway time to take meds, also my weekly hormone shot and then will relax for the rest of the evening.
0 -
Susan - I am praying for Colin and his heart and diabetes issues. Those are certainly very serious issues for you as a spouse to watch.
Marilyn - Wow your furnace repairs are really expensive! You do need to have it fixed especially since you feel very cold all the time but it is hard to pay so much. We have our dishwasher repaired on Friday. They will also be looking at my washer that is not working correctly. I am not at peace about what all of this will cost us. The parts are not as expensive as the labor costs sometimes.
Judith - praying for all your appointments especially the ones that have pain involved.
Barb - We are having cold mornings and on Monday we will be under freezing all day. It is a high of 28 degrees and low of 5 degrees. I am excited about you learning new recipes in your air fryer. I like to try new things and fortunately my husband is willing to be the guinea pig to try new things. There are some things that we agree we will not eat again but at least we tried.
We have been having problems with our phones so today we went to the phone store to get them fixed. We ended up buying new phones and got new tablets along with the deal. Now we need to try to understand the new phones. I am used to having a manual to tell me step by step but lately I notice the young people do not need that but intuitively know what to do so they do not need a step by step manual. We will probably make lots of mistakes learning this new phone1 -
I have had a long day worked on all threads but have ran out of steam so will come back and reply to all your posts I read!
It’s midnight now and heading to bed.Just want you to know I read all your posts and will reply to each one later today. You are all held close to my heart in Love and in Prayer! ❤️🙏🤗0 -
Prayers for Judith & all her procedures. Praying you still sleeping after such a busy day yesterday plus prayers for wisdom & pain involved.
Marilyn. Wow on the furnace & proses. Praying you can get it fixed, not make lots of noise & keep all warm. 🙏🙏
Prayers for peace & knowing the right direction to take from God.
Linda. Prayers with your new phone & tablets.
Harry doesn’t like new things & so it maybe a slow process. I enjoy fish so Im anxious to try that with the air fryer.
I wish the flyer that came with the appliance had more recipes. Really what they gave me there is nothing that I will try. All in God’s time.1 -
Barb maybe look online for air fryer recipes with fish? I hardly use my recipe books anymore as Google has it all! Lol! Maybe crisp fried fish could be a winner. It's good you have a Bible with study notes big enough to read now. Enjoy!
Judith, thank you for letting us know you got home safely and are sleeping after your difficult appointments. I hope you feel alright when you wake. Be gentle on yourself.
Linda, Colin has a Dr appointment this morning and seems to feel better today. Thank you so much for praying. I hope ypu can get used to your new phones and tablets soon. It's always a time of adjustment!
Marilyn, good to hear how you are doing but man, it sounds so cold. I hope your furnace isn't too costly to fix. You reminded me of Weight Watcher days! They used to have everyone do a bathroom break before
weighing in! Lol!
Yesterday's rehearsal went well for a first vomplete run through. Today I am volunteering at the Clubhouse to help with a Hamburger night fund-raiser we are running this Saturday night. We've sold over 200 tickets for burgers. Colin will volunteer too.
1 -
Susan. How did Colin’s Dr appointment go today? Prayers for your rehearsals and all too.
Have fun with the fundraiser on Saturday night. I will probably look up, air fryer recipe's. You are so right on Google. I always say google knows it all.
Linda. Praying as you & Glen get use to your new phones & tablets.
Judith. Praying for you healing & pain that you may have had after all your procedures.
Praying for your strength too.
Marilyn. Prayers your furnace stays working & warmer temps.
Well James, family in Branson, is hoping to, come up Friday, as they get off school one hour early on Fridays. They like to, meet Annabella.
I found my hand warmers that our daughter gave me a few years ago. I heat them up in the microwave. So warm hands as I walk. Nice.
This weekend and Monday it’ll to be 🥶. I believe Sunday’s high is only 16*. I’ve also seen 14*. Either way it’s an arctic wave. Fun.
I had a nice time with Mariposa today. Annabella has acid reflex that new Boris can get. So her esophagus hasn’t grown all the way. So she spots up and cries as she is in pain. Pray it grows and she can eat without spitting up, so much. So this is why mornings are rough and HH appreciates the help. It’s to be warm tomorrow so I hope to walk a bit with Mariposa. She doesn’t have boots so I may use plastic bags around her sneakers & put rubber-bands to keep the plastic bags over her shoes. Yes we still have snow. It’s melting but with so many who did not shovel it is icy and still deep in places.
Stay well all.

Willow.
What have you made with your air fryer? Have you cooked fish on it at all? We went out today for our anniversary tonight & I ordered a lot of fish so I got 2 more meals of scallops, shrimp, clam strips & flounder. So much food so 3 meals. Oh was it good!
Thank you Willow.1 -
Happy Anniversary Barb and Harry and God’s Blessings! So glad you are enjoying your new Bible. Glad you liked the air fryer recipe I posted. I found the recipe on line. I agree with Susan as you can find so many recipes by using Google, so many you can find online.
Barb this is my prayer for Annabella,
I lift up Annabella and pray for complete healing, for a Peace and Calmness to flow over her and pray the esophagus will develop and function like it is supposed to do, In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.
Marilyn, I am with you as our temps are so cold, today 3 degrees Fahrenheit and minus 2 degrees Fahrenheit tonight brrr 🥶 so icy cold. I am praying for you that you get your furnace fixed quickly my friend. Please stay safe and warm as you can.
Linda, praying you get your new iPhones and Tablets up and running. It is hard getting accustomed to new devices. I agree it’s much easier to have a Manuel to follow, it seems the younger set just figure it out and know what to do.
Susan. Hope your weather cools down some. So glad to hear Colin has a Doctor’s appointment and today he is feeling better. I did sleep good last night and today I was gentle on myself.
I appreciate everyone’s prayers and all your words of encouragement and kindness. You all
are a blessing in which I thank God. God Bless you all! See you tomorrow! 🙏📖🤗0 -
Susan - It sounds like the doctor is being very careful with Colin until he can see the cardiologist. It must be hard for him to be so sedentary. I am praying for him as well as you as you take him to appointments. The fund raiser this weekend sounds fun. I hope Colin is careful and he does not overdo things.
Barb - I am sorry that you are having so much cold weather. I am praying for Annabelle's acid reflux. That sounds so hard to deal with for both Hong Hong and the baby. I'm glad that you had a good anniversary. It is great that you were able to bring food back so you do not have to cook for a few meals. You are very inventive to think about putting sacks on Mariposa's shoes to go outside. My M-I-L did that in the winter. I had never seen someone do that before I saw her do it.
Judith - I am glad that you were gentle on yourself and got a good sleep. That is so important. I got up early this morning but was so tired I went back to bed. Having the extra hour of sleep was very nice. I felt so much better.
Marilyn - I hope you get your furnace to be quieter. It is good to have heat but if it comes with a lot of noise that is not good!
We are still working on getting used to our phones. Glenn gave up on working on the tablet and went to bed a few minutes ago. It seems that just when we understand, there are new things that start to happen. After I had everything set last night, my screen was different this morning. They told us it takes a little while for the new phone to organize what it downloaded from the old phone. I guess it has a problem to get used to new things also. 😀2 -
Susan
When can Colin see the cardiologist? Prayers. You don’t have to wait to long. I see one once a year.
Praying for your play & your asthma.
Judith have you recovered from all your procedures that you had.
Marilyn. I hope it’s gotten warmer & your furnace guiltier. Prayers.
Linda
Hope you are learning about your new advices. Did you get new covers or cases for them?
We will have 2 days of above normal temps then the Arctic temps come Saturday - Monday. Sunday & Monday only Hugh’s in the teens. With snow on ground it will be very cold.
So today with the warmer temps I hope to walk some with Mariposa. She has or been out much. Hopefully more snow melts too.
Annabella just has to grow. They say her condition is due to her being a premie. To me when you weigh over 6 lbs you are NOT a preemie. She is short in gastrointestinal weeks. Maybe that is why?
James and family will come up Friday so a busy weekend but fun too.
Have a good day. It is Friday eve!!1 -
Colin spent last night in the hospital. He asked for an ambulance about 9pm. They did an ECG and it wasn't normal so they took him to hospital.
I'll update when I can. I'm getting ready to go up there to see him now.1 -
Susan please keep us posted/updated.
We are also praying for both of you.2 -
Susan - it sounds like you have had a very busy time with Colin being in the hospital. I am glad he was able to come home. I hope that he can be seen by his doctor soon as a follow up. I pray for endurance, strength and wisdom as you care for him. Take time to care for yourself also.
Barb - I am praying for Anabella for growth in her esophagus. Preemies do have a harder time in the beginning but do catch up later. I had a preemie also that caught up with her peers and is doing fine at 47 years old. Yes we did get covers for the phones. Just when I thought that I had things all organized, it changes again. I guess it is part of what the phone people said that it takes a while for everything to download from the old phone. Enjoy the "warmer" weather while you can. 😀 You said that you were expecting Artic weather again.
Judith - praying for you also.
I had therapy this morning. She said I have 4 more days of treatment scheduled and feels I am about ready to be discharged. There is only one more task I need to be able to do which is going up and down stairs. I am pretty good in the area but just a little more exercise is needed.1
