Judith. I also hope you are resting. She. You can I’m sure you will give us update. In the meantime you know we are praying for you
Linda gals you made it to Denver before the snow. Sorry for the crisis when you got home.
Hopefully all had worked out & you had a good day.
Susan. Enjoy your clock how long did it take to get you you?
So nice of your cousin to mail it to you.
Me y week we may have highs of 8* 12* and lows in minus. By Friday we get above freezing, 32* F.
So much fun. Our poor heat bill.
Sounds like we will break all kind of records sent back many years ago. Plus some snow too.
Well stay warm. All but Susan. Cooler temps we pray for you?
Want any snow? Wish I could mail some.
We went out to eat & I had trout it was very good.
I see the retinal Dr after the funeral for my prayer partners husband. So busy morning for me. I will have my eyes dilated so Harry will take me.
Have a great weekend.
Happy ♥️ day.

Thank you all for your prayers, I came back tonight and it has been wonderful to be here reading your posts.
It’s been a rough 2 days, Thursday the most challenging. Today some better but I knew I couldn’t be on here until now. It’s late so heading to bed now. Will reply to pictures and heirloom pictures tomorrow.
I won’t know any news from Pathology until 2 weeks. I am back to the Surgeon in 2 weeks. Good thing the sutures are self dissolving! So glad about that.
Will say Good Nite and God Bless 😴♥️🙏1 -
Praying Judith
So glad the sutures dissolve too.
About how many days got them to dissolve?. Prayers not too tight or painful.1 -
Judith, it's good to hear from you and I am sorry the last few days have been so hard. Please rest. We'll keep praying. Gentle Hugs.
Barb, yes, my cousin is a sweetheart. It took about 2 weeks for the clock to get here. It had to ho through customs who opened it. Fortunately nothing was missing and they repacked it OK. I hope your eye tests go well. Yes, cooler weather is coming but not for another month or so. Lol about sending me some snow! I don't think it would survive two weeks in a Thermos!
Linda, glad you got to Denver safely. Enjoy your stay.
I am getting ready for church now.2 -
It was 27F this morning when I went to the Valentine party we had for our zoom Bible study group. Since several of us do not live in Denver all the time, when all of us are in Denver we try to get together at least quarterly. It really was foggy as I drove and the fog caused droplets of water to freeze on my windshield. We have a good heater and defroster in the 4-Runner so it did melt it fairly quickly but it was really hard to see the street lights in the areas outside of town. Sometimes I would see the red brake lights of the car ahead of me before I saw the traffic light so I watched very closely as I drove. We ate lunch and opened presents (we did not do Christmas so this took place of that) and as I was watching out the window I saw that it had started snowing. They were huge flakes at first then small flakes that were pretty steady. When I left the house, there was over an inch of snow on the sidewalk and the streets were slippery in the area round her home. I do not like to drive in snow at all so I had some anxious moments as I drove home. As got closer to our house, it was snowing less so the roads were just slushy but not slippery. That is why we like Grand Junction - we get really cold weather but with the humidity so low most of the time, we do not get snow.
Judith - it was good to see you on the threads today. It will be interesting to see if the biopsy shows that this is the same rare cancer you have on your lower part of the face or if it is a reoccurrence of the melanoma. Either way I pray that they will find the proper treatment for it.
Barb - We will be getting the cold temperatures starting on Monday. Was going out to eat for Valentine's day? We decided that there would be a lot of people eating out on Valentines day so we are waiting until next week to go out. We did give cards to each other but have more to look forward to.
Susan - I hope you are having a good day worshiping at church. Prayers continue for you and Colin.1 -
Susan. Prayers you got well fed with your services today. Do you have SS, Sunday school or core classes before the morning service? Do you have evening services? Some churches have the evening services but since Covid a lot of churches only have one service. Sad I think.
Linda.
Your celebration sounds neat. So glad you could do it & see all your lady friends.
Well we are dropping temps now. 18* is the high tomorrow & thats the warmest temp of the week. I think Friday on the temps are better.
Minus temps for the low & single temps for the highs. 2 chances of snow too. Our current snow is melting I can see some grass. Guess that is short lived. Oh well. I know God is in control & spring is coming.
Judith. Prayers for you & healing too. Plus wisdom knowing how to treat you and what you have.
Thank you for all you do too.
Sleep well u on western hemisphere. Enjoy the Lords day Susan.
All stay safe.1 -
Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support. You all are so kind.
Barb and Susan, Thanks for sharing and posting the pictures of the beautiful Clocks. Beautiful Heirlooms to treasure. I am sure you both are so proud to have them and to display them in your homes.
Linda, glad you enjoyed the Valentines celebration and be with your friends. Sounds like you are enjoying your Bible Study! 📖
Prayers for you all. God Bless you all. I posted an update about my face and how long it takes to get Pathology report back. I hope they can figure what rare disease it is and most of all find an effective treatment for me.
Have a Blessed Lord’s Day!Lord willing be back with you all tomorrow. Good Night & God Bless 😴🙏🤗0 -
Today is such a beautiful day. The sky is blue with a haze of clouds, the roads are all clear of snow and the snow on the grass is beginning to melt. Our vice president of the college who will replace Glenn as president in 1-2 years spoke to the church today. He was talking about how we can "know" things about God but now really "know" him in a relationship way. Are we aware of what plans he has for us to do and how much he loves us? One thing that stood out to me was when Jesus said we should be "perfect" as he was perfect, he was not asking us to never make a mistake. That is impossible for us as humans to do. The word for perfect in the Greek is "mature" which is something to reach toward. We are all growing at out own pace but we are still sinful. As we mature, we can become more like God in thoughts, actions, and motives. In heaven we will attain the maturity we need. This helps me as a perfectionist to know that it is OK to not be perfect in this world although we need to strive to be our best, we grow and mature as we get closer to God and see what his character is and imitate this.
I hope you are having a good weekend to rest and refresh for the new week - which Susan is just ending. Praying for all of you and your needs. Love to all!0 -
Good morning from the Diabetes Clinic. We just left the Physio. We need to go to the shops too. Colin needs a different phone to take the software for his hearing aids and insulin pump.
We're just having an early lunch then he has a haircut. Then we'll phone shop.
Linda, I loved your description of your nice day and also of the study you all did. It's a good reminder that perfection means spiritual maturity.
Judith, thank you for posting. We are all praying for you and hoping this medical procedure will shine a light for the way forward. Yes, the clock is special to me for sure. My cousin has some audio files of interviews done with different relatives that he is slowly sending to me. It is wonderful to hear their voices again! Many have passed away, in fact all voices so far have been from those who are no longer with us. This is the cousin who lives in Diamond Bar with his wife, but they ate going to relocate to Washington State in March. I guess he is finding all these things he believes I should have so they don't have to find room for them in their new house.
Barb, we had a lovely Lord's Day with two more bring added to the list for Baptism in March. Our Pastor spoke about what to do when we are overwhelmed, like King David often was (Ps 61). The answer is always to pray, to go to the Rock of Christ Who can overcome our overwhelm! We have a morning sermon service with a separate table for Sunday School children, an evening service with a Bible study, and a Thursday night YouTube Bible Study. Once a month we have a church luncheon after morning service. Once a month we ladies also get together for lunch while the men do the same. About where my Grandmother lived, it would have been back in the early 1900s to the 1920s. I only know she was born in Kansas for sure but they mention Koontz a lot in the oral histories?
Thinking of you all!0 -
It’s late & I’m sorry but this won’t be long. I’m trying to figure outline row I the knitting jacket I’m making for a grand daughter. It’s the 2nd one I will have made. I have done this one row 4 times or more.
I can’t figure it out so I will sleep on it. I hope that helps me.
Hope all had a good day.
We will have some snow tomorrow light we have the funeral and then got to the Retinal specialist who will dilate my eyes.
Tuesday we get dropping temps into, very Arctic temps. So we will have minus numbers for lows & single numbers as high. Plus snow all day Tuesday. So probably no Bible study.
Wednesday & Thursday I hope to, watching 🦋. But very cold. The temps will be dangerous. We have no garage so I hope with a full tank & HEET my car starts and roads plowed with the snow. By Saturday we hot 28*. That will feel good. Finally by next Sunday over freezing.
Susan. Your luncheon sounds neat. I don’t know much about Kansas being from Pennsylvania.
Linda. That’s neat that Glenn spoke today sounds like he was very good. Thank you for sharing.
Judith praying for you. It’s getting late for me and I got a full morning with funeral and eye doctor.
So good night fro Kansas.1 -
Good Morning All
I logged on at 11:15pm and worked on my threads, few issues with MFP timing out so I am finishing my Chat Post on Monday early morning: 12:15AM
But unfortunately I will have to say Good Night and reply to your posts later this morning. My apologies. Just too sore and tired. 😴
Love you all! ♥️🤗🙏

Judith. Sorry for the issues. Sometimes I have had them too. Plus I believe Linda has mentioned the, & maybe Susan. Fun with MFP.
Prayers for you.
I hear you may get rain stay safe up there.
Well we woke up, to some light snow & it’s to snow all day Tuesday & our high is a warm 6*F, 🥶 -14.4*C. Very cold. Not sure how I’ll get our stone driveway clear of snow. Oh well.
I believe I figured out the knitting on the jacket. Some of it as I’m knitting the left side which when I hold it it’s on the right side so kind of confuses one brain or thinking. I’ll try it later tonight. So sleep on it always helps.
Stay safe warm here
Susan prayers for you with the humidity. Wish we had some. My nose is getting crusties all the time & nasal spray is not helping it. At least it’s short lived. So I’m adding menthol that seems to help. Off to, a funeral soon & eye specialist.

Good morning, friends. I'm tired this morning. We were up late talking to the 24hr hotline for help with Colin's insulin pump. Looks like he got a faulty batch of sensor inserts that wouldn't go to work once inserted. I had to use three of the things to prove they were faulty before we got one that would send blood sugar data to Colin's pump. Poor guy. Anyway, all was well in the end and we could sleep, confident that the.pump was working correctly.
The other appointments went pretty well. The Physio did help with stripping away some of the fluid build up. The Diabetes Educator was helpful with information (Colin's pump didn't malfunction till the evening).
We spent the rest of the day getting him a new phone that can cope with the software he needs for his pump and for his hearing. The guys we bought the new phone from switched his data over for a fee, but with difficulty as Colin's password wouldn't work. As the old phone would die, Colin needed to switch it back on via facial recognition. We got there in the end. It's sure a process these days, with so many things. I needed to be with him to help remember stuff (I knew his password for the phone but it wouldn't unlock for me either till we got back home! Argh!)
We have the Cardiologist appointment this morning so I must dash. We're packing a bag for Colin in case he gets admitted for more invasive tests. I'll come back with more news later perhaps, or it might have to wait till tomorrow. I am thinking of you all.1 -
We are getting colder weather now with the low expected tonight of 5F.We have had snow showers but no accumulation. The humidity is 95% so we are higher than Susan today. The humidity makes things feel much colder so we have not been outside much today. It has been quiet here with the holiday. We forgot and tried to go to the post office to get stamps but realized that they were closed for President's day. Our granddaughter slept in until almost noon and is still in her pajamas watching TV. She will have to get used to getting up early tomorrow when she has to go to school. She has had Thursday and Friday off also for teacher conferences.
Susan - I am glad that you were able to get Colin's insulin pump to finally work after being up a long time. I am praying for his cardiology appointment today. It is good to be prepared to have him stay at the hospital but I hope he can come home. I agree that phones can be a big problem when they do not accept passwords or work with Bluetooth things. Since we got new phones mine has been OK but Glenn's is getting duplicate texts from people and the Wi-fi was not working. He took it to the phone store and they said that there was a problem with the phone manufacturer and were able to fix it. I am glad that there are specialists that know how to fix things or give us important insight into our health and equipment.
Barb - I am glad that you figured out the knitting problem. Perspective is important when doing right and lift sides. I am glad that you did not have a lot of snow. I hope that your vehicle runs with the cold weather and no garage to put it in. Our friend had a heater he put in the engine that he plugged inside the house to warm his car since it was also outside in the cold. I am not sure how it worked but it did help warm the engine. Take care of yourself especially when you are going outside to go watch Mariposa. Yes I get frustrated with MFP loosing my information. Yesterday and today it just quits and the whole site disappears. Maybe it is the weather bothering some electrical "stuff". As you can see I do not know what I am talking about. LOL
Judith - I hope you are getting over being sore and tired. Getting good rest is so important. Does the soreness bother your sleep? Thanks for getting Susan and I back on track on the threads. I try to work around when I think someone will be on here but obviously I did not time my response correctly. It is hard when we are on different time zones.
I need to go take care of my crockpot Pepper Steak that is cooking. I need to do last minute seasoning and thickening before everyone is ready to eat. It smells really good as I am typing here.1 -
Hope all had a great Monday or Tuesday.
It was cold & snowy to only be get more snow all day tomorrow and temps to break records in the lows. I heard we have the coldest air over us. Nice.
By Sunday we will be above freezing but 5 days before then. Oh well.
I won’t be going out to, walk with Mariposa. I hope I can get there Wednesday & Thursday. Thursday will be the coldest emerging. Hopefully with running my car some it will start each day.
So glad my eye vision has not changed. I will see my eye Dr in august. So every 6 months I see an eye Dr. so that is good.
The funeral was good and our pastor, Seth, presented the gospel very well praying maybe someone got saved?
Stay well all
Oh with this dry cold air my nose at night gets crusties in it. A pain.
Take care all.1 -
Susan so happy you got a new phone that works with new soft ware and can now help with regulating the insulin pump. Praying your appointment with the Cardiologist goes well and you get answers. Praying for wisdom for the Doctor. Safe travels to your appointment Susan and Colin.
Barb, so glad you are getting the knitting on track. Yes sleeping on things sometimes works and in this case it appears to have helped. So sorry for all the freezing temps and snow. Hope none of the forecasts of more snow or colder temps come about. Yes we are to get rain at least that’s the forecast. Good news at least we are warming up!
Linda, your Pepper Steak sounds so yummy, I almost can smell it and even dream of what steak tasted like. One day it will happen. Yes you are welcome in helping with the threads, it is tricky when we all post on different time zones. Hard to keep on track at times.
Have a good night sleep all. Be back tomorrow! 🙏😴🤗0 -
Prayers the new phone & working with your ibsulin pump. So eat what technology & apps can do.
Prayers for cardiologist & wisdom.
So I got a cough, but feel ok. I will be taking expectorant meds& use my inhaler.
The funeral was great. Clear message of salvation & we sang lots of hymns. It was so nice.
Linda. How did the pepper steak turn out?. It did sound good. I’m sure it was yummy.
Judith. So glad you kept the one ounce. Praying you gain another.
Have a good Tuesday all.
🙏
Willow. It was good to read you prayer. Always nice to hear from you.
Have a good day.
Stay well all.

Good morning everyone. It's Wednesday here and a bit overcast. It feels a little less hot but time will tell.
Yes, Colin is enjoying his new phone and his insulin pump is working well now. I'll update about the Cardiologist in the prayer thread.
Barb, I hope your cough goes away soon. Funerals are great places to preach the gospel for sure. Sorry you had a funeral to go to though.
Judith, I hope you are hetting more comfortable after your procedure. It's early days though.
Linda, the pepper steak sounded so yummy. I hope you enjoyed it. Yes, Colin is still moving in to his new phone but he seems to like it. Thankful for helpers too!
I'm cutting card kits for tomorrow's class. It's all butterfly cards this time.
1 -
Susan. Love your butterflies. There is a butterfly poem for one who loses one. Like when see a butterfly thinker the loved one who goes up to sky heaven. Kind of neat many poems to choose.
Trust all having a good day n1 -
When I got up this morning, snow was sitting on the branches of the trees around our house and was so gorgeous. They looked like the silver Christmas trees that sparkle with the light. It fell off during the day as it warmed up to 17F. The temp right now is 2F. I did not walk to the doctor's office since it was so cold. My lab work was mostly normal except for my liver numbers. He is not sure what is wrong but I started taking a new supplement that supports steady blood sugars but he thinks that it may not to be good for my liver. I am to stop taking it for two weeks then have blood drawn again. If that does not help, he wants me to stop my cholesterol medication for two weeks and have lab work done again. If that does not help, he will order an ultrasound to see if there are issues with my liver like fatty liver. It will be a waiting game to see what works.
Barb - I pray that you will be able to keep warm in spite of the cold frigid weather and that your car will start when needed. I hope you have a good heater in it also. I am glad that your pastor, Seth, was able to present the gospel during the funeral. People are sometimes vulnerable during this time and Jesus can touch their hearts when they realize that life is fragile and their time could come soon. Good news that your eyes are stable. Our sight is so important to keep healthy. The pepper steak was good but I missed the onions that I usually put in it. My daughter can not have onions or garlic so when I cook here in Denver, the food is lacking in taste in my opinion. Sometimes I cook onions by themselves and add it to just our plates to get that good onion taste.
Susan - the cards are beautiful as usual. Thanks for the update from the cardiologist. I pray that the angiogram will be scheduled as soon as possible. Maybe there will be a cancellation and he can get in sooner. I loved your picture on Facebook with your lovely jewelry. Is there a website to order the jewelry? It looks so versatile in that you can change the looks easily.
Judith - I am glad that your weather is getting warmer and you are only getting rain. We are getting snow showers during the day but I think it is supposed to be clear tomorrow.
1 -
Linda, praying things will settle down and the next blood work will show normal results for your liver. Trusting for complete healing. Hope you don’t get too much more snow, however I agree fresh fallen snow on the trees looks so pretty. But it would be nice for warmer weather. Glad the temps warmed during the day but having 2 F temps now as you said is cold. Gives me shivers! So glad your pepper steak turned out. I agree, when I made mine garlic and onions sure boost the flavor of the steak. Yum Yum 😋
Barb, so glad your Pastor was able to bring a good Salvation message to the people at the funeral. Pray it touched those who were present that did not know Jesus. You are sure having some cold weather, stay warm and safe Barb, hope you don’t get too much more snow. I rejoice your eyes were found to be stable. Praise God! So sorry you have a Cold but hope your inhaler and cold meds help. Praying for you.
Susan, I join my prayers with JC, I read updates on prayer thread. Praying for continued wisdom for Colin’s Doctors. Also praying he will get in soon for the angiogram and for his healing. So glad his new Phone is working so the insulin pump does it’s work.Your card kits you were cutting out for your card class are so beautiful. I love Butterfly’s. I am sure the ladies will love making the cards. I see in the weather thread your temps are starting to cool down, that’s great!
Will say Good Nite All, Be back tomorrow. Have a good rest. Will continue to pray for Marilyn and all the Team. God Bless…🙏🤗0 -
Good morning here and afternoon evening for Susan.
I might not have a cold but I'll continue taking the expectorant meds today & the inhaler. I did cough some as soon as i woke up but not bad. Might just be the dryness? I don't have any other symptoms of a cold and that is unusual when I have a cold.
So we broke a record of the high yesterday of 4* F, the old one set back in 1939 I think, was 11*F. We will break the low of today and high plus on Thursday. Friday morning will be in the minus but we get into the 20's as a high. I'm sure that will feel good.
Roads here are awful! The salt won't work in these temps and lots of roads not really plowed so all snow packed.
I have HEET, a antifreeze for my gas. in my gas line in my car. I'll run my car again but plan on not going any were. I hope Hong Hong can do ok with her 2 girls. I hear that Annabella is smiling more and maybe sleeping more. So that should help.
Linda I will be praqying for your liver. Can you help it with more fish, beans, coffeee, or green tea? Eating more of the Mediterranean diet maybe? Prayers.
Susan Praying that Colin gets that test sceduled asap or sooner than they told you. We believe in a God who can do that easily too. Praying.
Judith prayign for you and the rest of the team.
Have a safe and wonderful HUMP day all!! Or Friday eve for you Susan.
