Good. Morning all ok here but NW of us in the tv viewing area has a tornado. The storm is big & traveling NE. So I asssume as the day goes by more people will be affected. The storm hit us around 4/20 & it was loud!
Just wanted to give an update. Have a good day all. I’ll write more later. Hoping to see Jean, Blake & Evan this morning. So I got to go.0 -
Colin is still not feeling well but we didn't go to the hospital. The air conditioner and some rest helped him but he is still being affected by his symptoms. We'll go if he gets worse. He does tend to feel better then use up his energy and crash. It's a cycle with him.
I have a card class today and must get ready.

Susan. Prayers for you and Colin. In knowing if you need to go to,the hospital or not. Also I hope your card class went well.
Will your humidity come down with it being fall? Many prayers.Susan. I hope your card class can get your sewing machine fixed. Also that your blood, work will be ok. I am on cholesterol medicine. Only 10 mg.
Hope you and Glenn are having a good day.Judith. I hope you had a good day. Hoping that the raw and tissues are going back to normal soon for you plus less pain too. Many prayers.
Harry and I had a good morning with Jeans 2 boys, Blake 4.5 & Evan 2. We went to their story time and playground, which was a little wet but fun. Then we are at Culver’s.
Jean is now 37 weeks, and the baby is breach. Please pray he turns. She is planning on having a midwife at home delivery. We will watch the boys so pray that works well too she’s always gone early. Who knows maybe she sees her 40 week this time? Her due date is 4/19, day before Easter. Some pics from this morning. Stay safe all.

Am doing a little better but things are not good.
Was to see the kidney doctor last Thursday and he said to be prepared to having diaylsis in the next 2 months as blood workwas going the wrong way. I now have to have blood work every 2 weeks - had it done today so will get some information tomorrow
My older sister (she will be 87 in May) lost her husband back in November - they were married 64 years and new each other for 68 years - and she has been devastated without him. She has been sick now for a couple of years and with his death she has gotten worse- she keeps saying she is ready to die. Yesterday she had 2 bowel movements which produced a large amount of blood - her kids wanted her to go to the hospital but she said no that if she is dying she wanted to do it in her own bed. Well she bleed again this morning and has now been taken to the hospital by ambulance -she will be in the pallitive care unit - we just have to wait it out now. She has given up, says she is ready for death as she is tired of being so sick. Tomorrow would be my dad's birthday (he would be 113) and we are praying that she wont pass on that date as it is so hard having both on - just got a call from my other sister and an update is Joanne is at the hospital waiting for a blood test and then then they are talking of taking her home as Joanne does not want to pass away in the hospital. Have to wait to see if they actually send her home. Would appreciate lots of prayers as this is a very difficult time. My sister that is keeping informed lives alone and is so concerned with my health and now this. The Lord is in control but it is so hard to see this happen.

It was a cold 22F (-5.5C) this morning. We had a high of 48F (8.8C). The wind was not as strong as yesterday so it was a better day. We went to get our income tax done today and discovered we have to pay the federal government over $6000. We made some changes in our investments which made a difference from past years. We usually get money back but not this year. Next year we may do things differently. We do get some money back from the state though.
Susan - I am praying that Colin feels better soon. I think that Colin is like a lot of us that we feel better then overdo and have to rest. I see Glenn doing this every day. His eye feels better then he does a lot of e-mails and reading then he has to rest and not read for a while. In case I have not said this, he has macular degeneration in one eye. His other eye is good but is weaker and gets tired easily.
Barb - It looks like you and Harry had a wonderful time with the boys. I am sorry that Jean's baby is breach. There is still time to have it change which I pray that it does. Watching the boys as she has the baby could be quite an adventure. It will help that there are two of them together. They might not miss their parents as much. Have they stayed with you alone before?
Judith - praying your skin is healing.

Hello Everyone,
Sorry there has been a lot going on today. I haven’t been able to post until now. Please accept my humble apologies. Appreciate your prayers these past few days. My lower face has caused a lot of issues. Raw and sore. The bleeding has stopped for most part but it bleeds when I touch the area for cleaning and applying the treatment. It’s a small area that bleeds so thankful the area is improving in most of areas. Will come back tomorrow and reply to all of your posts!
Good Night and God Bless 😴🙏🤗😇

Judith I hope rest will help with your recovery. Praying for healing and peace.
Linda, yes. Colin and Glenn were probably cut from the same cloth. I didn't know about his Macular degeneration. That would be hard on someone who likes to study and read. Our husbands differ in that Colin is all about hands on work. He is not a reader or studier. I do that for us. I hope you get the results from your liver tests soon.
Marilyn, I am so, so sorry about oth your worsening kidneys and about your sister. It is a lot if stress for you and your family. Of course I will pray gor you. May the Lord send you all comfort and strength. He will never let you go, no matter what. For eternity.
Barb, praying about the birth of your new grand child. The 19th isn't far off but there is time for the breach position to come right. Praying for your daughter's safety too. I loved the pictures of you and your grandsons playing in the park.
Card class yesterday was fun. Colin got some rest while we crafted in the main room. He seems to have a little more energy today which of course he is using up. Our cards from yesterday:
They are the same design as I have shown you before, but everyone puts a slightly different spin on their cards.

Wow what a day. Jean’s water broke this morning at 2 AM. She, Jean wants the baby to come at home. Midwife came today at 5 Am. Baby is not breech. So PT L on that. Jean is not having contractions. We have had the boys & have all day. Harry is at work so I have them. They are asleep right now. Pray all goes well they will be up at 6:30. So midwife came this evening early & told Jean to rest as it may be a long night morning. So it’s been a busy day. Tomorrow our SS class is seeing the last supper carvings that this man made, They are life size. We hope to,all go. So very busy day for me.
the tornadoes you hear about is all from the storm we had yesterday morning. More rain to come. Tomorrow morning. Fun.Praying Marilyn for you & your sister. Such a big burden prayers she can sleep, wisdom for drs plus being on Pallitive care. That is our hospice here. My mom was a hospice nurse. Many prayers. Sorry for you as hard too.
Linda. We will be having the cold in near future, so I made sure we got some winter coats for the boys too. Praying for you.
So sorry that you owe so much on taxes. Wisdom with that.Susan your cards were neat. Continue prayers for Colin. Sure wish you hear about the ultrasound and all. Plus hope, he got the rest he needs. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Judith. Prayers it’s got to be so hard the pain and bleeding at times. Prayers you can sleep well ok as you need Thant for healing. Plus the raw & sore. Please heal,Judith Lord. Many prayers as we all need healing in some way. Plus wisdom too

Marilyn, I am so very sorry that your kidneys are not doing well and it’s so hard that the Doctor has told you that you need blood work done more often than you were having and that the Doctor told you that he feels you would need dialysis within 2 months. Praying for wisdom for the Doctor and for God’s Healing for your kidneys that the numbers will come up to normal levels. I am so very sorry to hear about your dear Sister, this is so hard, my heart goes out to you, my prayers are with your Sister and for you and the whole family.
Susan, love the cards you shared here, it looks by the number of cards that were made you had a large class. They have made some lovely cards. So glad you were able to have your card class. Nice Colin was able to rest while you met with the group and made your cards. I’m praying that you hear from the hospital soon so Colin can see the Specialist and get the Care he needs. I continue to pray for the Floods and for safety for you and Colin and all of your community!
Barb, my prayers are with your daughter for a safe delivery and healthy baby. So nice you are able to keep the boys so your daughter can concentrate on giving birth. Such good news that it’s not a Breech Birth. Hope you enjoy going to see the Last Supper Carvings the man from your Sunday School made. You said all of you were going, does that mean you the two grandsons and Harry? I am sure you will enjoy. I look forward to hear about the arrival of your New Grandchild and what you daughter had and what name they chose. So exciting for you! Continuing to pray!
Linda, so sorry to hear about the enormous amount of money you owe on your Federal Taxes. That is so hard. But am glad you are supposed to get some back from the State Taxes. For sure I’m Praying for you. Have you had any test results yet for your liver.
Thank you all for praying! Tomorrow I am at the Cancer Clinic for follow up. I also find out what treatment is planned for me. Be back tomorrow! God Bless! 🙏🤗

I had my blood draw for the liver enzymes today and will probably hear tomorrow if things have improved. I got good news at TOPS - I lost another pound. I am getting close to my goal. I am watching the news and seeing snow coming down in Denver. We have friends that will be traveling in the mountains on Saturday to come visit us. If the weather is bad, they will cancel their plans.
Judith - no need for an apology. We all know that you will be here when you can. I am glad to hear that some of your areas are improving. Now if all of it will start to improve it would be wonderful.
Marilyn - I am so sorry to hear that you may start to have dialysis in a few months. Since the fistula surgeries were not successful does he know how they will be able to access your arteries for the dialysis? I am sorry to hear about your sister's decline. I know that since you can not be there, it must be extra hard to wait on updates. I pray for the strength and comfort of Jesus will surround you and your family as you go through this difficult time. Where does your sister live?
Susan - what beautiful cards! You are so talented and are a blessing to be able to share your talents with others to make these cards.
Barb - So exciting that your new grandbaby is on it's way. Maybe it has already come since I am posting several hours after you did. I am so glad that it is not breech. Once the water breaks, it should hurry the baby's arrival. You were right about her having babies early.
1 -
Linda, praying for a good result for your liver tests. Congratulations on your weight loss! Woohoo anout being near your goal! 🥳 Sorry about your taxes. Thank you for saying what you did about the cards. Some of the ladies in class were only beginners a year ago, and look at them go now!
Judith, I know you will have a taxing day today. Don't be concerned if you have no energy to post tomorrow, OK? Praying for you. Thank you also for admiring the class cards. I had 4 ladies but a couple of the cards were my example cards. I usually have completed one and I make.one with them too.
Brab, how exciting about your daughter not having a breavh birth and being so close yo the arrival of her baby! Praying all goes well and everybody is safe. I know you'll give us more news when you can. Yes, Colin needs an Angiogram. He may have blockages in his arteries that need stenting. The surgeon can do stents during an Angiogram.
1 -
Linda. Congrats on another lb lost!, way to go!! Enjoy your company! I hope no snow or bad weather so they can come. Enjoy!,
Marilyn. Sorry that you may have to start dialysis. Prayers for you & your sister. It’s got to be hard. May she feel God’s arm around her at this time plus you too.Susan. Love your cards. They are so neat. Hooe Colin can see about his heart soon.
Judith. So sorry with the raw skin & pain you have. Praying for you. It must be so hard to eat with all that is going on too. Many prayers.
Well Cody Axel was born this morning at 1. The midwife got there at 12:30 and Cody born in 30 minutes. So fast. I thought I sent a chat but guess it went with Linda’s in space. A very busy day when you have 2 boys toddlers who get up at crack of dawn you get tired. I hope Jean & Tim, dad got rest as we take the boys back. Probably after we get wash down as the boys have us up at 5:50 & they get up at 6:30. They have the awake clock. It goes on green at time dad sets.
Have a good weekend all. I’ll send pic of Cody. Oh he was 6 lbs 12 oz, 20” long. Jean was due 4/19. So not bad for 38 weeks.
Cody Axel.
1 -
Oh, Cody is perfect, Barb! I'm so glad he is here safely! I hope your daughter is alright?
2 -
Barb - Congratulations on the new baby. I am sorry the boys get up so early. Do they take long naps to let you rest also. Jean will have her hands full with 3 energetic boys to take care of. Will you be helping take care of them like you do Mariposa? How many grandkids do you have now? How is Annabella's esophagus doing?
Susan - It would be great if Colin could get his angiogram some stents if necessary to help his circulation. That can help a lot with his chest pain.
Judith - Praying for healing and comfort. I am so glad that you are maintaining your weight in spite of your sore and raw face.
We "attended" our friend's memorial service via zoom today. It was a beautiful service with lots of memories shared and mutual tears but also joy that she is enjoying seeing the face of Jesus and feeling ultimate peace. This is only a temporary separation from her.

The boys let us sleep, till 6 AM. So a bit more sleep, this morning. We will drop the, off at 10 & see Cody. I got a free reward little blue Lowe’s bucket that has a stuffed dog in it for Cody from us & his brothers.
The midwife is coming at 9 and so we are to!come at 10. We are doing wash with the boys clothes so that will help Jean out. I’m glad the midwife is checking out Jean as I know nurses always checked on our discharge plus trying to get uterus making sure it’s going back to normal. She is nursing so that helps too ok.
inbelieve Annabella esophagus unsmoked. I know she is happier & sleeping better at night so I assume all is better if not healed she will be 5 4 months Sunday!Tim, Dad, who is self employed, plans on taking a month off then Jean may like us, to come over to take or play with the boys in the morning for her. Yesterday she was nursing every 2-3 hours. Not sure about today. Not sure how many days with Mariposa, maybe Mariposa once a week. I still, like to, have days off to clean, spring clean or yard work. Plus the church activities I’m in craft, Bible study & Joy group. Joy group or senior is only once a month. It’s this week. I am helping with decorations.
prayers for breaking for Judi5. I know in God’s time and Ahis time is not ours. So prayers for Judith as she waits.
Linda. Somglad you could zoom the memorial service.
Continue prayers for Colin with his heart.
Plus for Marilyn & her sister.
Oh Harry 3 is Mariposa & Annabellas dad, my mom & sister who are nurses wonder if 3 dizziness is related to Harry 3 or 3 large tonsils? So suggested he see a ENT. I see one 4/28 & I may ask. Harry 3 is 46. All in God’s hands.
Have a good day & weekend. May you be fed with Gods word Susan as Sunday it will be for you before us!1 -
Barb, you are right. It is Sunday here and I am getting ready to go to church. It's good to know how everyone there is! I hope those who need to find answers for health problems do find out how to make things better. It sounds like Annabella's oesophagus is practically normal now. Praise the Lord for answered prayer! I hope you can pace yourself with grandchildren duties. Jean will be appreciating your support so much right now.
Linda, yes, we're really hoping the angiogram reveals something that can help Colin's heart. No other test shows blockages, but he sure isn't normal. I'm glad you had a good memorial service via Zoom. It sounded so heartfelt. That's beautiful. Yes, one day we'll all be together again!
Judith, we're all thinking of you and praying you are alright after your appointments and procedures. Rest and recover, my friend.
Better go get ready for church. Time is a ticking.

Good night here on this side. Good afternoon maybe for Susan. Sunday That it’sis..
It’s quiet here so it’s nice. No one waking us up early. We have lots of memories with the boys. The boys love looking at their baby brother. Pray Cody stays safe. They do have a pack n play for him. Cody was born in a birthing pool. The midwife came & checked Jean out. Cody may have a bit of what, Annabella had as he spit up when on his back sleeping. So they have a bed that raises him & fits in the pack n play too.
Hope you get info, on Colin soon. Praying so.
Judith continue prayers for you and the healing.
Linda. We are getting the cold & will for 3 nights. So, my plants are covered. I noticed that my bleeding hearts are blooming too. I will have to cover the, tomorrow & Sunday as Monday morning will be the coldest.I’ll send a picture of the growing family. Jean is hoping that the newness of a new brother wears off when Tim goes back to work.
Prayers for Marilyn & sister too.
Harry & I went to an orchid show display.

Our guests got here this afternoon then we went together to a friend's 50th birthday party that we both know. They will not be staying very long since they preach at the Denver church. They will probably leave at 6am to get to church by 10:30am. They do not mind getting up and leaving early since they like to be up early anyway. I on the other hand would need someone to pull me out of bed and dress me to get me in the car that early. I hope I can sleep better tonight. Last night I woke up with chest pain and a fast heartbeat. I think it was because I stopped breathing and my CPAP machine could not get me to breathe again. Once I woke up, I started having a panic attack just thinking about my friend that we had the memorial service for that died in her sleep. Satan was having a hay day in my brain for sure since I was not fully awake. I woke Glenn up and he prayed for me and I took my Blood pressure pill that I had forgotten to take earlier and I was able to calm down. I have not had a problem like that in a long time.
Barb - thanks for the update on all that is going on in your family. I am glad that Anabella is feeling better. I am also glad that it is quiet in your house. I am sure you had fun with the boys but having quiet is also nice. I hope Harry3 is feeling better. Having an ENT check him out is probably a good idea. How far does Harry3 and Jean live from you? If you go help them next month I hope you do not have to travel very far to get to them.
Susan - Having chest pain last night made me have more empathy for Colin. The friend who is visiting had a heart attack when he was in his late 30's. I ask him about his heart pain and he said the cardiologist told him that if his pain can be stopped quickly by changing positions, deep breathing, walking, etc then the pain is not cardiac. That information helped me quite a bit since my pain did not last long last night.
Judith - As Susan said, I hope you are getting rest and healing. Do you have an appointment with the surgeon this week on Thursday?
Tomorrow we have our group from the church for brunch and a lesson as we do each first Sunday of the month. I am making a bacon quiche and hashbrowns. We also have biscuits and gravy, fruit, banana bread, chips and salsa, and lots of other delicious foods. I am getting hungry just thinking about it.
1 -
Barb, Congratulations on the Birth of your grandson Cody, he is a good weight and looks so healthy, such a sweet boy! Loved the picture of Mommy and Daddy with the new baby and his two brothers. A beautiful family. Your daughter looks so good. Happy to hear that Annabella has overcome the esophagus problems and is happier and sleeping so much better. You certainly will have your hands full with all your grandchildren with helping with looking after them all. And you have your church activities and outdoor work.
Praying for Harry about the balance issues. Thanks for sharing beautiful orchid pictures. Gorgeous blooms!Linda, hope you get good results back from your liver tests. The Zoom Memorial service sounded so lovely for your friend. Just to think she is in the presence of the Lord face to face with Jesus! So sorry you had that scare with your heart during the night. Hope tonight you are feeling better and sleep well tonight. Your Group you have over to your place from church tomorrow for Brunch sounds like it will be a great time of fellowship with all the yummy food you are preparing and serving. Bacon Quiche sounds scrumptious! Would you be able to share it on our Recipe thread? Enjoy Church and your brunch Linda!
Susan, hope you are enjoying your Church Services this morning and tonight as it’s your Sunday now, for me it’s Saturday night. Continue to keep Colin in pray that he gets his appointment soon and he can get some help and feel better.
Thanks all for your kind comments and all your prayers! I’m off to bed now. I gave a detailed update on what is happening with my treatment on our Prayer Thread. 🙏🤗

Morning. Off to the Dr for Colin's checkup. More later perhaps.
1 -
Susan. So hooe the meeting with Colin check up, went well many prayers. I know you will let us know in your time. May not know anything too praying. I guess he still needs to see another dr or a test about chest pains and all.
Linda. So sorry about 5enchest pain. Good advice your cardiologist gave you. I hope you sleep better tonight with no chest pains and all & have no problem with breathing and the CPAP machine. 🙏🏻
Sorry that your friends didn’t stay long but glad they did stop and you had a good visit if only short.
Judith. Continue prayers for your healing, raw skin & tenderness. Hooe you had a good day. Is it this week you have dr visits or coming up soon. Many prayers.
I hope the new ointment helps you. Just saw you have an appointment on Thursday. Prayers that your liver is fine too.Marilyn praying for your kidney and sister.
Harry has his big home that he places meds a veterans home. So,he will get home late. I will watch Mariposa tomorrow. It’s good if I’m there so Mariposa hears English, as his mom speaks Cantonese to her. So she is bilingual. She will need to know English for teachers & friends. Harry 3, or 3, says she is going potty all by herself and doing very well.
Both Harry 3 & Jean our oldest & youngest live near by. Harry 3 lives in the same county just a different town Jean lives further north & in another county, but all KC metro area in Kansas side.
Our middle 2 live further away 3 hours or less to Wichita for Elisabeth & James lives in Branson, MO 5 hours away. They are our middle 2:I have Bible study Tuesday & we have Joy group the senior group on Thursday. So a busy week. Tim is taking 2 weeks off so Jean is fine. I did find the boys light jackets so we will have to get the, to her.
it is to be cold again so I covered my azaleas roses & few other plants. Tomorrow morning it’s to be colder so I have one more night to, cover the plants. I covered the, last night too. So 3 nights of near or below freezing. Oh well. My bleeding hearts are blooming now too.1 -
We had a wonderful church brunch today. We had some visitors so there were 19 at our house. We had people scattered around the house to eat and one went outside to eat. She has Down Syndrome and gets overwhelmed with large crowds. I will try to put the bacon quiche recipe in the recipe thread. I got it off the internet so it should be easy to copy and paste. We have been having lots of really cold nights. My Columbine plant had tiny buds that were going to be blooms but they got frosted last night. At the end of the week it is supposed to be near 80F but we will not be here. We will be in San Diego with cooler temperatures although not freezing. The Elm trees are dropping seeds like snow. I will find trees growing in my flower pots next month that I will need to pull out because the seeds are quick to take over the pots that I have flowers in.
Barb - You have a very busy schedule this month especially with now Cody needing his grandma when his father goes back to work in a few weeks. It sounds like you like to help with the grandkids and I am sure you are very special for them too.
Susan - I am anxious to hear what the doctor has to say at Colin's appointment.
Judith - I got a message from my doctor's portal that there is a message for me but I can not get the internet to cooperate so I can read it. I keep getting a message saying the site is not available. I may also get a phone call tomorrow. I would really like to see what my labs are since I have stopped the cholesterol medication. Since my liver tests are better than they were a year ago, I would assume that the cholesterol medication was what caused the liver damage. I really hope that he does not want to put me on another cholesterol medication since all of the medications have the possibility of causing the same damage. Glenn is cautious about having me on them again so I hope the doctor takes what Glenn thinks since he is a pharmacist. I would be willing to do some diet modifications if it would help me to stay off the drugs.

Susan, I am praying Colin has a good report and the help he needs. God’s Will be done, and much wisdom as he or she plans out the Care Colin needs! Safe travels there and back my friend.
Barb, you remind me of all the years from Birth to Elementary school I had my Grandkids with me. My son in law would drop them off early morning 7:30am and pick them up at 4:30pm. Then I helped on school holidays a week at a time Monday to Saturday night. I loved it much. So awesome Mariposa is bilingual and is doing well in potty training. Hope the boys enjoy the jackets you bought them. Enjoy all your grandkids. Safe travels for Harry travelling to the home to take Meds too. Enjoy your Seniors Joy Bible Study. Sorry about freezing weather, hope it warms up!
Linda, hope you gain internet access so you can get the results of your liver tests. Trusting it is a good report coming. Happy your brunch turned out so well. A large group you had. I saw the Bacon Quiche posted on our recipe file, thank you! You mentioned it was turning hot here but in Denver it’s colder. Safe travels for you as you head there.
Blessings on the week ahead! I’m off to bed now! Thanks for all your love and prayers! See you tomorrow. Love and Hugs ♥️🤗🙏

Hi all. It's was just a review at the GP's today, but she did order a bone scan of his Thoracic spine to see if it has worsened Five of the 12 vertebrae there have suffered crush fractures over time. Itcouldbe the vertebrae are referring pain around to the front. He'll have some tests then see what they tell us in two weeks. No real news yet. The GP is just trying to find every possible cause of his pain.

Thank you for praying, Barb. I hope all is well with you and your sweet grand babies today. I also hope you get some good times from Bible study and the Joy group this week. One of my granddaughters turned 10 yesterday. We spoke to her via video messenger as she is so far away (more than 1200 miles away). I wish I could have hugged her yesterday. She sent me a picture of her manicure that we paid for. I thought it was so cute!
Judith, thank you for praying. We tend to forget about Colin's Thoracic spine as the crush fractures started in the 1990s. He has severe Osteoporosis and his spine is deteriorating. It's a nightmare for us both to think about the damage that could eventually happen so we put it at the back of our minds. We did have a safe trip in and out to the Dr and went out for lunch together afterwards. Look for the sweet moments! We did some other errands as well and he had his bone scan done. He has a frozen shoulder which is causing a lot of pain so he booked in to get a steroid injection later. They are pretty busy with these injections. I hope you had a good sleep and that your face is healing.
Linda, I sure hope you could access your medical results. I am glad Glenn can advise you about the cholesterol drugs. I believe our brains are practically all made of cholesterol so we do need some of it. I do hope your liver is recovering. It sounds like you did have a lovely time with the luncheon. Thank you for the Quiche recipe. Colin has so many health conditions, none of which play well together. It's hard to sort out which of them is causing symptoms at any one time. It makes sense that his crush fractures could be referring pain to his chest. We'll see what the tests show.
I have a card class today so am going to get it all set up. Have good days, everyone.
1 -
Susan. Pretty nails on your grand daughter. Many prayers for Colin & all his issues. God knows. Prayers for wisdom. Prayers the injections work well for Colin too.
Hope you Dr card class went well.Judith praying that the ointment is working plus less pain and you may see some healing I hope you had a good day. Praying sign
Linda. You got blooms on your columbine before mine. They are up but no buds, which is good since we are to go to 30* tonight. So I pcoverd more plants even used trash cans to cover some roses. Since no bids or blooms on my columbine I didn’t cover them.Bible study tomorrow the. I’ll watch Mariposa Wednesday. I hope as tonight last cold freeze warning I can clean out the leaves & debris and put down the mulch Thursday thru Saturday. At least the tempswill be good.
I out in a prayer update on our son Harry 3, at least we have answers to why his problems which is not needing a T & A. Guess he had dizzy issues last year and his dr did some tests but not a MRI, which he had done last week. Oh well at least we have answers not cancer probably but his brain. Check the prayer as more is there.
Pray as he may have surgery soon plus Cody & Jean needing help. All in God’s hands.
Thank you for the prayers. Harry 3 is 46.1 -
We went shopping for a miniature rose bush for my birthday today. My birthday is not until next week but we had dug out a rose bush that had not bloomed for 2 years and we needed to put something in the hole before the irrigation gets turned on. We have to work around the irrigation lines to make sure the plant gets the right amount of water. It is called a rainbow rose which is pink with a yellow center. The picture is really pretty and it has lots of buds so we should have blooms in the next few weeks. I will send you a picture when that happens. We do not expect any temperatures below 47F (8.3C) this week so it should not have any danger of frost. I did get my internet problem fixed today so I was able to see what the doctor said about my liver/cholesterol issues. He wants to start me on Zetia which blocks the absorption of cholesterol from my intestines so this only works on the food that I eat. He said it should not harm my liver and will check my liver enzymes and cholesterol levels in 2 months to make sure there is no further damage to my liver and that it is working correctly. My body also makes cholesterol that is not affected by this med so my numbers may go up a little bit. At least I did get to ask him questions about it.
Barb - That is wonderful that Mariposa is going to be bilingual. For an older person to learn two languages at one time it would be hard but littles ones have a much easier time learning languages quickly. I wish my mind worked like my 4 year old granddaughter. She is also learning Spanish as well as English from my daughter-in-law. Their brains are just like sponges wanting to learn things all the time. I am continuing to pray for Harry 3. I have not gone to the prayer thread yet so I will go there next to see what you posted. (Update - I just read the thread and came back here to say that I am praying for the mass in Harry 3's brain. The balance problems as well as bladder issues now make more sense. I am glad that they do not think that it is cancer. It is amazing what the doctors can do now with microscopic surgery in the brain and other tiny veins and arteries.)
Susan - I did not realize that Colin has 5 out of 12 vertebra that are damaged. I can see why he has to be careful lifting and moving heavy things. Have they tried a kyphoplasty (inject surgical cement in the broken bone) to support the fracture? We used to do a lot of them in the hospital and had great results. You said the fractures occurred over years so maybe the procedure would not work now since it is not a new fracture. Referred pain could be the reason for his pain. If this is true, it would at least give you some relief that it is not his heart causing the pain.
Judith - I hope this new ointment regime is a little easier on your skin. You said both are toxic but I was hoping that alternating them might be helpful to your raw and sore skin.
