75 soft has still been a bit of a challenge, but I'm making my way through it. Today is likely going to be my first "rest" day because I didn't get home from bowling until late last night and opted for sleep instead of an early morning workout. Normally I do CrossFit on Thursday evenings, but I am the president of a small school board in my town, and I have a meeting with the president of another small school board tonight during my normal class time.

I am ready for this week to be over, but it seems to be dragging! It's also been cloudy and raining off an on which makes me more tired than I am. This weekend is supposed to be nice and will already be 85F tomorrow and Saturday. But it will cool down again next week.
We have friends coming over for dinner and games Saturday night. Looking forward to that! Anyone else have plans for this weekend?

A rag rug is a rug made of used bed sheets or clothing. Similar to this site.
. I have a clothing recycler business that is close by and does many different classes on how to repurpose old clothing such as making a bag, hat plus sewing classes. My grandma used to make rugs like this and it brings me so many memories.Thought today was Friday but sadly I have another day of work. Looking forward to the weekend

I didn't stand my ground yesterday and watched a triggering movie my dear friend really wanted to watch for some stupid reason instead of going to the gym so now I'm a creature full of hate. An evening of fixing my bathroom and watching a movie that dumped adrenaline in my system was not in the plan but I failed myself. I didn't do what I needed to do to make me happy. If my friend comes to the gym with me tonight, I'm gonna be tempted to do an unusually long workout as an act of revenge for pushing that movie despite my reluctance.
It's hard not to think that she did this on purpose, though I've never forced her to go to the gym she is insecure so it's really really hard to not think she wants to sabotage me and prevent me from working out. I'm probably just paranoid because I was already in a bad mood and the movie made me feel worse so I'm in a negative thinking space. 😫 I should just go to the gym alone or with my boyfriend tonight so I don't unethically trap her there for hours trying every single machine and amenity to be petty.

@lauren_989 - no real weekend plans other than getting my workouts in. Likely pickleball and possibly a trip to the gym to use the elliptical. Oh, and I have a painting class with my mom tonight.
@ElfBodGoals - I'm sorry your night was sabotaged especially with a movie that was triggering. I hope you can regroup tonight with a good workout.
@ashleycarole86 - I hope with all the stress of work and the move right now, you can find some time to focus on yourself and your health. We are here for you regardless of how much you can log on. Good luck with everything life is throwing your way right now!

I didn't expect a whole pound to leave but I'm happy 🤩Last night at the gym I did assisted pull ups and dips, 5 minutes on the row machine, 10 minutes walking, and squats. Then I hopped on the hydromassage. It was chill. I feel like going on a long walk somewhere, I convinced my friend to download Pikmin Bloom. It's kind of like Pokemon GO but the gameplay is more relaxed.2 -
@lauren_989 So sorry, can I be excused this week? Came down with some kind of nasty cold (I hope nothing worse) and didnt weigh in. As it stands, I am staying in bed today with a baked potato and several boxes of tissues.

@ElfBodGoals I haven't heard of pikmin bloom, I will have to look into that! It's sad to say, but hubby and I play pokemon go haha. It definitely gets me out walking! Great job at the gym today!
So friends didn't end up coming over tonight. Hubby and I grilled burgers and played the board (ish) game anyway. It was fun! It's called Nemesis and based on the Alien movies. Tomorrow is my 5k training day so will hopefully get outside if it's not raining.

@lauren_989 and other ‘waistaways’ here’s a little introduction about me - I’m 73 years young and been married to my childhood sweetheart for 53 years, blessed with a son and daughter and 3 beautiful granddaughters.
I am based in Kent, the garden of England and still work part time at our local council which helps to fund my love of travel.
I have yo-yoed with my weight forever with weight piling back on over the last 2 years so it’s time to get it back under control.

I have been doing well this week and my weight has plateaued yet again (more like impatience, it's only been 5 days lol). I got out and did my 5k training today and felt somewhat good. The pollen is insanse right now and it's hitting hard! 🤧
