    My parents are visiting and staying over for 10 days. I am less active (my dad has a bad knee so walks less now) and probably cooking more so I am just going to try to eat mindfully and hope for the best.

    Kudos to top of the leaderboard, @Emilienewme for most steps in one day--exceeding 20K! Well done @lujainhoban making Most Consistent! whose deviation in daily steps was .36%. That's phenomenal! And of course, bolded members have a step goal and reached it.

    * Members had a missing day or two…if you want to provide catch up steps for the final, just let me know.

    Reminder: the weekly post is Sun-Sat. This is where steps frequently go missing. If you post a different pattern, make sure you've posted the days at the beginning of the week. Dates are also helpful (week of…)!

    If you want to join the step challenge for April:

    Just post your steps by the end of Wendnesday after the week ends. I'm flexible and might wait a day or two for you. If we're 'friends', I may drop a personal note to you to check in. If we aren't, and you'd like a personal note, send me (melaniedscott) a friend request.

    NOT happy with myself at all! Quite disappointed. 😞 I am going to try and get this turned around though! Strictly use my diary and get out for some walking, and working in the garden, and hope for a loss next weigh In. Fingers crossed! I was so happy that I was finally out of the 220's! But knew I wasn't too far out of it to easily go back, hopefully I can turn things around!

    Back from the conference and eating lots of veggies. It feels really good to support my body in this way after eating lots of sugar and processed food this weekend. This upcoming week, I plan to shift my weight down.

    • Track food - didn't track food again this week, but I am shifting that this week. I did turn down opportunities for sweets which is not usually easy for me. (C+)
    • Weigh in daily - when I have access to my scale (A+)
    • Steps - going to post Sun - Sat —> Tues each week to make it easier for mods (let me know if it's not easier!
      • U 4/13 = 19728 (10k for average) - marathon relay day
      • M 4/14 = 8205
      • T 4/15 = 4631
      • W 4/16 = 2176
      • R 4/17 = 4831
      • F 4/18 = 6388
      • S 4/19 = 8645
      • U 4/20 = 9807
      • M 4/21 = 13331 (10k for average) - run day
      • Not counting steps over 10k, I have an average of 6640 steps per day this past week (Tues to Mon) and I met my step goal of 6000 steps 4 times this week. Yay! (A)
    • Self care - I meditated 5 times this past week! Go me! (A)
    • OVERALL - (A-)

    From last week, I wanted to complete a couple of tasks:

    Update MFP calorie goal to be aligned with my base calorie needs (and re-read the article that tells me what it is and how to calculate it) - DONE!

    @cedarfoxy - Sounds like things are going really well for you now that you're back from the conference! I always love getting back on my routine after too long off of it - that first infusion of roasted vegetables hits me in my soul. What kinds of meals are you planning to track in advance? Do you have a strategy in mind?

    @blessedgrandma5 - Well, the good news is that it's very very very unlikely to gain three pounds of fat in a week. Is there some reason you could be holding onto excess water? Stress? Salt? Sugar? Illness? Hormones? Allergies? Muscle Repair? Recomposition? Poor Sleep? You've got lots of options.
