Are you a procrastinator like me? I always say I put the PRO in procrastination lol. I saw this and it spoke to me, so I thought I’d share

@FWSWCindy What type of deficit are you running?

@nancyinmiami - I appreciate the ideas for dealing with procrastination! I’m going to use these today — must send work invoices!
I’m closer to the end once I start!

Here’s my weekly weigh-in report —
Weigh-in day: Thursday
PW: 148.3
CW: 148.5SW: 168
Ltd: 19.5 poundsMy short-term goal is 140 pounds to reach a “normal” BMI and my ultimate goal is to maintain my weight between 125-130, which is the mid-range of the BMI for my height (a little over 5’3”) and the weight at which I feel best. I recognize that BMI measures do not work for some people but it’s a good gauge of progress for me. Best wishes, Shape Shifters! I hope you have a great week. 😊

@angmarie28 Yeah, sometimes, things don't post as they should.
Got your steps all entered. 7/6 was the one that caused the mix-up last week. All good now.
The week ends on Saturday, so please try to post today thru Saturday by Monday. I like to post the week's totals by Tuesday. Thanks.

@FWSWCindy How is your half marathon training going? I have read on random message boards and whatnot (nothing official) that it is actually pretty difficult to lose weight while training for a long distance race.
I don't have any solutions though, I'm kind of experiencing the same thing. I think I'm just having a hard time balancing calories. Enough to fuel and recover especially from the long runs, but still holding on to a decent deficit. Basically, I just get so hungry after runs over about 6 miles, I eat through any deficit I made.
Good luck, on both the weight loss and the training!

I planned to go sculling this morning on the Occoquan River, about a 30-minute drive from my house, but I heard there was lots of debris in the water. So, I decided not to row alone because of the increases likelihood of hitting something. Now, I’m going to run later in the day when it cools off, since I need to run more to prepare for the October 26th Marine Core Marathon. I just found out that I need to travel to CA later that day for a work meeting October 27-29, so I might need to schedule a wheelchair to get to the plane! 🤣

I’m very pleased with the small loss since it was my birthday week and I’ve been enjoying a lot of treats that I don’t normally have. My daughter send me a dozen Tiffs Treats chocolate chip cookies and I’ve been using some birthday rewards that I’ve been getting in my emails. I think I have about 45 email birthday rewards of one kind or another, from makeup at Sephora and Ulta to $$ for free clothes, meals and desserts. I won’t use them all, of course, but I try to use the best ones and spread them out throughout the month.
This week at the gym was the 12-rep week, where I do everything for 12 reps three times. And it has kicked my behind this week! Glad to have that one in the rear view mirror. I’m sore so I need to keep up with the Advil. But it’s a good kind of sore.
I’m trying to get back to my regular walks; it’s better for me to do them in the evening when things start to cool down. We’ve had a spell of late day showers that has been hindering me, but I think we’re entering our regular Texas July 100s now. I have new shoes, I changed from Brooks to Hokas and it’s been a bit of a learning curve because the fit is different. But interestingly, I’ve found that I’m walking faster. I’m not sure if it’s because of the shoes or if it’s because I’ve been walking alone rather than with my husband. I’ll see how that goes when he joins me again.

Week Review
I'm happy with this loss. Anything down is good.Looking back at the week, it looks like I did good on 5 of the last 7 days. I ate way too much on Saturday, which is when I did my long run in the morning. I had a hard time controlling my appetite for the rest of the day. The second day that I ate too much was Wednesday. No real reasons, I was just having a bad day and it was reflected in my food. I ran 4 times this week, which is an increase, but I would like to get it to around 5-6 times a week.
So overall, I think I did pretty good, but there is room to improve, with both diet and exercise.

Took my pups for a walk tonight. Had to go on 3 separate walks because my dogs are 120+ pounds each and strong if they want to take off. Took my max boy to the river, and the girls just around the block. The girls are newfoundlands and they weren't thrilled with walking in the heat. Max on the otherhand is half lab half newfoundland, and could walk forever. Mosquitoes were terrible though, we got eaten up.

@angmarie28 beautiful dog. My daughter’s favourite dog is a Newfoundland, she was thrilled a couple years ago to get a picture of herself with a Newfoundland dog in Newfoundland:)
