I need to give you my weigh-in today (usually Wednesday) as I off to France tonight for almost 2 weeks and not bringing the scales alongπ. It will be Saturday 2nd August before I can weight again. That probably will be a bad one for sure, although I am packing my runners and usually eat quiet well when we are there.
So Weigh-in

I made it back from RI and NH. I had a blast seeing my family and hanging out with my nieces! We did a lot of activity (hiking, pedal boating, swimming), but I definitely ate more than I would have. I am back on track today and went to the gym. I will still have a gain this week, just hopefully nothing too bad!

Hi @lauren_989
You had great weather for a trip to NH! We are in the southern part of the state in a small town about 15 minutes from Nashua.

After using MFP since 18 July 2012 and my daily login of 3124 days in a row I'm afraid this might end soon and I won't be able to be a part of this wonderful group anymore π’ I can't use the app anymore on my new phone (the old one stops working from time to time) and above a certain Android update (the new one is 14) I'm not able to log in.. The webbrowser is accessible but I can no longer register my food there anymore, it says food registration only via app.. So,β¦ I'm heartbroken and slightly panicking.. I will post my updates here as long as I can, but if I don't anymore it's because I can't anymore..

Tried to delete this post, I couldn't..
Tried to adjust this post, it wouldn't let me anymore..
So.. Update: I updated the app and it seems to work π
But it's no longer possible to enter food to the food dairy through the webpage.. Such a pity π

@myndieet I was about to post this, before seeing that you've got it sorted out.
β
I have an Android phone with version 16 installed and I'm able to log in. So whatever the issue is with your phone, I'm sure it's solvable.2 -
@frankwbrown thank you π
I see I also spoke to soon as it is still possible to log food in the diary through the web page π I'll keep my mouth shut for the rest of the day.. π€π

Weigh-in Day: Friday (July 25, 2025)
PW: 242.7
CW: 244.8No surprise - it's due to deprioritizing exercise in favor of lots and lots of hours working (and sitting in a chair all day). I'm getting on the rowing machine right after this update!

Just read an article that the 10,000 steps per day was pretty much made up for marketing a pedometer. There is no scientific basis for improved health after getting that many steps in a day.
"At 7,000 steps, however, the results were dramatic: all-cause mortality went down by 47 per cent, the risk of dementia fell 38 per cent, falls by 28 per cent and cardiovascular disease by 25 per cent. There were also reductions in the risk of depression, type 2 diabetes and cancer. Even a modest increase in step count to 4,000 reduced all-cause mortality by 36 per cent."
Starting from a baseline of 2000 steps per day, you seem to get a lot of health benefits and for every 1000 steps past that you still them BUT after 7000 steps the improvements start to slow down.
Here's the article:

@Melobee63 I read a similar article! I also ready that doing ~3,000 steps more than your baseline activity. If I don't do anything extra besides work, I get around 3,000 steps. Hence my goal of 7,000 steps per day
