I agree, Linda. Did you know in Australia we have chocolate frogs? They are called Freddo Frogs. My mind melds amphibians with insects after our discussion but before that I didn't mind eating chocolate frogs. (I will still eat them. Ha ha!) 😋

oh my, Chocolate Frogs, but I admit, they are sure cute little guys) This Melts my Heart….

I'm not sure how I feel about eating a chocolate frog but that is better than a cricket or spider in my mind. I think that the "smell" of the candy would help me be a bit more willing to give it a try - maybe with my eyes closed.
SMELL

The chocolate is good and the frogs are small. You would get maybe two bites out of them.
SMALL

Can they be melted into a liquid to add to "malts" for flavor? If I could drink a frog rather than biting off it's head or body that might be easier to handle. 😁
MALTS

thank you Susan for explaining the Frogs are Small…great idea Linda melting the chocolate into Malts. I like that idea, however we can Slate that idea for next time, as I just can’t think about melting a Frog for Malts. Sorry 😞 Susan, Linda…

Lol! It's OK, Judith. We can use plain chocolate instead that has been molded into blocks instead of frogs 🐸. Oh, look. Is that sleet I see coming down from the sky?
SLEET
1 -
It is too early for sleet but I can see it with my very own eyes also. I should tell the road department so they can get ready the snow plow "fleet" in case it turns into snow.
FLEET

Susan and Linda, you gals are funny changing the subject so quickly, from Sleet to Fleet, I am going to Fleed from the situation…
FLEED
Fleed" is a non-standard past tense and past participle form of the verb "to flee". The correct forms are fled. "Fleed" is sometimes used, particularly in a dialectal or nonstandard context, and it can also refer to the internal fat of a pig before it is rendered into lard.0 -
Oh my, I did not know of the meanings of FLEED before. Thank you, Judith. My mind is freed from any misconceptions it might have had about the word!

Thanks Judith for your explanation. I like to learn the background of words. It "feeds" my brain with new knowledge and a brighter memory.

My brain needs such stimulation too. I love learning about words.
NEEDS

Not everyone "heeds" the suggestion that we need to keep our brains stimulated and have worse memory loss. I can not say my memory is perfect but I do try to keep it busy with new things.
HEEDS

I hear you Susan, everyone Needs the Brains to be Stimulated! I too love learning new things and new words. And you are correct Linda, not everyone Heeds the suggestion to keep our Brains Stimulated, I agree, my Memory might not be perfect but I too try and keep my Brain active and busy like you. One who Feeds on Good Things to Keep their Brain Active is Wise!

What fo you all for to keep your brains active? I know we all study God's word. I do word puzzles every day and always like to learn a new word, and I keep looking for different card techniques and folds to try. I am not someone who cedes this task to others! (Not sure if that fits but it's a newword for our thread! Lol!)
CEDES

Thanks for the new word Susan, and that’s good to know that you are not one who Cedes the task to someone else. Good Deeds to pass on to another….

Susan - I read a lot and do proofreading for Glenn when he writes articles or classes, I put together jig saw puzzles, I google a lot of things I am interested in and I am taking a musical class to learn chords for the piano to stretch my mind.
I have tried to play the trumpet my Dad had but I was not very good. I have not tried any instruments that use "reeds" though. My dream when I was growing up was to play the flute but my mother said there was not much call for it and the piano would be more useful. You have proved her wrong Susan!
REEDS

That all sounds so good, Linda. They are excellent learning activities. You reminded me that I also study four languages every day (Spanish, French, Arabic and now Chinese) to stretch my mind and have taken up Ukelele and Banjolele in the past 4+ years. The flute has been my constant companion since I was 13 years old. It fits with so many instruments and genres, I have widened my creed for its use over the years.
CREED

Susan, you sure have widened your Creed over the years with all your instruments. You have a Breed of Musical 🎶 talents…

Susan you are so impressive with studying 4 different languages. Are you learning to speak them or just to be able to read them? I do not think I could do all that but you have "freed" my mind up to new possibilities.
FREED
1 -
I do learn to read the new languages but there are speaking exercises with three out of the four of them. Arabic is the one without speaking exercises. I have not tested any of my language skills on real people much! French is the only language I have conversed in, in a very limited way. But I can often understand writings and movies in French and Spanish and even recognise words in Chinese and Arabic now. I would feel a bit treed if I had to talk with people in real life in those languages! Lol! But I would try to do it.
TREED
1 -
Most people speak English as a second language so if you can not say the exact words they can probably understand your English. If you are in a foreign country and try to buy something you can tell their motive for the price - are they speaking truth or speaking out of "greed" to someone they can swindle?
GREED
1 -
Lol Susan I hear you, I too would be “Treed” if I had to speak to others in any of those languages. And Linda Greed really stands out as you see it a lot these days, sadly but ever so true. and Greed is outside my Edger Limit of Patience…

I would not like to be gored by someone's greed. It would leave me feeling gutted.
GORED

Susan I so agree as being Gored by someone’s Greed would make me feel Gutted. WE sure don’t want to be Gored by someone’s Greed but I’d rather be doers of doing the right thing!
