I don't think you offended us, Judith. Rates is a perfectly good word. It is always a a challenge to come up with a new word and fit it into our story.
Sometimes the fates of our stories have to twist and turn!

I am not offended Judith.
I am so glad that I do not have to depend on my own wisdom in making important decisions. God's word and the Spirit are always there to "share" and direct me with what is the best decision.

We do not have to crash and burn on the cleft of our human nature if we seek guidance in God's word.

Yes Susan we seek God’s guidance in all things and do not need to crash or burn, and I agree Linda we are to be careful we are not Brash but have a contrite and humble spirit before God! This scripture came to mind: here goes from memory: see below)

Amen. The Word of God does what it says it will. It never harps on needlessly but the important things in scripture are often repeated for emphasis. There is usually another wonderful nugget of wisdom to be gleaned by each telling.

Haha 😂 I can see you gals liked my word Lakes! Yes Linda guess we need some Dikes to hold all the Water the Lakes will hold, we don’t want or need and floods! Here where I live we have Dikes at the end of one of our streets and we have beautiful trails that run the course all the way alongside and up past the Dikes, a lot of people hike on them it a lovely area to take Hikes run their Dogs, see the Majestic Mountains and a lot of wild life.

We just finished a hike and I am really tired! I had worn out walking shoes that were slippery on the gravel of the path that went up the mountain. I should get new shoes - maybe some "Nikes". They are a good brand of shoes.

Yes Susan Walking Pikes (Sticks or Poles) are good to have a lot of people here in BC use them. With many people walking the trails through the mountains there has been a Spike in Sales.

A walking pike really helped me walk up the mountain yesterday that I "spoke" about yesterday.

Walking sticks help and they can be a good poker tool if you need to pick something up from the ground!

Brilliant! Love your analogies. And you are so right the Walking Sticks help us walk on the trails and they are great at Picking up something from the ground. And as you walk along you aim for the object and it pokes at the object and picks it up for you!

Walking sticks are very useful in many ways. I am so glad you are so well informed. The next time I "speak" to my friend who is having balance problems I will tell her what I have learned.

It is good to be as prepared as possible when climbing up mountain peaks. Using Pikes and having spikes on strudy shoes would be advisable.

On the mountain peaks there is a bird nest that belongs to a bald eagle. Do not get too close or the "beaks" of the babies might think you are food for them and bite you. They are very strong.

While you are speaking to your friend, you might also mention that the smell of "steak" will cause the babies to become hyperactive in the nest and they might fall out. She needs to leave the steak at the campsite before hiking to the top of the mountain. You might have bears eat your steak at the campsite but the babies will be safe. (Your friend is a bit strange carrying a steak in her backpack in the first place!) LOL
