Please stop in and say hello.
What races does everyone have on their schedule??
I am running my 4th marathon the 1st weekend in April. Hoping to drop 5-10 lbs by then by watching my in take a little bit closer. Currently, I'm limiting to 2000 calories a day and not adding back for my exercise. I run 5 days a week- 40ish miles a week, strength training 2 days a week. My question is, on my long runs…
Running NOLA 2019 first marathon. Anyone competing in others?
Recommendations on running compression shorts or any shorts for that matter that won't ride up my huge thighs? I'm thinking they need to be long enough to cover my whole quad but not cover my knees to bunch up. Times running out and I don't want to wear my current capris that I have during my marathon! UGH!
I was off fit pal for two weeks and came back to it only crediting me 427 calories on a 13 mile day. (Eleven I ran, two I walked) anyone else experiencing this? This has happen all week. Did they readjust an algorithm?
Working towards my first full marathon this fall. Finished my hill training this week and next week I have a 10k fartlek run (for the next 4 weeks) on the training calander. While I get the gist of it, does anyone have a good site or youtube vids that they would recommend as some additional info? Thanks
I have resumed training after taking a 3-week break (after realizing I had been in some sort of training/maintenance for more than a year), have seen good progress in my full and half-marathon times. I find the half-marathon distance "easy" now. but I do run a mix of half-and full marathons. I have run some of the shorter…
Hi, I'm new to runs lasting an hour and more but I've been running more often and plan to run my first half marathon this year. How long are runs where you bring water with you? What about food or gel? Do you have any preference? I have searched for some information on this but a lot of it sounds like personal preference.…
I'm still far away from starting but I wanted to have a good foundation before I sign up for my first one. I've read that something as low as 15-20 miles a week is fine for starting marathon training. I expected something higher than that considering a marathon is longer that that weekly start. I've completed my first half…
I have lifted weights weekly for most of my marathon training. I am starting to substitute runs twice a week with weight training. So far. I feel great. I don't think I am losing anything but I will find on on race day. Part of the issue is that I am now 50 and my body doesn't respond to the daily repetition of running as…
Presque Isle Marathon in Erie, PA is a HUGE Boston qualifier....so wondering who's going? This will be my second year running the marathon. Ran 4:10 last year, shooting for 3:30 this year, unfortunately no where near by BQ time of 3:05. Who will I see?
