  • P.s. These are from week 1 and week 4. When I first started, I had a problem maintaining even a jog in zone 2. I finally found my balance point and managed to keep it even in zone 2 and 3 for the duration I'm going .2 mph faster across the board and just for fun, I pushed myself on the Intervals. Holy moly! I could always…
  • I've been using the Polar marathon program for (if it still happens) Honolulu Marathon in December. After two weeks of rolling my eyes, I finally saw results from the zone 2&3 training. If anyone is doing something similar, it will eventually pay off!
  • Doesn't look like this is a popular answer but... I just go commando. 😂
  • I actually went to Walmart about a week ago and they have an active wear section with bottoms by Avia (I think). They are listed as "high impact compression leggings". They are PHENOMENAL and each pair is $15. This is Hawaii pricing, it would probably be cheaper on the mainland. They go up pretty high which isn't the most…
  • Hahaha I'm in the same boat. Last time I ran, I tried to keep track of my breaths but could find no pattern. 🤣
  • I am 14 lbs from my goal weight and I have been on a plateau for a little over a month. The same thing has happened twice now. In my head I know it is okay but it is hard to keep truckin. It would be awesome if I could reach my goal weight by June 30th 😁 🙏 🤞
  • I run 3 days a week and cross train M-F. I am currently starting over on my base training. You are welcome to add me 😊
  • I breath exactly the same as when walking and running. Spending time training in your aerobic zones 1-3 is a great way to build your base. Once a week I do an Interval that pushes me into the zones 4 & 5. I started with singing songs. I belt them out as loud as I please and try to sing as much of the song as possible. Over…

  • Try drinking more water. I started structuring my day around a routine. Little goals I had to reach before I ate. 5-6 am wake up, hop on the scale. Pour 25 oz water. Once I've finished my first I can have a second with Zeal (it is like an orange juice). 12-1 ish or whenever I finish my second 25 oz, I get lunch. It is my…
  • Vegan, whole food. A year and a half into my weight loss journey and I'm struggling with the last 14 lbs. However, I'm still hanging in there 😁
  • I put screws in a strip of wood and have filled it with medals. I have an odly placed window in my home gym. I laminate the bibs and tape them. Hoping to eventually cover the entire area. 😁
  • Vegan here too! Would love some friends 👍😁
  • Uhmmm... so, I can’t sleep and was trolling the forums. I’ve seen your daily exercise posts. I know that you are larger and that swimming is a great exercise but your calories burned is pretty high. To push 2k calories in 1-1.5 hours is intense. I am assuming you are using MFP calculator? You might want to invest in a HR…
  • Chickpeas (never canned)!!! I make them in my rice cooker 😂 My favorite food and a daily staple. The possibilities are endless. I usually eat them plain like popcorn. Pbj sandwiches (Bonnie maman, peanut butter *without additives/organic/no added oils, sliced banana and Dave's organic bread), almonds and sliced banana, 1c…
  • I've really benefitted from fasting. The first was forced due to throat surgery. After I looked at food differently. Since then, I've done 24 hour fasts. Usually on Mondays. I absolutely love the simplicity and I don't suffer from cravings during the week. The second long fast was 5.5 days after my second surgery. I really…
  • This had me rolling. I hate kale and have tried many times to add it into my diet but... WHY? Mainly because it is touted as being a "super food" which is a bunch of hype. Once I researched nutrition, I learned that every whole food provides nutritional benefits. If you don't like something, don't eat it. I strongly…
  • I have to make an effort to remember to eat and am consistently full. I am able to eat enough protein and calories. I am just struggling when I switch between losing and maintaining. *I switch back and forth every few weeks. By single ingredient, I mean that I make a choice to eat single ingredient foods. A potato is a…
  • I know a lot of people will shoot me for saying this but it is my personal experience. I had the same problem. I couldn't just eat a slice of pizza or a bowl of macaroni. I would eat the entire thing in one sitting. About 3 months ago I had throat surgery and was on a forced fast. I thought it would harm me. The concept of…
  • Lol I've got no problem with tough love.
  • I actually did PIYO for the first time yesterday. I will not be following the program but good luck to ya'll ;)
  • Tough love... Suck it up. If you want to be better, then be better. It is that simple. There is no magic quote, no perfect line, no great speech that will get you moving. This is a battle between yourself and your willpower. Will it happen overnight? No. Can you do something each and every day to get yourself to that goal?…
  • Monday- bike + 60 min body weight (push ups, planks, dips, pull ups, hand stands) Tue- run + 23 min dumbbell (10-15 lbs Tabata) Wed- bike + 45 min physio ball Thur- run + 60 min body weight Fri- bike + 23 min dumbbell Sat- run + 45 min physio ball Sun- 60 min gentle yoga The goal is to swim 3 days a week but I usually…
  • Aaahhh gotcha. Getting under 200 is a huge accomplishment. I started at 226 and I'm at 170 now (6.5 months). Everyone's body is different. My weightloss slowed down in January but people that I started with continued with a steady loss. Just be careful not to cut corners. It will seriously set you back in the long run.
  • Aside from the standard? Diet, exercise, sleep? Not that I can think of. If you are lacking motivation, that is a different topic. Depending on how much you have to lose, 30lbs could be achievable. However, if you have 30 lbs left to lose, probably not. I'm down 55 with 25-30 ish left. I'll probably achieve this goal…
  • I'm down 55 with 25-30 ish to go. I think my problem is coming from poor expectations. When I started, losing 50 lbs sounded like a life changer. Then you lost 50 and realize you don't look anything like what you pictured/imagined. It is hard to keep trudging along. Setting goals outside of the number on the scale has been…
  • What exactly are you asking?
