Get your B12 levels tested. I am B12 deficient and noticed after I lost 20 lbs in 4 months and began having dizziness and trouble with my balance. They tested and my levels were low. I'm a pescetarian but don't eat fish often so basically a vegetarian.

I just started wondering that too. Good to know!
-
It's a very low calorie diet and not recommended. Much better to lose at a slower and more sustainable pace.

Reasonable portions, opt for lighter options, eat slowly and only when hungry, and be particularly cautious with dressing, peanut butter, and other extras that are calorie dense. Also if you're going camping I assume you'll be pretty active, so I wouldn't stress overly much about this. Try to enjoy yourself!

Graze is great! A lot of fun snack options and easy to customize.

No. That is, not any more lazy than the general population. You may have some people who just aren't interested in losing weight but are productive in other areas of life. I wouldn't call them lazy. Then there are some people who are trying to lose weight but haven't figured out their formula to do so. (Hint: it's CICO,…

OP may be gone but just wanted to say I appreciate all of the feedback since I struggle with hunger sometimes too.

I have another 10 lbs to go and my diary is open to friends. Feel free to add me.
-
Yes. Same here. I like to guess my weight before getting on the scale and I'm often right.
-
This is controlling behavior. Add me to the list of concerned people on this thread.

This is not directed to OP since his situation seems pretty clear, but in general I wanted to comment: I lived in a building with extremely thin floors/walls for years and do not advocate this technique unless you've tried everything else. It works because it startles people but being startled is fundamentally unpleasant.…

I would talk to your neighbors or, if you're embarrassed, leave them a nice note. Something genuine and not snide. Assume they don't realize the sound is carrying and they would be quieter if they did. Give them the benefit of the doubt. I had to leave a note for upstairs neighbors once because they did it on a table or…

This is extremely irritating and happens all of the time! I wish MFP tried to match ingredients intelligently.

Nothing. I am more sensitive to some flavors (Doritos seem SO salty and regular soda is SO sweet) but I'll still consume them in smaller quantities.
-
I work in a small office so I avoid bringing strong smelling foods to work.

Anything that freezes well is my make ahead meal. My favorites are casseroles (let it cool and then put portions into ziplock bags) and pasta sauce (make the pasta, then after draining the pasta put the sauce into the pan to warm, once it's warm then add the pasta back).

I drink diet soda almost daily and don't find it affects weight loss. It's actually easier to regulate my calorie intake when I'm substituting a diet soda for a more caloric drink.

I like Isopure Zero Carb.

I recommend first paying attention to the scale each morning to see if the meds actually increase your appetite enough so you gain weight. You might not have any problems and there's no point in escalating your response unless you need to. If you end up gaining a few pounds (2-3?) then start logging all of your food on…

I'm never sure what processed means but can't you just bake your own bread? Or your own crackers? Keep any extra in the freezer and pull out when desired.

^^ Yes. Ask your doctor about starting on 150 XL with the intention of increasing once your side effects stabilize. Or take a lower dose SR.

That man is a creep and also rude. He was evaluating your attractiveness - not your health. Which means your relative was sitting around going, "you know @neldabg was hotter when she had a few more pounds on her". So icky. Everyone approaches weight loss from their own perspective. Someone who is chronically heavy tends to…

I find the fluctuations comforting. If I weigh in 4 lbs higher then I know I couldn't have eaten that many calories in a day and it's likely water weight. As everyone else said, first thing in the morning I use the toilet, strip off anything I slept in, and weigh myself.
-
Are you eating back all of your exercise calories? Sometimes burns can be inaccurate. If you're eating them back then consider trying without eating them back or only eating 50% back.

There's another thread someone posted about having a husband who was a picky eater. You should check it out. A good tip is that eating the same thing is unimportant - it's spending time together that is important. So each make your own food and store/freeze leftovers. You can then reheat leftovers as necessary. I can't…

When you say you're measuring your food does that mean weighing it?
-
Weigh your food. Remember water weight can fluctuate by 3-7 lbs easily. Commit to this with a loss rate of 0.5 lbs/week so even if you're just looking to lose 2 lbs you're in for at least a month. Did I mention to weigh your food? Also eat more. There's no reason to try to push yourself to lose really fast. Let MFP…

The only special thing I do is sign on to MFP every day and weigh/log my food. Otherwise, exercise is whatever I feel like (walking, Pilates, etc.) when I feel like doing it. I eat treats every day. I eat carbs every day. I make my food as delicious as possible. That's what works for me. I've lost 10 lbs in two months and…

I think many people who start will select the most aggressive plan so they lose as quickly as possible. MFP automatically goes no lower than 1,200 for women, which is why people who don't have as much to lose will post saying that's their daily allotment. OP, adjust your plan so it's less aggressive. You have less to lose.…
