my tamoko etchings that pertain to me and my journey through life and I am happy with them and have never received a bad compliment yet. I received my tamoko just a couple of years ago and to this day feel very fortunate to have had two great NZ artists adorn my skin with their expertise.

In NZ we call them tamoko and they are worn with pride. For us it is more spiritual and cultural. Wahine (Women) used to wear them on their chins and men, well, even now sometimes they have them over their faces and bodies and many indigenous folk and other nationalities (Robbie Williams to name just one other) have them.…

When you grow up in a houseful of lean mean athletic machines as in my family and me being the only one that didn't quite fit the mould (although I was never overweight but was always considered less lean than the rest of them) - yup, I've heaps of issues about this. Was called {"fatso" as well by people that should have…

do you own a slow cooker? They are my all time favourite types of equipment in my kitchen these days... I can put on some lamb/beef - flavour it up with salt and pepper and either fresh herbs - put it on slow for the whole day - the meat is ever so tender and tasty - all you need do is steam from green vegetables and…

throw the scales away! Get out the tape measure - measure bust, waist, hips, thigh, upper arm.... once per week! Truly - I have been over scales for some time now - fickle darned things! The tape measure never lies and it so much more accurate (if you know how to use it correctly of course)!

add me in if you like... I am back again after a huge break away. :) :)

I stick with 3 meals per day usually - works for me. Kickstarted with a healthy and nutritious smoothie - then lunch with salad (chicken, protein (fish) or meat) and plenty of greens and reds (tomatoes and red bell peppers) - lil dressing - squeeze lemon; dins is again, fish or protein with either steamed greens or asian…

At my very largest and was so so sooo unhappy and had hypertension, a heart attack waiting to happen Then after some much needed soul searching, counselling, much self talk and getting motivated and on track I got back to where I once was (or almost). Have rejoined this group last week after a break of about 6 years or…

newbie (2nd time round) so feel free to add me in too. Number crunching and me don't work... well except for a tape measure! However, I am on this journey - an older, and fairly fit person and am stepping up the exercise plus the health coz 60 ain't that far away! Scary thought! Have about 10 kgs to lose but more…

oh Kyndra - what a life gal! Add me too. I am back at being the "newbie" here but was part of MFP many years ago when I weighed in at least 40 plus kilos heavier than I am now. I am in New Zealand hence the use of kgs. Can't get my head around lbs anymore - although there's 2.2 lbs to a kg so! When I look at a lb of butter…

btw Kaz, I'm an artist - became an adult student and was awarded a Dip in Social Work (L6) a few years back however, I don't wish to take up social work as a career...I am a SAH mum of 1 adopted boy (I have 4 stepkids all grown up)... Our 11 year old keeps us on our toes these days - and we wouldn't have it any other way.…

Me - I've just dropped in (first time I've been on MFP for oh about 6 years)! Add me if you like

Hi, recently added myself back in to MFP - was an avid user about 6 years ago - changed lots since then - and forgot what my login was so I am here as a newbie :) Gisborne is my hometown - Go Gissie! Sun is shining today and I should be out there nabbing some rays before the southerly hits us (again)! Well, there are now 3…
