If your workout facility has all the equipment needed, not really. As I mention, what you're doing is IMO good at this point and very similar in content/volume to most of the programs listed. Just do it consistently, movements in good form for 3-6 months and reevaluate

Some may have their own favorites, but what you posted is directionally similar to the beginner programs in the stickie. Good start IMO.

The bolded is a bit of an issue. To your question, look for a program that emphasizes coupound lifts, not some bro thing that has you standing in front of a mirror doing multuple sets of different forms of curls. Think squats, deadlifts, rows, pullups and presses. There is a stickie in this subforum with some ideas. Don't…

Unless you have months before the testing just follow any directions they give you and show up. Since you'll do a bike, treadmill, or some other form of exercise for the test eat like you normally woul prior to a fairly intense workout (i.e. most likely not right after a heavy meal.

Sorry you feel your mom did you wrong. There nothing in the OP to indicate the mom mistreated the poster in any way. The discussion is about a grown *kitten* adult calling their mother stupid for telling her the wrong calorie count on something, failing to take responsibility to check for themselves and then eating 3/4 of…

Nice progress. Some good ideas/progressions in this article: https://www.t-nation.com/training/anterior-core-training

Rough, but you're right, eyes go to that as soon as you scroll to the picture. Need the eyewash stand.

Congrats for starting an exercise program. To be honest, diet helps the most with abs. If you want to use the machines for a while, that's fine. If you thing about it though when you sit on some machine that is supposed to work the core, you are actually supporting the core with the bench of the machine. You will most…

People actually spend money on these, I rest my case:

You would think. I can't prove it, but I guarantee there is more than one person out there that tracks miles on an electric bike with some sort of traker/calorie counter, looks at the calories burned, declares victory, eats more and can't figure why they aren't losing weight.

Didn't see the statement where the mom tied her down and shoved cake in her mouth. Personal responsibility.

Unless the posted is younger than 7 she is responsible for what she puts in her mouth, including the calorie content if concerned about that, don't be blaming mommy. Also sitting down and eating 3/4 of something that has multiple servings when trying to drop weight? SMH From the link posted: "Luscious layers of delicate…

Landmine press is easier on the shoulder joint than conventional barbell or dumbbells.

FMS is Grey Cook's Functional Movement Systems. Believe it started as Functional Movement Screen (which is still a part of the more overall FMS). https://www.functionalmovement.com/ Believe the Screening test is used at major professional sports combines and by major college sports teams to help identify issues and tailor…

The facility is in Indy. I live about a 3 hour drive away. Go over 3-4 times a year, get an evaluation of my movement patterns, correctives as needed to work on at home. Go into the training area and check my exercise form, get some coaching.

I couldn't imagine a 30 minute trainer led abs session. Doesn't seem very productive.

There is a candy dish (usually has fun size candy bars) on a small table in the center of the work area I share with 8 people. The dish was empty and one of the managers came by and dumped some candy in it. A guy and girl I work with literally jumped up and dove at the dish trying to get there first (this is in an office…

If both you and the building owner don't want the stuff around, why not pitch it.

I've had the opportunity to work with a 20 + year physical therapist who is also a Certified strength and conditioning specialist. Former amateur bodybuilder/powerlifter and partner in a nationally known training facility. Gold standard for me.

Don't eat anything at work that you don't bring with you. Can you workout in the morning?

Thanks for all the comments/suggestions. I talked to the doctor. Going off the statins and really upping my diet game. I'm not substantially off based on the calculator from being able to get by without them. I have my annual physical in 6 months, going to reevaluate then.

Yep personal responsibility. You say you hate feeling hungry. It's up to you (maybe with some counseling if needed) to realize your feeling isn't actual hunger. Congrats on your weight loss Best wishes.

Your life is probably better without them.

An imaginary condition that occurs with lack of personal accountability. In very rare cases could be caused by a medical issue, but not likely.

Great job on the weight loss. You may want to up your activity with the gym or whatever for general health without putting pressure on yourself by making it a weight loss activity.
