  • Hiya, I logged consistently for 3 years, lost 103lbs in 18 months and maintained for 2 years. I reached 1000 days logged, kept logging the good, “the bad and the ugly” as I liked to say, I realised I was often at maintenance or just over. I wanted to lose some more but was very happy with my progress so I got comfortable…
  • Good for you! And from one nurse to another, love your T-shirt!
  • Okay moving on from my recent success of rescuing my DH’s car from a locked car park by sliding under a gate (8in gap), DH thought of a new way to utilise my smaller size (lost 100lbs). Yesterday I spent the afternoon re-felting the shed roof! The leaking shed with potentially rotten planks as I’m the lightest and least…
  • The other day my other half’s car was looked in his works depot. He asked me to slide under the 6ft gate to unlock it for him, I thought I’m never gonna fit but I did it easily, would never have been able to do this before losing weight. Felt very mission impossible lol, it’s made me smile all day
  • 1010 days as of now
  • My aunts said to me, you’re looking good still, so you’ve kept the weight off then? Before saying as leaving keep looking good. I lost most of my weight over a year ago, maybe I’m a bit sensitive as not used to having weight talked about like that, or maybe it was rude, coz god dammit Ive always looked good lol, I’m just a…
  • Logged 1000 days today!, none of them perfect but more good than bad, logged regardless. Lost 103lbs, now for final push, got too comfortable, want to lose 30-40lb more, here’s to the next 1000 days. Never committed so long to healthy lifestyle before, kinda proud of myself 😊
  • Wow, just wow!
  • Lol thanks for this, yay me, I’m a runner! 🏃🏽‍♀️
  • Today I felt like a runner. I was doing C25K on a treadmill in January and got to week 5 then broke my toe. I started back week 1 today but running outside in hilly neighbourhood, and I loved it, wanted to keep running on walk breaks and hardly broke a sweat. I was passed by other runners and felt a sense of belonging. I’m…
  • Starting C25K again tomorrow. Started in January then broke my toe at week 4 (stubbed toe on puppy crate). Since then life been hectic with new puppy, staying active but not been able to get to gym so decided gonna start C25K from the start running outside this time. Should be able to fit in 30 minutes walk/run when other…
  • I’ve got a new puppy and have had lots of candid pictures taken of me with her, I’m still anxious having photo taken but am pleased with most of pictures, just see me so happy with pup pup and she looks at me adoringly lol. Also for ages when seeing pictures I never recognised the new me (103lbs different), expected to see…
  • My mum gave me some clothes that she didn’t want, some black skinny jeans size 12 (UK) and a size 10 jumper. She’s a 14 in trousers and bought the 12 as sales lady said how great she looked, but she couldn’t eat in them! She said maybe I can give them to a friend! the trousers not only fit me but are loose in the waist and…
  • Yeah I get this at times too but interestingly I had this the most when I first gained weight at university, when I came home to visit I got a lot of “you look well”, so when I hear it now I think it means I gained weight, guess my brain not caught up with body changes, and I’m used to assuming a negative body comment than…
  • Apparently so. I think it’s because he shocked I could lose the weight, so just have been due to either extreme.
  • I’ve had “what have you done to your face?” Loudly by a work colleague (ps found cheek bones), “you’ve lost weight, you’ve not got cancer have you” said bluntly and not with concern from a medical colleague, when I replied no he said in a happy tone, so have you been doing CrossFit? Some people!, most have been positive…
  • She sure will! 3 days until I can take her out for a walk, can’t wait, she’s currently 17lbs so I’m getting lots of strength training in carrying her when out! She’s so adorable x
  • I miss the gym! I have an 11 week old gorgeous German shepherd puppy who needs lots or attention right now, had her 3 weeks and managed gym once. I’ve been on the puppy diet and lost 5 lbs as no time to eat much lol. Hoping to fit in gym next week or so once can take puppy out for long walks (can gym when she sleeps). I…
  • Well done, I’m so pleased for you and inspired by you, your dedication and determination is awe inspiring, so chuffed for you!
  • I did a 9am high intensity class, modified (cross trainer as can’t run on injured foot) gym workout for an hour then a 2nd class of core training with a killer instructor! And I didn’t die lol. I have never been fit enough to work out for 3 hours before, ever! And earlier in the week I was bummed out as toe injury halted…
  • Well done you, so inspiring! I was up to 3 min runs and have now broken a toe! In two months time I hope to be able to catch you lol, that’s a good pace you got going 😁
  • I’m the same, 12 hr shifts as hospital nurse practitioner, when I did 8 or 10 hour shifts I’d fit in a 50 minute exercise dvd before work, now work, eat, commute and sleep is all I got. I joined a local gym this year and gone on my days off, normally a class then walk/run on treadmill. I’m normally there 1.5-2hrs but make…
  • Thanks, bless you x
  • Logged 900 days. Plus week 5 of gym 3-4 times a week doing classes and C25K, ran 3 mins at a time today, and felt good 😁
  • I joined a gym this week and signed up for classes. I’ve lost weight mainly through CICO and walking with the odd fitness DVD. Today I did a circuit training class. The instructor said he wanted us to do a handstand (by reverse walking up the wall) and hold, I stood in shock thinking never gonna happen. Well I only bloody…
  • I deep cleaned the bedrooms and bathrooms today for 6 hours, enjoyed it (not new, I’m Monica when I have the time) and my Fitbit total burn was 4099 cals. I don’t think I’ve ever burnt that much since having my Fitbit! Also before I lost weight I’d have to stop and rest a lot, apart from dashing out to get Christmas turkey…
  • That you won’t recognise yourself in photos, I went on a works christmas do last week and when we shared photos at work I was like “Where’s Wally?”
  • Professional exams for certifications are extremely stressful - I still have moments when I relive those days, very glad it was in the past. Kudos for not letting it derail your weight goals! [/quote] Thanks rcreynol3090 for your kind words, I’ve not let my pass sink in yet, very stressful but glad it’s finally over 😂
