I stuck with my plan foods for 2 weeks, added light exercise and reduced my cholesterol/LDL/Tri and raised my HDL.
Since my mother died of heart disease I was quite pleased I changed my ratio from 5.6 to 3.633 -
Most recent NSV: Back over 102+ down. Have hit 100-105 a few times recently, but steadily trending down while building a ton of muscle along the way. Hopefully I'll be posting here this month about hitting 106lbs down, my halfway point.20

My sister-in-law, who I hadn't seen in 2 weeks, commented that my face looks thinner already. She works at the gym I go to so she may just be trying to help keep me motivated but I'll take it!14

I bought a pair of size 12 skinny jeans a few months ago. I think they're probably closer to size 10's. They were about 5 inches from me being able to button or zip them up.
I had to suck it in and they make me have serious muffin top, but I got those damn things on. Buttoned AND zipped! I started in tight size 18s (july 2018)
Also... I started out wearing size XL in men's t-shirts. Some of them were actually tight on me. I'm now down to wearing size medium! WOO!20 -

Nice! I always have to size up on skinny jeans because I got dem big calves, so they are definitely hard to fit into. (:5 -
Today marks 1 year or rather 365 days of minimal 10K steps daily. No Garmin badge for that though. I'll keep going of course; 500 is a nice number too :-)23

I stayed on track on a Sunday. Now if I can just get Saturday in line, too!18

Went snowshoeing over the weekend. I kept having to pull my hiking pants up. Although I am now the same weight (minus 4 lbs) as when I bought them, and I bought them lose for the purpose of being able to layer thermals underneath, I do not remember them being THIS loose. I'm calling it a win, lol!
Also, at the prodding of my hubby who keeps bugging my to count my calories again, today starts day 1 of counting again tp shake off the last 10 lbs.
He tells me: " It works so well, and really helped me stay accountable too. I was wrong when I said it was dumb earlier. It's really the best way to lose weight." I love it, lol.21 -
I got stopped dead in my tracks today at work, "Hey, I hope you don't get offended, but I just wanted to let you know you look good. I've noticed you've lost some weight. You look great!" *blushes*25

Some day I am going to walk away from a 30 year career in the insurance industry because I absolutely detest the work.....which is life sucking.... BUT for today, I am relishing that for the past 3 years instead of eating myself into oblivion to ease the stress..... I am powerful and resolved that it shall NOT cause that self harm again. Now...if I could just get rid of this eye twitch.... LOL.30

A week or two (okay 2) of terrible snacking and I hit my “gotta get on this number” this morning. Took a look at today’s schedule and there’s not a lot of gym time available, so got up and did a quick 25 min Fitness Blender cardio workout, and am squeezing in a short gym session now between activities. Logged all my food so far today and skipped the snacks. Ready to nip this in the bud instead of getting depressed and not pulling out of it until 10lbs from now.17

Set a pb of 4.28km in 30 minutes on my jog this morning I'm hoping that by the end of the year I will be able to jog 5km in 30 minutes. I'm quietly confident that I will do it, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. I'm enjoying all these little wins too much 😁14

I'm slim enough to rather tightly fit into pants with a 32" waist. I ended up buying them because at the rate things are going, I'll probably be able to comfortably fit in them within a few months and they were on sale for a very good price (yay REI sales).11

I bought new activewear on the weekend - one full size down, both pants AND tops, and they aren't tight on me! YAAAAY! I wore the new activewear for my PT session and my PT commented how awesome I am looking. He said "Finally you've bought smaller gym stuff. I was going to tell you to do that because the other tops you;ve been wearing are far too big! And if you're pulling up your gym pants - THEY'RE TOO BIG!". Talk about stroking my ego!
And this morning, I tried on an old pair of size 16 jeans, because my size 18's are swimming on me. I was convinced the jeans would be too tight. NOPE! Fits perfectly - they are not snug one-iota! I can see these jeans being replaced by a smaller pair in the not-too-long future!
This weekend I will be going through my closest and getting rid of anything size 18 and over. This will be showing me I can never return to my heaviest weight ever! I have to help my brain understand that I am getting smaller.23 -
I went to my first ever spin class. I don’t think it’s for me, I really didn’t enjoy it. And it was a serious struggle. After about 10 minutes I told myself I was going to leave at 15 minutes. When 15 minutes rolled around, I didn’t want to be THAT person, so I stay (the instructor had already called me out for never being there before, in a polite way, and then she came over and properly adjusted my bike and gave me some pointers). After 20 minutes, I still wanted to leave but was afraid to be THAT person. Then people started to leave, I’m guessing because they had to get to work, so I was gonna leave too, but at that point, I figured it was almost over.
I STAYED the whole 40 minutes! I didn’t really enjoy it and idk if I’ll be back, but I did it.47 -
Well done for 'stickabiity' In my view, it's worth trying lots of different forms of exercise until you find something you do enjoy - more chance of keeping it going beyond actual weightloss and incorporating the activity in your life.8

I think I've mentioned on this thread before how I work at a bank and we bake fresh cookies for our clients every day via an Otis Spunkmeyer (that jerk) mini oven. I was running late this morning and did not get breakfast. I have oatmeal at my desk but it's getting warmer and oatmeal sounds terrible. I'm starving. I went up to get a cookie and one of the ladies I work with said - Kris do you really want that cookie. She was right I didn't. I immediately went to my desk and got the oatmeal. It's an NSV with an assist from a co-worker who knows how hard I've been working. It takes a village people...38

Feeling more confident with going outside and being around people thanks to my daily morning walks in the sunrise. Every morning I want to keep this up to fight off the anxiety so when summer comes I can go on walks during the day when the sun is up and about. Also worked up the courage to get an eye exam and finally getting new glasses in a couple weeks after 5 years. First time really talking to strangers in a long time.42

In celebration, here is the first actual photo of me I'm posting on this account, a picture of me wearing the dress.
Edit: bonus cat included.
Edit edit: forgot to mention that this dress is so special because it's the only piece of "skinny" clothing that I kept. I couldn't bear to get rid of it, both because it was so pretty but also because it may have been the last remnant of hope that I could lose the weight again.
Better late than never, right??
1. Love the bonus cat.
2. That dress is adorable. I'd wear it.
3. You are a cutie pie!
(Told you I was going to stalk it)2 -
I went to a musical event on Saturday with my college friends. I saw a friend that I haven't seen in 18 years and she didn't recognize me. I weigh about 50 lbs less than the last time I saw her.11

Aww, thank you. (:
I almost gave you the link to it but then I realized it wasn't actually that far back, haha. I'm wearing that dress today, actually (with a sweater because it is snowraining outside).6 -
I usually wear my baggy sweatshirts to the gym as I tend to be more cold than hot even when sweating. And I go workout and I've noticed that the guys working out know where I am, but no one says anything. But yesterday I switched to a long sleeve tshirt as I started getting warm, and one of the bodybuilders stopped and said hi. I had to laugh.9

Making progress, albeit slowly. Today's NSV are cumulative losses in inches: 1.5 off my chest, 1.5 off my waist, and 4.25 off my hips. The scale is down 18 lbs, too, but it's the inches that are satisfying to see shrink!11

Had a substitute instructor in my Grit class last night. The last time she subbed was late last summer, but she remembered me and commented on how much progress I've made in class and asked me how much weight I've lost.23

My mum gave me some clothes that she didn’t want, some black skinny jeans size 12 (UK) and a size 10 jumper. She’s a 14 in trousers and bought the 12 as sales lady said how great she looked, but she couldn’t eat in them! She said maybe I can give them to a friend! the trousers not only fit me but are loose in the waist and top fit perfect. This NSV is mum always commented about my weight and I’ve always been bigger than her, she put me on first diet aged 8. It mean seen petty but I love that I’m skinnier and fitter than her now, plus I get given clothes now lol31

Last two nights I finished my calories for the day at dinner. A bit later I wasn’t really hungry but I’m used to munching after dinner. Instead, I came on here and read some of the forum threads, which gave me enough resolve not to go over my calorie goal because of mindless habit.32

There's this one fitted sweater dress that I've kept for perhaps 15 years hoping it would fit someday. Tried it on today to see how far away it is. It FIT! And I hated the style LOL! 15 years and I hated it Into the give away pile it went!28
