Thank you for your encouragement! Ignore the shoes. Those are my “fixing to stand four hours behind the front desk at the opening party” shoes.
You look beautiful! If I saw you I would think you were a lean and fit lady who was quite happy and content with herself! I hope the happy part is true now more than last go round, because you look great.
P.S. I can't see your shoes!6 -
I gave away a belt today that I used to wear, because now even the tightest notch is too loose for me.
My BMI is now under 40.25 -
@springlering62, you look fantastic!4

Have been feeling "unmotivated" lately. Then I ran across an old pair of shorts that I thought fit well at the time. Compared to today's shorts I can really see my progress. Bottom pair is a 14. Top pair is a 4. 60 pounds lost forever and 18 months of maintenance.

I didn't need a seat belt extended on my flight last week.24

Thanks for this picture. I needed it this morning I have lost 50 lbs in the past 11 months. I wear a size 6 down from a tight 14. Need to lose another 6 lbs to be a healthy BMI. I have been contemplating about stopping here and not to lose the last 10 lbs that I had planned on. Found a pair of jeans on the clearance rack, size 4. I did buy them but they give me to much of a muffin top. After seeing your picture I will get the last 10 off and hopefully banish the muffin!14 -

DownsizingSam88 wrote: »This morning I done my first ever 5km jog! I was hoping to get it done in under 45 minutes. I know I can do 4km in half an hour, but I'm usually pushing myself a bit to get it done. I didn't want to push myself this morning, I just wanted to see how long it would take me to get to 5km. This morning the 4km only took me 31.something minutes, I was pretty stoked with that because I didn't feel like I was pushing myself as much as I usually would to get to that 4km in 30. And the whole 5km took me 37.49 minutes. Smashed my goal of under 45! Feeling very accomplished and proud today.
This is brilliant!! Well done!!!
Thank you 😁0 -
So we spent a good chunk of the weekend in the car. My brother in law had his 40th birthday party so we left home Saturday morning, *AFTER* I squeezed in a jog (this is a NSV in itself) stopped at a town about half way and caught up with my best friend and her fiance for lunch. Saturday was his birthday, so it was so good to get to catch up with them. I caught up with the bestie the Friday before when we were in town getting our car serviced, but we hadn't seen her fiance since Christmas time. Then we headed off again to my sister and brother in laws place for the party. I got a lot of comments from my family about how baggy my jeans are getting, even with a belt. I think it's time to officially retire my cowgirl tuffs 😁 (this is bittersweet since they're like my favourite pair of jeans and at over $150 a pair, in not rushing out to get a new pair for a while)
So yesterday we spent a bit of time with the family before coming home (it's about an 8 hour drive) We got home about 6. I got changed once we got home and unpacked and headed off on a steady 5km jog. I only just hit the target on my galaxy watch of 6000 steps last night(I usually hit 12000+ but haven't changed the target because I like hitting my target before lunchtime, makes me feel accomplished- its a mind trick I know). I turned it off when we were riding the horses (always do because I feel like I'm being fraudulent with my steps if I haven't actually walked them) and didn't turn it back on until we got home because I didn't want false steps.10 -
At this very moment, I am at Steak N Shake and I ordered a grilled chicken salad vs a burger. 😩22

I dont know how long it has been, but I have been without soda as well! And Monster energy drinks. For a while I was drinking around 3 a day and still felt like I wasnt going to make it through a shift.6 -
I went to the movies yesterday and for the first time my leg wasn’t squished up against the recline button! Normally the second I sit down my leg hits it and the chair starts to recline. It was so exciting!15

Feeling my stomach getting just a little tighter after my workouts the last couple weeks!11

The tight black pants that I have been wearing to work are definitely getting loose now.12

That's amazing, but I'm also jealous that you have a Mexican buffet nearby. I've never even conceptualized a Mexican buffet before this, and now want to go.
I am also in awe of this holy grail called a Mexican Buffet. I have a planned indulgent week in July, I must find one of these!!!!3 -
Went to a birthday party Saturday and didn't wipe out my weekly deficit, only a little bit of it What helped was banking some extra calories the week before and a longer than usual cardio workout Saturday morning. That birthday cake was GOOOD!15

Tried on my summer dresses today to motivate.
The good: my size lg fit me in the right way and I know it will look even better as I progress.
The good/sad: My dress with pockets (gave dress!) is too big. 😭13 -
My spring jacket was way too big. I remember one year having to wear it with a sweatshirt all winter because all my winter coats were too small and I didn't want to invest in one. Now I could probably fit a whole winter jacket under it, lol.11

Bought white jeans in a size 6. Usually wear a 4 now, but by force of habit I size up in white pants although my cellulite isn’t nearly as visible as it was last year.
And I’m posting again!! I had an issue for weeks where my posts showed up under an old username. Congrats to everyone’s nsv ‘s10 -
I just wrote this on my status and wanted to share to the wider MFP community....
3 months on MFP! WOW!
So, what have I achieved? A LOT!
* Continuous logging of ALL my meals and managing to keep somewhere between 1220-1600. Occasionally, I will go as high as 2000 net cal, and that is still in deficit. Increasing my protein has significantly helped reducing cravings at night. When I started, my protein intake was really low - sometime I'd onlu get a third of what I should. I changed that!
* My body is transforming in amazing ways - I can see muscles that I haven't seen in years; bones that disappeared under a layer of fat are visible again. I am getting smaller by the day. My face looks so different too - my eyes are bigger
* I have lost close to two clothes sizes - from a very tight size 18/loose-ish size 20 (Aus) to a perfect-fit size 16 (Aus). In some cases, I fit size 14 (Aus) pants :-D
* I have found my love of fitness again. I love the feel after a run, after weights, after hiking
* I can run/walk 3.7km in 30 mins. I can run for a FULL 3 mins TWICE and do 400m in each 3 min run! This one is a huge one for me!
* I do 50kg leg press! 5-0-k-g! Oh em geee! But I'm still *kitten* at lunges...looool!
* I am beginning to love myself more and more. I have started to feel my body as it was pre-children and it feels so nice. I've added self-care and this has been the winning ingredient for me
The best bit? Having wonderful and supportive friends here on MFP. You guys rock and I thank each one of you for all the motivation you have given me.
Here's to the next 3 months :-D42 -
@longkathleenann9291 Thank you. I also bought a couple pair of clearance shorts size 2 when I was 5-6 pounds smaller. (Lots of muffin popping out of those right now). Haven't been motivated to lose the holiday/vacation pounds until I found the old pair. Now I know I can and will drop it again.7

Last trip to my doctor this past week and my A1C levels have dropped. I was on the absolute border for Type 2 and I was able to reduce the levels in 3 months. A little scared motivation helped to push me.26

I feel your pain! I only made it a year in that soul-crushing business. It's also the reason I hit my highest weight of 330 (grabbing fast food in between appointments, office parties with LOTS of junk food, etc) I couldn't believe the weight that was lifted off my shoulders when I resigned!8 -
Oh! I forgot to mention my latest NSV- my "skinny" jeans are getting too loose! Time to treat myself to a new wardrobe! And this is just from a 10 lb weight loss! So excited to see what happens when I lose more!11

I’ve got a new puppy and have had lots of candid pictures taken of me with her, I’m still anxious having photo taken but am pleased with most of pictures, just see me so happy with pup pup and she looks at me adoringly lol.
Also for ages when seeing pictures I never recognised the new me (103lbs different), expected to see the bigger me. The other day my mum showed me some rare candid full body pictures on her camera still from 2015 when I was at my heaviest, (started losing 2016) and I was shocked and totally didn’t recognise me. I showed some work colleagues and my new boss (only seen slimmer me) was like “who’s that?” And when I said me she was like “no way!” Bizzare how your head takes ages to catch up with your personal image.17 -
You know how some guys can make their pecs dance? I realized this morning that I can do it too!

I was able to fit in an Adult Large life jacket at Volcano Bay (Universal Orlando's Water Theme Park) which are much more readily available and required for the fast river.17
