At my local grocery store they were giving away Royals t-shirts if you spent more than $100. The couple in front of me got 2 shirts (a lot of groceries). When I checked out the clerk said - I'm going to hook you up with a shirt, all I have is mediums but that should be fine for you. My first thought was - does he think I'm a medium? My second thought was is he saying that fully knowing I'm not a medium but he's trying to be nice? Or trying to be "friendly"? I decided to go with he thinks I'm a medium!! I took the shirt and it does fit, though not well. My hope is by the time it's warm enough to wear short sleeves it will fit.
Most recent NSV: Back over 102+ down. Have hit 100-105 a few times recently, but steadily trending down while building a ton of muscle along the way. Hopefully I'll be posting here this month about hitting 106lbs down, my halfway point.
My sister-in-law, who I hadn't seen in 2 weeks, commented that my face looks thinner already. She works at the gym I go to so she may just be trying to help keep me motivated but I'll take it!
I bought a pair of size 12 skinny jeans a few months ago. I think they're probably closer to size 10's. They were about 5 inches from me being able to button or zip them up.
I had to suck it in and they make me have serious muffin top, but I got those damn things on. Buttoned AND zipped! I started in tight size 18s (july 2018)
Also... I started out wearing size XL in men's t-shirts. Some of them were actually tight on me. I'm now down to wearing size medium! WOO!

Nice! I always have to size up on skinny jeans because I got dem big calves, so they are definitely hard to fit into. (:
Today marks 1 year or rather 365 days of minimal 10K steps daily. No Garmin badge for that though. I'll keep going of course; 500 is a nice number too :-)
Went snowshoeing over the weekend. I kept having to pull my hiking pants up. Although I am now the same weight (minus 4 lbs) as when I bought them, and I bought them lose for the purpose of being able to layer thermals underneath, I do not remember them being THIS loose. I'm calling it a win, lol!
Also, at the prodding of my hubby who keeps bugging my to count my calories again, today starts day 1 of counting again tp shake off the last 10 lbs.
He tells me: " It works so well, and really helped me stay accountable too. I was wrong when I said it was dumb earlier. It's really the best way to lose weight." I love it, lol.
I got stopped dead in my tracks today at work, "Hey, I hope you don't get offended, but I just wanted to let you know you look good. I've noticed you've lost some weight. You look great!" *blushes*
Some day I am going to walk away from a 30 year career in the insurance industry because I absolutely detest the work.....which is life sucking.... BUT for today, I am relishing that for the past 3 years instead of eating myself into oblivion to ease the stress..... I am powerful and resolved that it shall NOT cause that self harm again. Now...if I could just get rid of this eye twitch.... LOL.
A week or two (okay 2) of terrible snacking and I hit my “gotta get on this number” this morning. Took a look at today’s schedule and there’s not a lot of gym time available, so got up and did a quick 25 min Fitness Blender cardio workout, and am squeezing in a short gym session now between activities. Logged all my food so far today and skipped the snacks. Ready to nip this in the bud instead of getting depressed and not pulling out of it until 10lbs from now.
Set a pb of 4.28km in 30 minutes on my jog this morning I'm hoping that by the end of the year I will be able to jog 5km in 30 minutes. I'm quietly confident that I will do it, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. I'm enjoying all these little wins too much 😁
I'm slim enough to rather tightly fit into pants with a 32" waist. I ended up buying them because at the rate things are going, I'll probably be able to comfortably fit in them within a few months and they were on sale for a very good price (yay REI sales).
I bought new activewear on the weekend - one full size down, both pants AND tops, and they aren't tight on me! YAAAAY! I wore the new activewear for my PT session and my PT commented how awesome I am looking. He said "Finally you've bought smaller gym stuff. I was going to tell you to do that because the other tops you;ve been wearing are far too big! And if you're pulling up your gym pants - THEY'RE TOO BIG!". Talk about stroking my ego!
And this morning, I tried on an old pair of size 16 jeans, because my size 18's are swimming on me. I was convinced the jeans would be too tight. NOPE! Fits perfectly - they are not snug one-iota! I can see these jeans being replaced by a smaller pair in the not-too-long future!
This weekend I will be going through my closest and getting rid of anything size 18 and over. This will be showing me I can never return to my heaviest weight ever! I have to help my brain understand that I am getting smaller.
I went to my first ever spin class. I don’t think it’s for me, I really didn’t enjoy it. And it was a serious struggle. After about 10 minutes I told myself I was going to leave at 15 minutes. When 15 minutes rolled around, I didn’t want to be THAT person, so I stay (the instructor had already called me out for never being there before, in a polite way, and then she came over and properly adjusted my bike and gave me some pointers). After 20 minutes, I still wanted to leave but was afraid to be THAT person. Then people started to leave, I’m guessing because they had to get to work, so I was gonna leave too, but at that point, I figured it was almost over.
I STAYED the whole 40 minutes! I didn’t really enjoy it and idk if I’ll be back, but I did it.
Well done for 'stickabiity' In my view, it's worth trying lots of different forms of exercise until you find something you do enjoy - more chance of keeping it going beyond actual weightloss and incorporating the activity in your life.

Since my mother died of heart disease I was quite pleased I changed my ratio from 5.6 to 3.6
Awesome. Keep it up.
Truly something I'd like to achieve. Way to go!
I love that feeling, when you go down another notch on the old belt.
Congratulations.
