Yes my style has changed too with my weight loss. I bought two fitted sleeveless sheath dresses for Christmas parties. I used to shop at JJill for loose dresses with empire waistlines. JJill is a store that caters to women my age (50) but even their extra small sizes are getting too loose. Yep I am vain!
And today I went jogging for half an hour. I have more strength and stamina now.
Just noticed what I thought was a fat bulge on my upper thigh and then realized it was muscle! I think that’s from yoga.

Doing my first 1000 calorie workout by Fitness Blender without stopping! It's been a few years since I did one- and felt pretty good when I was finished22

Moved a belt hole (without crushing my bladder or rupturing my effing spleen)33

Dinner with friends today. Even with my winter coat on they noticed my weight loss right away24

I cleaned and organized my closet. I have completely tossed out awful, stained or ripped clothes, tried on every single piece of clothing and if it wasn't flattering or too big, it got thrown into a pile to try to sell on facebook. Everything that is staying has been organized in the closet as far as sizes... and pants have been folded into stacks according to their size.
This is huge for me because I am throwing away everything that is my safety. If I gain, I will have NO clothes to wear because I'm refusing to buy another larger size up. I was also going to buy new work dress pants with holiday money I received.. but now that everything is organized, I was pleasantly surprised that I have plenty of pants to get me down at least 4 more sizes. At 5 more sizes, I will be near or close to goal **fingers crossed** and I'll have to then buy my forever clothes!33 -
I deep cleaned the bedrooms and bathrooms today for 6 hours, enjoyed it (not new, I’m Monica when I have the time) and my Fitbit total burn was 4099 cals. I don’t think I’ve ever burnt that much since having my Fitbit! Also before I lost weight I’d have to stop and rest a lot, apart from dashing out to get Christmas turkey I cleaned non stop and still have energy (just lol). I was planning on joining a gym new year, I may just clean for a win win 👍20

Went climbing with my brother, SIL, Husband, and kids today—so I actually got to climb myself in the adult section for the first time today. I made it up all the auto belay routes and was still climbing far after everyone else’s wrists/hands gave out. SIL said she was impressed at seeing my back muscles work while I was climbing! Super excited to take their belaying course with my husband later this week so I can belay the kids and open up a whole lot more of the gym. Additional NSV is having an active holiday outing with my whole family!25

Today is my 92nd consecutive day of logging food. Logging my food has made all the difference.32

Bought a nice dress very cheaply on an outlet sale. As it was totally busy I couldn't be bothered trying it on. Kinda scary taking the smallest size but I tried it at home and it fit. According to my husband I look absolutely stunning and sexy in it. He could not take his eyes off me26

Amen to that insight. I started out doing lazy keto, but not logging my food. Hit a plateau after losing 20 pounds. Was complaining to a friend. She said to me "Are you logging your food?" She encouraged me to use MFP or something similar. That did the trick - lost another 25 and have maintained a 45 pound loss for a year.23 -
When I sit in my car my butt no longer touches the edge of the seat. I’m finding myself having to scoot over as my usual pattern is butt all the way to the side. Feels so weird...in a good way19

As of this morning, I reached the 1st of 10 milestones on my Happy Scale app. 12.5% to my goal.

1) For the first time in a couple of months, I made it to the gym. Yeah, I know, so what? Well, I only like going to the gym early in the morning (5am-ish) because I hate being around loads of people. I've been struggling with the fatigue side on an auto-immune issue I have, so to have made it to the gym in itself is actually a major achievement right now. I've been waking up, feeling dreadful so hit the "off" button on the alarm and ignored it all.
2) Even better, I was expecting to have to reduce the weights significantly and found that I could still life everything that I could the last time I went. It felt amazing and I am planning to return in the morning (yes, I know, Christmas Day, but I'll be there and back before anyone notices that I've gone).
3) My husband and I cried today over a triple-chocolate muffin. Not because we ate it but because we didn't. We gave (after asking if he'd like it first) it away to a homeless person who was very appreciative of it. Both my husband and I were upset because people should not be homeless in 2018 in the UK. It's disgraceful.31 -
Not eating too much on Christmas day. Actually I think I ate more calories (healthy food though) on Christmas eve15

Just got size 32 pants and medium shirts for a gift and they fit! Feels great starting from 46 pants and 3X shirts (and tight ones at that).31

My niece made Buckeyes for today. I love them. But I ate 1... and I was fine with that! It seemed so sweet and I really didn't crave more. Usually I eat 5 or 6 and feel ill.21

I took 4 brownie bites out of the box to eat, then thought better of it and put two of them back29

I am a Type 2 Diabetic and have been for 18 years. I saw my primary care Dr. on 12/20/2018. She was amazed my AC1 is continuing to drop it is now 6.1 in January I was almost at 12%. My total chol number is 125, the hated tryglycerides that use to be close to 300 are at 139. So yes losing 79 pounds since May has been huge. But the amazing part has been getting a better footing on many different blood numbers that were going from bad to worse. I am off a number of meds now. And being told, everything is so good, come back in 6 months. What a feeling that is. My goal for 2019 is to take off the other 51 pounds to get to a healthy BMI.46

WOW! This is incredible! I always find it incredible how so many ailments can be reversed or improved with simple losing weight and eating better. Amazing job, you are are inspiration.10 -
My Christmas NSV was handing out all of the gifts and loading the dishwasher and sitting on the floor and having candid photos taken by family members and never once stopping to think "oh no I wonder how I look doing this?" That used to be a real problem for me and I was constantly fidgeting with my clothes or outright avoiding things (like passing out the presents to everyone) because I didn't want people looking at my body.31

Me too (not all healthy) but last night (Christmas eve) my husband and I took a walk of several miles looking at Christmas lights in surrounding neighborhoods and we were both laughing that we had tons of extra energy hours later than usual because of the extra food. For some reason it cracked me up to realize oh, I feel like running through the streets at 11 pm and it's because I ate a huge meal of Chinese food and normally wouldn't eat so much.14 -
My husband didn't have to worry about whether or not things would fit. He got me things, and they fit. That is the best and most novel experience ever. We never forget the one year he bought me an amazing jacket only to have it be too small... and when we went to exchange it at the store, they didn't carry it in a size I could fit into. That scarred him from buying me clothing for a number of years.
But now... he can get me things without that fear. Yeah, some things may or may not fit right, but the risk is far smaller.
It was also great to have pictures taken of me and not cringe. I didn't hide from the Christmas photos!
I ate until I hurt. It was glorious. Tomorrow, will be another day and I don't / won't worry what I may have gained. It was worth it.
All the yum yums. But I had so much... I am quite honestly done with super rich food. XD26 -
@dhiammarath - know what you mean about being done with the rich food - today I am craving a salad! My nsv is that yesterday my daughter and I joined friends in the village to swim in the sea (in front of 100s of spectators) wearing top hat, and gold sequinned tail coats over our swimming costumes with fishnet tights. She was gorgeous as ever but I didn't look a complete sight and got lots of compliments. I had fun and would never have done that in the last 20 years! The biggest nsv for me is that when doing it I really didn't think or care how I looked, didn't even cross my mind. No more seeking out cameras so I could avoid them!24

I left my husband 8 months ago and moved out of state to a small town where I had a friend.
I wasn't looking forward to Christmas, thinking I would miss the 20 years of spending the holiday with his family.
I decided to invite my friend and some of my new neighbors over for a full Christmas dinner, total of 11 people.
I pulled out my grandmother's silver platters, set a beautiful table and had a wonderful evening.
After everyone left and the house was cleaned, I sat on the floor in front of the fireplace and opened the gifts that my family had mailed to me.
It was a perfect way to spend my first Christmas on my own.
I am so blessed.

When getting ready for Mass on Christmas Day, I had to put away my big boy belt because it ni longer “fit” and grab an old belt that I hadn’t used in a while. This old belt is now my “go to belt.”25

@motivatedmartha that sounds lovely!! I am glad you did that without reservation!! 😁4

I ran 6.08 miles in 60 minutes today, thus meeting my running goal... it’s time to find a new one!
Paired with that, I hit my goal and my friend I told about it was extremely supportive and he was proud of me as well, which felt really good.26 -

So inspiring! My dad, sister, uncle, and aunt have type 2 diabetes and my two brothers are prediabetes. I dropped from prediabetes to normal A1C by dropping down to a normal BMI. And your post reminds me that even if I can’t beat genetics I can still take actions that improve my health.16 -

Realized I like good chocolate but more than one and it doesn’t like me. Too much rich food and bythis morning I have a food hangover. But NSV is that while food hasn’t been on point, I’ve woken up to get to the gym every morning (except Christmas, which I took as a rest day) to get home by breakfast. So the TOM + holiday bloat aren’t worrying me as they normally would. Ready to get back to normal!16
