I ordered a new winter coat. Then I found one I had from years ago - one that never fit me - I had bought it for my daughter. But, she didn't like it. Every time I tried it on, the sleeves were too tight and I couldn't zip it.
Flash forward to after spending over 100 dollars on a new coat - the one I had in my closet - FITS ! If I had only known, I wouldn't have bought another. (but the new one is NICE, too - a Christmas present !!!)
I never figured the one from years ago would fit me. I'm ECSTATIC ! I guess my arms got thinner. LOL.

Went to the local Big and Tall store to get a smaller size jeans. Had trouble finding my size as they barely carry them on the smaller size for B&Tall store. Couldn't find a belt because they only carry larger sizes. So I could easily find jeans and belts in a normal store soon.
Will still need to hit the Big and Tall store for socks (size 16) and dress shirts as my long arms drag on the floor as I walk.35 -
This morning I wore my ski jacket to walk to work as it's getting cooler. I always used to button the elasticated snow skirt up inside it. as it stopped the cold wind getting in. The elastic was so slack around me that the wind kept getting in.27

Ran 30 minutes non-stop this morning. It's about my 10th run since getting back at it after being off for 3 years so happy to be back at it.33

This is one of my favorite NSVs. It's important to keep in mind the ultimate goal, but it's probably more important to not let it run your life and realize that you can take a few days off now and then.16 -
my "small" pants are loosening up in the waist23

I actually packed away all of my maternity and "in between" clothing and got back out my pre- baby wardrobe. And I actually still look decent in those clothes.34

I made a low-calorie choice today at Chili's, which was important because one of my old favorites (the chicken crispers) is insane when it comes to calories. I feel much better than I would have had I had the other meal. I don't necessarily trust that the whole thing was only 430 calories, but it was definitely a lot better than a lot of the choices at Chili's.30

I drove past the coffee stand.
I really wanted a mocha.

I went clothes shopping and actually liked how things looked on me! I feel like I can fit back into clothing styles that seem more like "me" now when they just fit all wrong when I was a heavier.26

A small one from this morning: I stopped to get my morning coffee and the one parking spot left was only 3/4 available because the nice person in the next spot to the right couldn't park for kitten. So, I rolled into it and had to slide out of my car without hitting the car on my left..which meant I could only open my door about 1/3 of the way. That worked out, and then when I got back in (it's a lifted Jeep), I managed without having to swing the door open any more as I lifted myself up. Took longer to explain than to do, but I took a moment once I was settled back in my seat to appreciate the difference with the loss in inches.36

This morning, I logged my food from a social event last night even though I was convinced I'd gone over, and miracle of miracles, I stayed within budget AND stuck with logging even when I didn't want to!36

I can wear T-shirts without feeling like an overstuffed sausage.26

The instructor cancelled bootcamp yesterday afternoon due to some beautiful rain we received (most of the work is outdoors) so took myself off to the gym, but my card wasn't working. Came home and still put myself through a quick workout that had me panting and sweating.
Then this morning I knew the ground was going to be too wet to work one of my mares but I still got up and took my dog for a walk. I really need to start setting my alarms and getting up and 4:15 so I can fot both a walk and a ride in before work each morning.14 -
I just got through sitting on bleachers for an hour while my kids were at gymnastics. My bum is so sore! And my jeans didn’t even give me a severe case of sitting muffin top like they used to!24

My fat pants are a tiny bit loose31

I can now sit on the floor and then get up again (without a struggle).31

It looks like I now, fairly comfortably, fit into a 32" waist pants! I don't think I've done that since I was 19 (and at a healthy weight). I can also comfortably wear medium shirts/sweaters again! I realized earlier this week that a 36 was simply too big and also that I needed to get a few new belts.
edit: except for the one pair that I didn't try on - grumble. It's fine, odd given the other very similar pants that I tried on, but such is life. I'll exchange them on Monday.19 -
For the first time I took a selfie where I didn’t think my body looked hideous41 -
I stepped out of my comfort zone today and completed ParkRun for the first time. I was barely breathing by the end of it, but i did it!30

I dropped another point on the BMI scale, from 24 to 23. The way I look at it, I'm no longer 'barely' in the healthy range of the chart!30

I started trying to lose weight in November and mom saw me the other night and complimenting my butt being smaller. I recently had to get new panties and didn’t realize how big I needed so this was a surprise.18

my 2018 end of the year Facebook video popped up on my news feed. in watching it.. I was not only doing amazing things having fun..but I looked not overweight at all. It made all the work worthwhile and encouraged me to not gain over the holidays and wreck it all.23

@HDBKLM congratulations on being firmly in the healthy range!!!4

My A1C is now down in the "normal" range!!!!!!32

Mine is more of a "Oh, my habits are changing" success story.
I have a loooong history with compulsive overeating and binge eating. Today I desperately wanted to stress eat. I ignored it for a while, then I ordered my usual junk food. But not only did I order something to still keep me below maintenance (even though previously I would have clocked a 3,000 calorie meal), but I was full after half of it, threw it away, and am now still at a deficit for the day.
This is kind of a big deal for me, considering in the past I never would have thrown food away, and it would have turned into a month-long binge fest.

I came in 5th place for my age division in a local 5k run-with lots of hills38

a guy at the gym told me he used to weigh 335 and now 200. He said you would not understand you are skinny. I said me? I went from 190 to 160 this summer, never been called skinny.34

I was shopping in an antique store and saw a vintage hooded sweatshirt that was absolutely a "dream piece" for my wardrobe but it looked too small and didn't have a size tag. It was pretty inexpensive, so I went ahead and bought it, thinking I could wear it as a layering piece or give it away to my friend's teenage daughter. It wound up fitting perfectly, not quite snug but looking like it was made for me.
Another NSV in the same day was visiting a Torrid store with my friend and thinking I might buy something there since they carry 10-30. I usually wear 10s and 12s. As it turned out, I tried on a bunch of jeans and a dress and everything was way too large, I'd assume from vanity sizing, but that was still an NSV for me. I fibbed to my friend about it and said they just didn't fit right, because I didn't want to brag of course.30
