What's Your Most Recent NSV

Realized I like good chocolate but more than one and it doesn’t like me. Too much rich food and bythis morning I have a food hangover. But NSV is that while food hasn’t been on point, I’ve woken up to get to the gym every morning (except Christmas, which I took as a rest day) to get home by breakfast. So the TOM + holiday bloat aren’t worrying me as they normally would. Ready to get back to normal!16

Great nsv!
I have sooooo many questions 😅

I don’t know if everyone would view it as a NSV but I restarted my journey today. Actually managed to wake up and go to the gym this morning and followed it by a healthy breakfast. We will see how the rest of today goes.43

Santa brought me a new jumper (sweater, if you're American!) in a UK size 14 (US 10), and it WAS. TOO. BIG.

Took a week off, ate and drank whatever I wanted to, enjoyed Christmas with friends and family who live 800 miles away, and gained 3 pounds. My NSV is getting back to my routine today, not feeling guilty about the past week because I know that the memories will last much longer than the 3 pounds.39

I had two wonderful days of christmas and ate many many foods (all planned as over days)
My NSV is that today all could think was how much I was looking forward to eating normally again and have a nice huge salad. I had it when we arrived home again and I loved it. My body is craving vegetables26 -
I have worked for the same company for the last year and a half - when I first started I managed field staff employees and saw them regularly out in the field. The last six months I have been in the office (in a new role) - today a field staff member came into the office and was shocked. She kept telling me how great I looked and how much more radiant my smile was.
Felt awesome32 -

Thank you @HDBKLM - we were raising money for cancer research. The jackets were a bit ill fitting but did stand up to total immersion pretty well: this photo was post swim10

@motivatedmartha you look amazing!! And you look like you're having fun!!!!3 -
I walked/hiked 13 miles today, up and down two different hills (with a break in the middle for lunch and to drive from one to another). This is the furthest I’ve hiked to date, and I’m tired and my quads and hip flexors are a little stiff and achey but I feel pretty good.
...there will hopefully be a few NSVs along these lines over the next several months, as I’m doing a 24-hour hike for charity in September so need to train up to be able to hike 40 miles nonstop. What have I got myself into?!33 -
I got myself up before 6am to go on a run before work because I won’t be able to this weekend. Nice little 3 miler all at sub 10min/mile. And I wasn’t feeling as gassed as I would have even just two weeks ago. Can feel my hard work paying off as I can continue to increase my distance when I have the time or the speed when I’m limited on time.21

I was with a group of people and we were chatting about lunch - where to go, what to get, etc. A few in the group were trying to lose weight and were having a tough time making a good choice. Before we scattered to grab our meals, one of them told me, "You're lucky. You can eat whatever you want."
He forgot to add, "in moderation"23 -
I was at a workout class today that was focused on abs. The instructor demonstrated a move. I figured there was no way I could do it. But I could, no problem.29

Officially out of the big girl clothes store and into normal sizes!
Boom!35 -
Reviewing my cardiovascular training stats for this week and taking my blood pressure this evening gave me some refreshing feedback of doing a good job besides the BW readings:

I signed up for a half-marathon today! I’ve been talking about it for a few months now but hadn’t actually made the commitment. Well now $90 is gone and I have 8 months to get ready!38
-
I walked 10000 steps today, first time in 10 months42

I do 4 on/off night shifts. I did a work out on all 4 shifts, instead of just 2 or 3 of them.33

This is daft.
Joined a gym today, wanted to try heavy weights. I’ve not been for years. I was actually very stressed about the whole thing, dreading it.
I managed to deadlift 8 sets of 70kg!! Feel elated hahaha.36 -
Went to the theatre with Dh. Fit comfortably in the seat with room to spare!33

I went for a crosscountry ski this afternoon and the trail I was on took me near the biathlon training area. As I was passing one of the coaches she started talking to me, then realized I wasn't one of her skiiers and apologized. Biathlon skiiers are incredible athletes and she actually mistook me for one!!! Granted, the sun was shining in her eyes so she probably couldn't see me very well. But I'll still take it as a win48

I struggle with always taking free food/drinks offered to me. Today I could have gotten a complementary cider and I turned it down! Also said no to desserts with my fiance, also very out of character!35

My mom, who has always been loving but critical, came over last night to make Christmas cookies with my family. She gave me this weird look and said "gee I hope the clothes I bought you for Christmas fit. What size are you in now?" (In a good way as I'm smaller than she thought.)
Turned out she did have to return all the shirts she bought me and reorder them in a smaller size.48 -
I handled my finances over the past couple days without having an anxiety attack!
Including the food budget 😉😁42
