My Christmas NSV was handing out all of the gifts and loading the dishwasher and sitting on the floor and having candid photos taken by family members and never once stopping to think "oh no I wonder how I look doing this?" That used to be a real problem for me and I was constantly fidgeting with my clothes or outright avoiding things (like passing out the presents to everyone) because I didn't want people looking at my body.31

Me too (not all healthy) but last night (Christmas eve) my husband and I took a walk of several miles looking at Christmas lights in surrounding neighborhoods and we were both laughing that we had tons of extra energy hours later than usual because of the extra food. For some reason it cracked me up to realize oh, I feel like running through the streets at 11 pm and it's because I ate a huge meal of Chinese food and normally wouldn't eat so much.14 -
My husband didn't have to worry about whether or not things would fit. He got me things, and they fit. That is the best and most novel experience ever. We never forget the one year he bought me an amazing jacket only to have it be too small... and when we went to exchange it at the store, they didn't carry it in a size I could fit into. That scarred him from buying me clothing for a number of years.
But now... he can get me things without that fear. Yeah, some things may or may not fit right, but the risk is far smaller.
It was also great to have pictures taken of me and not cringe. I didn't hide from the Christmas photos!
I ate until I hurt. It was glorious. Tomorrow, will be another day and I don't / won't worry what I may have gained. It was worth it.
All the yum yums. But I had so much... I am quite honestly done with super rich food. XD26 -
@dhiammarath - know what you mean about being done with the rich food - today I am craving a salad! My nsv is that yesterday my daughter and I joined friends in the village to swim in the sea (in front of 100s of spectators) wearing top hat, and gold sequinned tail coats over our swimming costumes with fishnet tights. She was gorgeous as ever but I didn't look a complete sight and got lots of compliments. I had fun and would never have done that in the last 20 years! The biggest nsv for me is that when doing it I really didn't think or care how I looked, didn't even cross my mind. No more seeking out cameras so I could avoid them!24

I left my husband 8 months ago and moved out of state to a small town where I had a friend.
I wasn't looking forward to Christmas, thinking I would miss the 20 years of spending the holiday with his family.
I decided to invite my friend and some of my new neighbors over for a full Christmas dinner, total of 11 people.
I pulled out my grandmother's silver platters, set a beautiful table and had a wonderful evening.
After everyone left and the house was cleaned, I sat on the floor in front of the fireplace and opened the gifts that my family had mailed to me.
It was a perfect way to spend my first Christmas on my own.
I am so blessed.

When getting ready for Mass on Christmas Day, I had to put away my big boy belt because it ni longer “fit” and grab an old belt that I hadn’t used in a while. This old belt is now my “go to belt.”25

I ran 6.08 miles in 60 minutes today, thus meeting my running goal... it’s time to find a new one!
Paired with that, I hit my goal and my friend I told about it was extremely supportive and he was proud of me as well, which felt really good.26 -

She was amazed my AC1 is continuing to drop it is now 6.1 in January I was almost at 12%. My total chol number is 125, the hated tryglycerides that use to be close to 300 are at 139. So yes losing 79 pounds since May has been huge. But the amazing part has been getting a better footing on many different blood numbers that were going from bad to worse. I am off a number of meds now. And being told, everything is so good, come back in 6 months. What a feeling that is. My goal for 2019 is to take off the other 51 pounds to get to a healthy BMI.
So inspiring! My dad, sister, uncle, and aunt have type 2 diabetes and my two brothers are prediabetes. I dropped from prediabetes to normal A1C by dropping down to a normal BMI. And your post reminds me that even if I can’t beat genetics I can still take actions that improve my health.16 -

Realized I like good chocolate but more than one and it doesn’t like me. Too much rich food and bythis morning I have a food hangover. But NSV is that while food hasn’t been on point, I’ve woken up to get to the gym every morning (except Christmas, which I took as a rest day) to get home by breakfast. So the TOM + holiday bloat aren’t worrying me as they normally would. Ready to get back to normal!16

I don’t know if everyone would view it as a NSV but I restarted my journey today. Actually managed to wake up and go to the gym this morning and followed it by a healthy breakfast. We will see how the rest of today goes.43

Santa brought me a new jumper (sweater, if you're American!) in a UK size 14 (US 10), and it WAS. TOO. BIG.

Took a week off, ate and drank whatever I wanted to, enjoyed Christmas with friends and family who live 800 miles away, and gained 3 pounds. My NSV is getting back to my routine today, not feeling guilty about the past week because I know that the memories will last much longer than the 3 pounds.39

I had two wonderful days of christmas and ate many many foods (all planned as over days)
My NSV is that today all could think was how much I was looking forward to eating normally again and have a nice huge salad. I had it when we arrived home again and I loved it. My body is craving vegetables26 -
I have worked for the same company for the last year and a half - when I first started I managed field staff employees and saw them regularly out in the field. The last six months I have been in the office (in a new role) - today a field staff member came into the office and was shocked. She kept telling me how great I looked and how much more radiant my smile was.
Felt awesome32 -

Thank you @HDBKLM - we were raising money for cancer research. The jackets were a bit ill fitting but did stand up to total immersion pretty well: this photo was post swim10
