  • Thank you @Rebecca512787 I'm not sure taller people understand the trouble of distributing weight on a smaller frame. Gaining or losing even 5lbs is so much different on shorter people. And thank you. I'm trying to get in a different mindset as I near my weight goal. I like to focus on things for improvement/goals as it…
  • Our family Y membership is 59$ a month and they have 2 hours of daycare included a day which is EXACTLY what I needed. No other gyms came close to that where I am at. It is also pretty empty most days(weightroom) and all the different free classes! Love our Y. I wouldn't be where I am today without that place.
  • June1: 3 Minutes elbow plank(1 minute plank with rests in between), 1 minute side plank(each side). Total: 5 minutes of planks for day June2: 3 minutes elbow plank(1minrest,repeat3X) 2 minutes side plank(1minrestrepeat2X) for total of 4 minutes worth, and I did leg rises for 1 minute but that's not a plank. T Total for…

  • @Rebecca512787 great job, 2 lb loss in a week!! I booked marked this thread ages ago when I first started using the forums. I still want to be active in this discussion. :-) it's really nice to see other shorter ladies and their successes and also they understand the struggles of being short. Struggle: when I have said I…
  • Anemia sticks! I have a friend who has struggled for years with it.
  • It might be a combination of 2 cups of coffee I sip throughout the day and I just have crazy amounts of energy when I regularly workout. Except when I was overweight, I'm usually not the type to just sit around all day either. I gotta keep moving, especially with 3 kids and a house to take care of. Not that I don't sit and…
  • That's great will power! Every once in a while the kids want a HappyMeal, when I order I get the grilled artisan chicken sandwich with no sauce, no fries, and a large iced tea. I'm sorta not in love with their burgers. However, five guys is tough. I think I would just get a kids/small burger and deal with the higher…
  • I have a bad ankle that I have rolled COUNTLESS times in my lifetime. I have never injured it WHILE running. Usually it's when I step off of a step or two wrong. Because I have rolled it so many times my ligaments are trashed. The last time I injured it was halfway through my weight loss thus far) and I took 6 weeks off…
  • We had a bit of a bum day today, we did go get groceries(all 5 of us). I did my website job today(worked 6 hours) while the hubs played with kids/made food/did housework. Tomorrow we plan on getting the sprinkler and kiddie pool out since it will be hot. I gotta get another 8 hours in with the website job(just a part time…
  • @am_change thank you :-) I will be forever grateful that I made myself do them ((made my hubs to take them even though he is a giant dork and does his own goofy ones before mine lol gosh I love the turd)). There are some days I can hardly believe where I am at/how far I have come in such a short amount of time. If you had…

  • Well I didn't make it to 129 by Jun 1. I believe I was still 130.4. I had been holding steady for over a week despite doing pretty darn good. Then yesterday I dropped a whole pound and now this morning June 3rd I am 128. However, I was able to get my 8?minute mile before June 1. :D still really happy with my successes.
  • @sunny_d22 thank you, glad to inspire. What has helped me a bunch is having a voice coach app that pushes me and tells me when to run, sprint, slow run. I also use Runtastic(gps tracking and it watched elevation as well) to track times and calorie burn and I watch my times as I am running. I have also found I don't just…
  • Another month down and I am feeling so great. This month I have started giving myself fitness goals to focus on as I am getting closer to my goal weight. And this morning I am ANOTHER pound down from yesterday's weight, so I am sitting at 128. I feel incredible!!
  • @skinnymeenae thank you. :-) I am 5'2.5"
  • My progress photos. :D I know it's probably not necessary but I am REALLY happy with this month. I may have slowed my loss this month by a whole 3 pounds but I really feel this has been my best month yet. I have really hit some big accomplishments for myself fitness wise and I am feeling fantastic!! I am so happy with my…

Day2: complete (day24 of challenge) 16sumo 16 lunges each side I feel like such a beast (in a good way) lately :D I did planks today and push-ups. I can't wait to see what a month is going to bring for me.
  • Just did monthly progress photos. :D I am so excited by how far I have come and how close I am to my goal. Cheers ladies!! You CAN do this! I seriously started this never believing I could come this far. Just keep moving forward.
  • @sweatNsmiles thank you so much. The first month I couldn't make myself take a picture. I was in such an unhappy place. Mostly, I was terrified I would take it and then only stick to it for a week or month. Now I am so mad at myself for not sucking it up and just doing it. It's really nice to see the whole progression, how…
  • Just did my progress photo and now I'm on my way to the gym to sweat(cardio-elliptical and stair mill thing) and going to do my buttlifter before.
  • Forgot to do my start weight and such. I did my measurements last night. The second of every month I do a progress photo on my big camera(front, side, back). So I'll post those maybe tonight. June 1st start weight: 130.4 Original start weight jan 2nd was 183. Goal for the month: 125 lbs Originally my end goal was 120 but I…

  • Weighed myself this morning and I'm 129.4 lbs! 125 here I come!! I also managed a 7minute 50 second mile this last weekend: new goal to have multiple 8 minute miles in one run. I'm not sure how much faster I really need or want to go beyond this. Maybe 7:30 mile but that is probably as far as I'll push myself, anything…
