  • I did 443 calories in Speed 2.0 the other day (according to my HRM) and that site says 445 which is good, but the intensity was "low". I can tell you that my intensity of Speed 2.0 is anywhere but "low".
  • Keep at it. That feeling is the best. I've been out for a couple of weeks finishing my thesis and I started back this morning; boy! Have I set myself back or what! Couldn't stop sweating, even after the shower. Still sweating two hours later. I felt like i was burning up.
  • Thanks Leah. I've seen those DVDs, always wondered what they are exactly. I thought they were just recordings of Les Mills BodyCombat classes with head trainers and updated with new songs. Thanks and well done on your weight-loss!
  • Thanks Sarah, that was actually for leahcollet1 (should have used quotes). Beachbody did do Less Mills Pump and Less Mills Combat for a while but the contract is at an end and they are no longer in a partnership.
  • Is that the Beachbody version? If so, which schedule do you follow? And how many rounds did you do?
  • You might get a better workout with some kinds of cougar than a treadmill! :D
  • Given that T25 is mostly cardio (even in Beta, with weights it has cardio sections to get the heart rate up), I use a Polar HRM and use it's calorie burn as my entry into UP24 (which I have linked to MFP).
  • Really? I think it might depend on how heavy you are and how hard you go at the workouts. Today (doubles day), with Upper Focus and Speed 2.0 I burned a combined 740 calories in 50 mins (plus the cooldown at the end of Speed 2.0) according to my Polar HRM. That's pretty good, right? Comparable with other cardio based…
  • Hi Adam, I'm using MFP which has recommended that I drop below my BMR (of around 2400) by 300 calories to only eat 2100 calories as my goal is to drop 2lbs a week. I have sometimes found it hard to stick to 2100, so I eat some of my exercise calories back. My weightloss has slowed to just over 1lb a week accordingly. Hope…
  • Ok, so I'm well qualified to talk about this, I think. I have been doing Focus T25 for about a year, multiple rounds of Alpha and multiple rounds of the Beta phase (since mid-October 2014). I've had a few breaks (around Christmas when we all got ill - wife, me and the three kids) and for a couple of weeks in June when my…
  • Don't take it the wrong way, please. Your thread is inspiring and your story is amazing, especially given your age and start weight, hence the initial suspicion. Besides it was only a couple of people (including me). Everybody else has been very supportive. Congrats and well done. I hope to have a story like yours (in…
  • You missed, no. 6. The guy says he's six-inches tall. I thought that leprechauns are naturally mesomorphic? :*
  • I started with Ten Minute Trainer by Beachbody. Tony Horton can be irritating but the workouts (if you do three of them - 30 minutes + cool down & warm up about 34 mins in all). I started with one on the first day, went to two workouts for a couple of days and then by end of week one was doing three. It got easier, but was…
  • I rarely comment on these threads (in fact my post count is probably not even in the tens), but this story of your life and your journey needed recognising. An insprirational glimpse, young man!
