Thanks all, I've lost fifty pounds counting carbs (less than 130gr carbs/day, so it's hardly ketogenic) thus far. Down over two pant sizes and don't like eating carbs that much any longer, but do. My stomach just doesn't like being full anylonger.

I'm a 66 year old fellow, with a history of two hernia repairs forty years ago, inguinal and umbilical. I'm suspecting another hernia, over my umbilical. I thought it was a Diastasis recti but my GP said no, it's an incisional hernia. I contacted the Shouldice Clinic and they recommend a repair but I have to lose 50lbs…

I'm a Garmin FR230 user and loving it. Nice to see what other Garmin users are getting out of their Garmin training/coach. Become rather attached to mine. Sure, add me... oldnevada

I've only lost 20 real pounds (fat pounds?), but my clothes are 'much' looser and I'm down a size and a half in my pants. I'm just starting to feel much less fat but better about myself. I think I've lost a lot of fat though cause all my clothes are much looser. Plus I'm much much more limber.

My daily deficit is around the same 300 to 500 calorie/day. Fat is being consumed for sure as my clothes are becoming more baggy and I've been keeping track of my neck, chest, waist hip, quad and calf sizes which are shrinking. The tell tale is is that my weight loss is very slow. I workout 4-5 times a week. Kettlebell,…

JL, I roll over, get up and go for another run... It's not much of an answer but it works for me. I guess I'm lucky cause I hate alcohol and fried and prepared foods that use industrial cooking oils like palm oil, literally make me sick. I've taken to eating green and red peppers, the long sweet ones with some hot sauce…

I have the same issue. 1700C/day. I lost 10lbs the first what, two weeks, then put on 12 lbs then that fell off now I'm slowly reducing. I've lost 17lbs so far. I'm very heavy set as well, very large bones and just turned 64. My weight loss is not dramatic, but my clothes are getting looser and looser. I'm 67 days into MFP…

MFP has really helped me condition myself off high carbohydrate foods. Especially pasta and bread. Now I'm eating more vegetables and proteins, (not much cheese though). I will munch on a red or green pepper instead of putting peanut butter on a slice of bread. I'll have a burger patty with one slice of 9 grain toast and…

I've taken a 0 exercise day today. With my kettlebell cardio routine (morning) and 40 minute run (late afternoon) my body took a dive on me last night and am still feeling it today. So, resting up and letting those muscle tears heal up. I was feeling quite out of sorts from it all this morning. I got a Garmin 230 and it is…

I have 30kg to lose. Love this success story. Check, it's coming off slowly now almost two months into it, meaning, counting calories. I have to bust my chops but am actually running now with a stride, and jogging less. Thanks for sharing your great success. We are so addicted to processed food, it's a crime.

60lbs. My weight isn't swinging anymore, there is a net loss, now, pound by pound in the right direction.

I started at 270 and now down to 258... clothes are getting looser. Feel free to add. Hey! great success

Thanks, rombley347. Pretty much, 5 days/7 days average. I heard that cross training was the best way to lose weight and I have to lose 60lbs, preferably 70lbs. I believe the doctrine is, is that you want the muscle to burn calories, so that is why I include kettlebell cardio as well as the aerobics (jogging/ walking…

Excellent!!

Hi! I was 270lbs when I started. I just started by walking for around 45mins. each time, then I would add a jog for a minute. But to start by walking. (now I can jog for 45mins with the odd stop.) I live with PTSD, all I could do was sleep. I hate myself in the mirror often enough, I started to do something. I remember to…

My mini goal is getting back into a size 38 pair of jeans (or better!!) and my 25yr old Tilly's shorts and shirt.... that I have purposely kept in my closet. One does not throw away Tilly's clothes.....

Check, SusanMFindlay, I did by a big bag of raw walnuts at the beginning of the month. I'll buy another. Most of this weight change is happening now. I'm down 8-9 lbs since I lost ten then put back on 12. I'm noticing my clothing is becoming less tight and I can get back into my old Montreal Half Marathon tech T's I got in…

Thanks, kshama2001... check! my MD sent me to a dietician when he first diagnosed me (4 years now I think.) I should call the clinic and get a current evaluation. Appreciated that!
