MFP and fitbit when I had one helped me get started. Couch25k taught me to run. Strava now helps me figure out new running routes. But the number one thing that has helped me is changing my relationship with food. Instead of using it for comfort it is now nutrition.

My biggest motivation was the misery and depression I felt when I was at my biggest. I am so much more confident and genuinely happier now that I have lost 60lbs. I once again have learned to love myself and it shows in every aspect of my life.

For a while now people have been saying "holy crap you got skinny" for the first time in as long as I can remember I looked at myself in a mirror and said "holy *kitten* I am skinny!"

Sounds to me like you may benefit a bit from stepping back and relaxing. Take a deep breath and just be for a while, deal with your health problems and then get back to dieting with a clear head.

You don't have to necessarily eat leas you just need to eat healthier. Logging food in here will help you learn what food you can and can't eat a lot of. Best of luck to you, small steps, little by little, as long as you do not give up you will get to your goals.

Honestly I bet you will have no trouble finding jamaican food in the database here. I have found every single Polish food that I eat without issue.

Water is important because your body is mostly made of water. You are like a skin covered cucumber and nobody likes a dried up cucumber.

I feel you on this too. I have not been randomly snacking or eating candy for months. Than one day I decide to get a candy bar, next day it is poptarts, next pringles. Regained 5lbs and now am buckling down again to get rid of it again plus the additional 10lbs i still have to loose.

I got stuck about half way in. For months I could not get out of the 170s. I did not end up doing anything special. Just got a bit more honest about what and how much I was eating and eventually it started coming off again. Down to 154 now :)

I play music when I run. When I first started i made a Playlist of some of my favorite upbeat songs. I now changed to my favorite slow beat album portishead - portishead as it helps me run slower and much much longer.

Not every day but close enough. I drink jameson straight or red wine. I bet that if I stopped drinking I would reach my goal weight thrice as fast.

I did the Skinny B*tch diet which is basically just strict veganism. Fruit for breakfast. Nuts for lunch. Tofu for dinner kind of thing. I love that you are so annoyed by me moving things around my dads house. A stranger on the internet. While my father thought it was funny and understood why i did it and has started hiding his candy for me so that i am not tempted when I go there because he is very proud of my weigtloss progress and wishes to be supportive.

Sorry but if i walk into my dads house and he has candy lying around and i do not want to see it i will stash it and not even tell him i did it till i am getting ready to leave. It is your parent they'll live.

I have a goal date. I am not making it like a reach goal or die goal date but it helps put a little urgency in my mind.
