I'd add ppl as friends but uh how do you do it? Lol I just know how to accept requests lol

I motivate the kids I work with but get sick of being a cheerleader for myself. I do 16k steps a day at work but I still have weekends to get in good workouts when my feet don't hurt, plus I do water aerobics 2xs during the week. Nothing is impossible but takes discipline.

Nutrition is the key for sure.

Lol I typed A S S and it said 😸kitten

My motivation is better health. I want to improve myself and have better quality of life in later years.

I got a gym quality Precor on Craig's list. Was so worth it to get nice one

My carbs total is usually under 100g a day, but I still like what I eat.

Oh I have two monster tattoos on my knees. This way when it hurts I say the monsters are acting up. Before that my knees were called Fred & Ethel. Lol Most of knee pain is weak quads, tight hamstrings. Foam rolling, and rolling pin on the muscles helps too.

Water aerobics is great too. With my broken tibia and messed up knee last Feb, water rehab was great. And the best way to helping knee is nutrition. Less weight, knee happy, better nutrition less inflammation

Other than tjs gluten free pancake mix, I've decided to just to stay away from flour. Most gluten free flour is so high in carbohydrates. I do like the caulipower brand. Their tortillas, chicken tenders and pizza crust is pretty good. There is this egg white wrap thing that is really good to in place of bread that is 25…

Michelle I turn 50 in May and have prior back injury as well. I am doing 250 miles by my bday on my elliptical as a celebration. (I started that in Dec) Getting stronger and fit is my long term goal & if I can get back into boxing shape in year or so I'd be ecstatic! Losing weight is a byproduct for me, I want change in…

Mental wellness is just as important in weight loss. Cortisol levels spike when stressed and can keep on weight. The state of country definitely makes you go ape crazy. I have been doing a bible study to help. Being spiritual has really helped me get support as I have no family other than my cats. I focus on what I'm…

I have been doing a lot of virtual runs since September. I do them on my elliptical, but it keeps me moving. Some I purchased online, but I made a few racing bibs just to have fun.

Healthy fat & protein fill me up. I eat under 125 to 150g carbs a day because they just want me to eat more most days I'm under 100. Fat is not the bad guy and I don't feel I've been sacrificing much w my nutrition eating eggs, avocado, olive oil etc to satisfy me. Celery, asparagus, cauliflower are my go to carbs since…

Lay sauce, pepperoni, veggies & cheese in baking dish & crust free "pizza" Same w tortilla free enchiladas....chicken, sauce. Onion, olives .... Get the flavor, but less carbs

I have better relationships w guys. I used to box so I'm not a chick that cares about her nails or if I can fit in a bikini. I'm feminine, but in my own way. I want to be fit, healthy, and deadlift 200 lbs like I used to. Well ok, torn disc limits that, but to spar in the ring again would work. And I used to spar guys. Get…

I keep saying I'm just out of shape, not almost 50. I guess I'm young in mind so I care less about wrinkles and aging visually, but more on trying to keep this bod in good condition.

Yes I did

Nutrition!!!! You definitely need both, but you are what you eat. You eat 💩, well then...😁 However if you are younger and mildly out of shape or overweight, you can most like kick butt w exercise. At the same time, nutrition sets the stage for life. I've always exercised, but the lapses in nutrition did the most damage N&E…

Something competitive that takes skill. Of course darts and cupstacking exert differently than wrestling or bob sledding, but it still is all sport. And don't poo poo cupstacking. It takes hours of practice and takes skill. So I guess you can debate sport vs. athlete, but athleticism involves muscle memory, hence why chess…

I notice many trainers don't cover nutrition and technically they don't need to. Nutritional education is SO important & you can exercise to death, but if you don't eat right, you definitely keep trainers in business. My trainer saved my life. I went from 230, 47% bodyfat to 138, 20% & became a personal trainer in a year.…

Great ideas folks. I did rest and hitting the gun range was a good activity yesterday, but it'll be nice to try some of your ideas. I do coloring books and read too. And yes, cleaning the house is a go to thing to do. Happy Health Everyone!

What most people don't really realize is body composition is far more important than a weight. I'm sure you've gained muscle. It takes me a month to see change as I tend to gain muscle faster. I could weigh the same but be 10% bodyfat. Weight is a horrible measure for overall health. Weight loss is a byproduct to body comp…

2 years ago the hot flashes started and freaking 15 lb gain & bellyfat. (My nutrition/exercise was ok, so I do believe gain was from menopausal symptoms) It's been a battle and between broken leg and covid I'm still trying to change body comp. It's freaking annoying but whatever..just can't wait to not have to buy feminine…

@tvm1970 Sorry about your ankle. I messed a nerve in mine and it took over a year to calm down. I have a nagging hamstring right now, but will do some movement. If you are tracking your food well, that's a good thing as nutrition does get you the best results. You could do upper body workouts while you let your ankle heal.…

Coconut cream is a great alternative that isn't full of chemicals. It does help when you want a creaminess to your coffee.

@AquaFan Congrats on the progress so far. I'm low maintenance too and the goal is health for me as well. Sorry about your feet. I have bad feet as well, but just do what I can. Slow and steady win the race.😊
