  • Same issue, it's like they want a quick easy answer that doesn't involve hard work or time. We didn't gain the weight overnight, we won't lose it overnight! It takes focus and determination, being willing to get back on the wagon day after day, putting in the time to do CICO and the workouts! I usually just say my fitness…
  • Also check out Runtastic they have several waterproof trackers.
  • Maybe instead of normal workout do a walk? Or just do something. I decided even when I don't feel like it, I have to show up, and do 15 min of something, if by then I still don't feel like doing a workout ok, but usually by then I'm ready to go with a full workout. However rest days are extremely important as well!
  • I hate getting sweaty!! And between fibromyalgia and arthritis, bad neck and bad low back, was petrified of how much more pain I would be in. When I sweat it seems to all be in my face, and any kind of excess activity meant several days to a week recovery time. But, I was determined to not only lose the weight but keep up…
  • I have same issues, I take stool softeners every night without laxatives. (Docusate sodium) will have to try the magnesium!!
  • Peanut butter would be a great protein and is fairly reasonable, as are eggs, avocados are a healthy fat, watch for sales in meat, chicken is affordable usually, specially if you get a whole one and either roast it or cut it up. I do protein shakes for breakfast, but eggs or oatmeal are also good go to's. Then I would…
  • All they have told me is that in synthroid, it's the one medicine that for some reason generic isn't the same as brand name. I hadn't heard the variation in doseage, that's a pretty big swing. It just doesn't work the same. Even the military pharmacy where I fill my script carries name brand synthroid instead of generic.…
  • I had same problem til we went with a peroxide base cleaner/soak and went thru several brands of contacts. My eye dr Thot I was having a reaction to the solutions, I also think it's partly my meds help dry my eyes out. Maybe see if there isn't a brand that you could use? I go nuts trying to keep track of the reading…
  • Koinflipper, I had a similar surgery, also for cataracts, have perfect distance vision, horrible reading, my eye dr worked with me on finding contacts I can wear all the time and read but still have my distance vision. It's still not perfect, but better than carrying reading glasses everywhere or not being able to see!!…
  • No idea, I started on it like 27 yrs ago and the few times I used generic it wasn't working for me, even several Drs have said that's one med that the generic isnt equal after I had the issues, in their opinions. Which is weird with the requirements in generic vs brand. Haven't had issues with any other generics.
  • Are you taking brand name or generic synthroid? And what foods did you eliminate? I'm also hypothyroid, on .225 much of synthroid daily. Can't take generic as it doesn't work for me.
  • I like the GNC lean shakes. 25 grams of protein, I use them for my breakfast which is usually on the go, I have a very sensitive stomach and they don't upset it. Plus they are quite filling. Several flavor a to choose from!
  • I know the feeling! Same thing happened! Or when I could do the Roman chair, with 10 reps! I had started on the arc, was at 5 min, worked up to an hour, had knee surgery, now I'm working back up from 30 min. As you go along this journey, there will be a lot of goals you didn't know you had! I see someone doing something…
  • There's a Runtastic Orbit, go to their page, Runtastic.com, they have several options. There is also the Basis Peak, and I want to say the Polar 's also water proof. I like my Basis Peak for tracking sleep and water activity, just be sure and do your research!! They each offer their own set of measurements, you need to…
  • Check on Amazon they often have stuff on sale!
  • I record everything and fast forward thru the commercials! Can't stand to watch them!!!
  • Can u not track the steps in MFP? Just on the app?
  • Visit a local gym, see if u can get a day pass and try out their different equipment options, that may help you choose what to purchase. Maybe find somewhere to walk indoors, the mall? Local gyms usually have a walking track and sometimes you don't have to have a full membership to just use it. Good luck!!!
  • Mellymint80, please try to distance yourself from him as much as possible, make him go thru an Atty or mutual friend so you dont have to deal with him. I actually lost weight going thru my divorce, started on phentermine, But couldn't afford to stay on it. You can do this!! I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but you can…
  • Love it!! Ladies your attitude is awesome!! I can't say just a stress non eater, maybe just a non eater period. If I am home all day alone, I probably won't eat anything til supper. Sometimes I wish there was a "nutrient pill" that I could take so I didn't have to eat!! Went thru a divorce myself, lost about 60 lbs gained…
  • Are u referring to the gear fit? Hubby and I got them for our anniversary last March. I was happy with what it gave me, steps, etc. is it worth the money? That's going to depend on you and how faithfully you wear it and use it. I used to never wear a watch, batteries would go out way to soon on me. A year ago we started…
  • Please wait, I had my gallbladder removed laparoscopically, did not do anything I shouldn't have and I ended up with a hernia that took 5 (2 were 5 day hospital stays) repairs to take! It's hard to be patient, but just keep the short walks up or whatever the dr has approved, better to get it over with now than be down even…
  • Made it to the gym after doing water aerobics!! Did a decent workout finishing what I didn't have time for yesterday!
  • Im down 60 lbs (25 the last 10 mos) and my rings have gotten where they are falling off, so I had my finger sized and it was a 6!!! From an 8 to a six, last time I saw that size was high school, almost 30 years ago!! Then, today was putting on my leggings and it wasn't a struggle!! So thankful for the boards!!! Like…
  • Hugs, I had a miscarriage, and know the empty arms feeling all too well. Give yourself time to heal, physically, mentally and emotionally. And yes, definitely ask for help, it will make it all a lot easier. I was set to adopt an infant and the mother changed her mind at the last second, I couldn't even look at anything we…
  • I love mine, just wish it were waterproof and had a good sleep tracking app! I hadn't seen the drink more water notification! Will have to look for that! I had been using a basis peak, which I also love and is waterproof and supposedly the best sleep tracker, so I'm currently using both. It's fun seeing when you've met all…
  • A cybex arc, my own personal heated pool and weight room! Not asking for much! Would need a larger house for all that to fit! Or just plastic surgery to remove all this excess skin!!! Goals for 2016: lose this last 50 lbs and get to about 15% bf.
  • The apple health app will when it's all set up.
  • Even if all you can do is add more steps to your day, maybe get an affordable pedometer and count steps, challenge yourself to walk more steps every day/week/month. A year ago that's where I started. Now, I'm logging daily (for the most part) working out almost daily again, and down 25 lbs. As already stated, if you don't…
  • I pass my too big stuff on to friends, I've been able to get by, but have a feeling I'm going to need a shopping trip soon. Have jeans that are fine, that were given to me, have plenty of skorts to wear w leggings, for working out, luckily the leggings fit. Hubby has lost enough that his old tshirts are too big for him but…
