I like Pure Protein. I get them at target for $15/box of 12, which seems reasonable for protein bars. Congratulations on your weight loss! I have a sneaking suspicion this is why you lost weight though, not because of the avocare. Your changed habits put you at a calorie deficit.

I'm about the same - it usually takes 3-4 days for me and I retain water after a lot of exercise. This past Saturday, I did 20,000+ steps (just walking around the zoo) and had a higher than usual deficit. Sunday morning, I had gained half a pound. This morning, I am down a pound.

Nothing wrong with it. I've cut about 100 calories each day this week to save up for some Swenson's tonight (delicious fast food in Ohio). Work it into your plan. Or if not, get back to it the next day.

How do you know the "right" food in the database (other than avoiding generic, as you just mentioned)? For instance, I just tried to log 200g of red potatoes, and depending on what I chose from the database, it was either 135 or 178. Any tips for picking the right entry when there are many?

I'm not sure why the fitbit would have anything different though - I don't log food on there, so shouldn't it just take the number from mfp?
