I ate only otter pops for about two months when I was 20. I don't know what started it but I quickly lost 20 lbs AND developed major blood sugar issues. I can't even imagine how my body would react now that it's older!

What an amazing transformation! You can really see how much your hard work had paid off, way to go you guys!

You might like the 100 + pounds with NO surgery group. There is a lot of support there with people going through similar struggles

I'm in! I think I'll aim for two goals: 125 miles for the month and at least a 21 mile ride to beat my previous 20 mile ride record :)

Incredible difference! Are those the same boots?!

There are several people that go by weekly calories instead of daily. Maybe that would work better for you?

I've lost 52 lbs and have gone from a tight 18 to a tight 14 in pants so I'm going to have to disagree. I've lost three sizes in shirts though and a half size in shoes. It just depends on the person.

It's been a cool September so far so I've ridden in the heat of the day for the first time instead of the crack of dawn. It's been wonderful, I can't wait for Autumn! 9/1 - 20 miles 9/3 - 19 miles Total 39 miles Goal 100 miles Remaining 61miles

I'd like to follow this thread, I'm brand new to cycling. Well brand new as in haven't done it willingly for 20+ years :) Last month I rode 69 miles so my goal this month is to hit 100 miles. The weather is changing though so I'll have to look into what one does riding in the rain. I'm so impressed at the numbers being put…

I would like to join too please!

Feel free to add me! (anyone!)

That's a very personal decision. It's good advice to read those articles posted above.

I didn't know that, thanks!

If you're really concerned you could make an appointment to get your thyroid and iron levels checked. When those are off they can cause some serious fatigue.
-
I feel like that most days :) for some reason I have the hardest time meeting my potassium goals. Each day I try again though!

^ yep, this

I swell up like a balloon in the heat. I'm carrying about five extra pounds of water right now

I go to bed :)

I can see the difference too! Nice work! Our stats are very similar (I've lost 37, have 63 to go) and I also have a hard time seeing any changes in the mirror. Good thread, congrats on your loss!

Oh man. Take a breath. It's going to be a very long journey for you if not an impossible one if you freak out over your body doing NORMAL body things. Eat your calories. All of your calories. A deficit is eating all of your calories. You didn't gain this weight in a week so don't punish your body by trying to lose it all…

I JUST got there! 199.2!! The best feeling of this journey so far!
