  • I started out at 4g and the weight was coming off but really slowly. I think that's partly because I'm now north of 40 haha! After I finished my first bottle I decided to up the dosage a bit to see if there was any improvement. Now I'm finding that my weight loss is steady at 1.5lbs per week. I think the combo of the…
  • One way I get my protein is my daily smoothie with protein powder in it. I sweeten it with Stevia and the only fruit in it is strawberries. At first it took some getting used to but now I look forward to my yummy afternoon snack. Boiled eggs for breakfast and chopped chicken breast with salsa are great snacks as well. I've…

  • I made myself a motivation board and hung it in my home office. I have pictures of outfits that I want to eventually wear, activities that I want to do (ie - paddle boarding) and motivational sayings that I like! (My new favorite - "What seems impossible today will one day become your warm up" - with a picture of a girl…

  • When I asked my nurse practitioner about Inositol she looked at my like I had three heads. Never heard of it! She really wanted me to go back to Metformin but I refused. I'm curious to hear what your doctor says about combining the two.

  • Hello fellow Canadians Here are a couple of Canadian websites that I found that carry Inositol. I haven't ordered from either yet. I got my first bottle of Inositol powder about 5 weeks ago through Amanzon.ca but it shipped out of the US (no duties or import taxes though - it just took a while). Please let me know if…

  • I've had a Mirena in place for almost 5 years now. As I was almost in my 40s and wasn't planning on any more babies, I had considered having a tubal but then OB said that wouldn't help with the lack of period and risk of uterine cancer. With the Mirena, the lining of the uterus doesn't thicken - very nice side effect -…
  • Hi ladies. In most of the studies I read they require folic acid be taken with the Inositol. I'm taking both along with Omega3 and vitamin D. For this using Inositol - are you taking folic as well?
  • Hi there!! Nice to see someone else from Ottawa on here! Two suggestions... 1- Cut out those carbs - anywhere you can! I'm doing 40% protein, 30% fat, 30% carbs - it's tough but doable! 2- Have you researched Inositol? I'm only on day three but very hopeful based on the studies! You can do it!!!!
  • Got my Inositol today. Yeah! Will report back in a few weeks on the early results! Also seeing the nurse practitioner on Wednesday for some additional guidance and blood work. I figure I can use all the coaching I can get my hand on! Have a great weekend ladies!
  • Hello ladies! I'm waiting for my Inositol delivery any day now. I am hopeful it will give me the extra edge I need because of the PCOS. So far I'm doing well. Down 10lbs in just over a month. Woohoo! I honestly believe I'm giving it 110% right now. I'm all in! I had a girlfriend visiting for the weekend and I didn't cheat…
  • Hi LauraH - where did you buy the Inositol? What brand? Does it taste like anything or can you really just mix it with water?
  • Hey there! I was diagnosed with PCOS in my late teens (I'm now 42). Back then, even my doctor had never heard of it. Believe it or not it was a Cosmo article about PCOS that might as well have been written about me made me see my doctor! For us PCOS'ers the key is low carb and low glycemic index. I was on Metformin for a…
