I squatted 100 pounds today and deadlifted 135, which is my body weight!! On a related note, my legs feel like jello and I can't move...lol.

Confession...I haven't been to the gym since Sunday and won't go again til Friday. I'm supposed to go tonight but I'm so tired. Think my body is telling me to take a rest. @FluffySandwich I think I've mentioned this before, but my boyfriend is one of those big dudes in the gym. He says he is always happy to help anyone that asks a question or needs a spot. Don't be intimidated!! :)

I'm usually around 115 grams of protein, so I think I'm good on that. I might need to add an extra shake though...

Yes, I do...although he is super old and not so active. I say 1600-1700 because that's during the week...on the weekends, I tend to not track and I know I go WAY over that amount, with wine and dinners on weekends. So, I bet on a weekly basis, my calorie intake is much higher than 1600-1700. I'm not gaining any weight even…

5'7", 135...I have a desk job but I lift heavy 4 times a week. I've been eating 1600-1700 but some days it just doesn't feel like enough. Keep in mind, lifting is really my only exercise...no cardio.

I have a question...anyone can answer it, but I'm definitely focusing it towards those who lift...are you finding you're having to eat more? I am hungry all the time now! I'm eating more and not gaining weight which is good, but I feel like I'm scared to eat too much after trying to lose weight. I don't really want to lose…

Haha, I was at happy hour last week with some work friends and we talked for like 20 minutes about how we all love cheese...I LOVE any kind of cheese...except cottage cheese. Yuck.

I overhead press at 50, squat at 95, deadlift at 125...I suck at bench...I can do the bar and that's it. Hoping to start increasing it soon.

Only about 2 months...I'm definitely having the beginner's gains...I'll be sad when that stops.... :neutral: Edited to say that I had been working out with kettlebells and doing squats about 2 months before that...but I've been able to increase my squat and deadlift weight pretty rapidly (yay for beginner's gains again...)

Confession: I hate Mondays. So tired so I'm skipping the gym. I'll have to go tomorrow night and Wednesday night to make up for it. Normally I just go one weeknight and fri, sat, and sun. Oh well. Edited because auto correct...

I was hungover yesterday...anyone else in the Sunday group?? I spent the whole day recovering...which means I didn't go to the gym. So I'm going today to make up for it.

Went to the gym tonight for leg day...my hip pain is gone and I was able to squat 95 pounds and deadline 125!!! I'm sure my legs will be useless tomorrow... Have a great weekend everyone! I live for the weekends.... :smile:

Some people do better on low carb...like myself. I feel better, I sleep better...I think everyone is different.
