Hi There, I had this app a while ago too but never really used it. I wanted to give up smoking before I worried about dieting. I now haven't smoked for 4 months :) so its time to do this weight loss thing. My target is to lose 2 stone. I am starting now and hit the gym today for the first time EVER!

If it's anything like me I was eating very high calorie foods. I seem to eat more food now than I did before MFP but sometimes get to the end of the day and haven't used my calories.

I agree with you completely when I look at recipes I always look at the pictures first and if it doesn't look appetising I don't even bother reading the recipe

Mum of 2 (2&4yrs) I want to lose about 20lbs but mostly hoping to get more energy from eating right to keep up with the sprogs! Nice flat tummy would be a major bonus too

I might have to try this Quinoa everyone is talking about. What do you do with it? I can also now add Walnuts to my list, Didn't like them on their own but I chucked some in a apple and kiwi smoothie yummy! Almonds tomorrow, I'm thinking maybe Melon and pineapple smoothie

@corgicake thank you, when I first signed up I put my lifestyle as sedentary as I don't "work" which gave me that calorie goal but I do have a 2&4 year old so probably not that sedentary. @zarckon thanks for your response. Just a bit more info, Its more of an achy, exhausted type tired rather than actually sleepy. I had a similar thing about 10 years ago and after 6 months of blood tests (they suspected pernicious anemia at first but then B12 levels came back up on their own) the drs couldn't find anything else so diagnosed chronic fatigue…

Wow thanks for all the replies! I used to have a pretty active lifestyle and never needed to go out of my way to exercise, unfortunately that has changed so I am searching for a something to get me going again! Some great ideas here!

It's definitely good exercise as I've put my weight on since I lost my horse. It took me a few days to realise too. Since then I have spent several hours reading other people's advice and success stories. Hours that I probably could have been doing something constructive.
