Will cutting out protein reverse heart disease? If so, should I avoid it entirely? Can you open your diary so I can see how a diet without protein works?[/quote] Cutting out animal protein along with processed oils. If you eat a starch based whole food plant based yes this will prevent and reverse heart disease. You can…

I am not on a raw food diet. I eat a whole food plant based diet. I eat pretty as much what I want and keep my weight down. I have plenty of energy to ride my bike hard several times a week. And although exercise is great it doesn't come close to having the same effect as eating a plant based diet.

Those things will cut some risk but will not prevent and or reverse heart disease.

I'm not sure where you got that but everything I've read shows the complete opposite. Example: http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jos/2010/757102/

Wow! Even though it has been proved for a while I still believe the earth is a sphere and I won't fall off the edge. A plant based diet is the only proven way to prevent and reverse our number 1 killer (heart disease) here in the US. Whatever we need to do to prevent our top killer I want to do it. If you or someone else…

Read " the China Study by T. Colin Campbell. Meat and dairy cause your blood to become more acid and your body has to compensate, so it leeches through your bones to bring it back to normal PH. Therefore those that eat the most meat and dairy have more acidy blood and as a consequence have more brittle bones.

Well, the US, Denmark, Switzerland and other milk and meat producing countries have the worst osteoporosis problems than Asia and Africa where they eat very little meat and almost no dairy. So I probably won't worry about that, but thanks.

Everyone needs to make their own choice. I choose to be healthy and not have heart disease, diabetes and other diseases that complicate my health. But I respect your choice to do eat what you want.

Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr. Michael Gregor and Dr. John McDougall all say that to have a 0 chance of having a heart problem your total cholesterol needs to be under 150. Heart disease is the number one killer here in the US and our "normal cholesterol" is way to high to prevent heart disease. Watch this you tube video…

I eat about 80% carbs and I exercise several times a week. My protein is only about 10-15% and is plant based only. My total cholesterol is only 105 and I feel fine.

Sorry, I was trying to reply to someone that asked about where to get protein source. My bad.
