I love raw broccoli and cauliflower both in my salads or by themselves with a bit of hummus or lemon. So good.

Hi everyone! Names Tim and I would love to start following this thread and participate in some challenges. I've lost 118 pounds so far and have about 160 left to go and I am searching for a little extra push in the right direction. Anyway, nice to meet you all. :)

One and a half years in and I can still be easily derailed from truly, meitculously, logging my food and exercise. The key is to be successful on more days than you aren't. Logging is all about awareness and accountability. Be willing to be accountable to yourself, and to others, and log, log, log.

I've been using Maangchi's recipes for years. I make many types of kimchi to have on hand. She's wonderful and her recipes work well.

Yup. my inner toddler is needy as hell and constantly whining for validation. "look at me, I kept under my calorie goal today." "Look at me, I lost .4 lbs." "Everyone notice that I didn't eat from the work candy bowl today." I need to put myself in time out and calm the hell down. Hahaha. :D

Yikes! I am so sorry you've had to deal with that. After I lost about 60 pounds, my dad freaked out and started dieting, all the while making comments like "he was going to win" and "you'll never be thinner than me." Face and fingers. Then it's been even which sucks because I still have a big belly, hips, and butt. It's smaller but still big in comparison to everything else. I feel like I'm the only pear shaped male out there. :'(

Yup. I take breaks all the time. My eye is on the prize and I'm losing steadily but things come up, holidays, parties, what have you. Then I'll eat at maintenance or even over and move on the next day. I'm not able to exercise too intensely but I'll make sure I get my walks in that day as well.

So much this. When I needed a salty sweet snack during the start of my weight loss and I was always running out of calories left,drink I would a diet coke and eat a pickle. Carne Asada nachos. I make them fit my calories but they never fit my macros and I eat very light the rest of the day or skip dinner. So. Worth. It.

Yup. I've lost over a hundred pounds so far and I still drink Diet Coke. Not as much as I used to. I drink a ton of water now but I still have it once a day.

Not a food, per se, but Nyquil has 93 calories per dose. I was shocked. I decided to look it up on a whim because I took some last night for a cold. I logged it. Good thing I had some wiggle room.

Haha, indeed not for us. Although really, if I could just wear a majestic robe of some sort until this process is over, that would be great. Honestly, today I wore a pair of pants that no longer stay up even WITH my belt. Work has been fun.

Lent so pizza night would be veggie pizza or I might use up the swai in my freezer and do braised fish, plantains, and refried black beans. The partner is Guatemalan so I've learned some new dishes and they're all pretty calorie friendly. This one will clock in at around 600 total which fits my dinner count perfectly.

This is a good point and definitely happened to me. My ex dumped me when I started losing weight because he likes big guys. After I lost about 40 pounds, he freaked out and said that I wouldn't be attractive anymore if I lost weight. I have lost 102 pounds and only dropped one pant size, I went from a very tight 58 to a 56. The bigger you are, the bigger the size you wear, the greater the distance between sizes. I expect I won't be a 54 until I lose 30-40 more pounds and then it'll speed up. I hope so anyway.

Hi there. I've lost a bit over 100 pounds so far and I eat pretty much whatever I want. Some things I avoid because I can't control them but I've had cheat meals, diet breaks, and indulgences and I'm still steadily losing. Just keep me away from the carne asada nachos. :D :D :D
