How many calories are you eating?

Thanks...This is all fairly new to me, I never lifted before. Pre kids I weighed 105, was a distance runner and never counted calories a bit, just ate clean whenever I was hungry. I always felt great, looked great. I now am over 40, weigh a soft 126, started at 138 post partum and am no longer running, just cardio hiit and…

A solid half pound a week would be great. It isn't happening.

I haven't been using a scale, I just felt like my tracking was pretty spot on, the days I didn't log I log on at home in a notebook as my kids don't let me play on the computer as much as I like:). I supppose I should try cracking down on my logging. Thanks for the advice. Maybe I am just anxious for faster results. @…

[quote If you weigh 126 pounds, losing half a pound a week sounds like good progress. What do you want to lose per week?[/quote] Closer to a pound.or even a solid half pound a week. I am actually losing less than a half a pound a week, but since I don't measure myself in increments that small….. I just have quite a lot of…

Anyone here change their calorie goals under 1200 because of our height? I am 126 and 5'2 and my RMR is 1280. A defecit of 500 would put me at 780 (crazy?) but the suggestion of never going below 1200 calories is NOT working for me and I feel like it is a blanket guideline that shouldn't be used for all women as all women…

While I think beauty is relative, and curves are beautiful, if you are heavy and on the top rangeor over BMI and store fat in your belly, you are not in the healthiest form for longevity. Belly fat and being overweight pose health risks which, as women, increase as we age.

It sounds like it might be patella femoral issues. Try to mork on glutes, maybe have it diagnosed before doing moves that might be making it worse…

Hey Wheelhouse, Thanks for posting. What do you mean by," I think it's a solid plan but you really have to work hard and be prepared for the fact that the scale isn't going to go down consistently unless you are really lucky."? i am desperate to change my body and lose weight but dont want to waste 12 weeks for no results.…

HI! That is the program I am doing! I am on day 5. I am so glad to hear you are seeing results, I am skeptical because of the lack of cardio and I am nervous about doing the lifting correctly. Also, I am trying to adjust the diet since I don't eat meat. (i am keeping a food diary on MFP). I am SO glad to have someone to…

[quote There is no way that working out more is hindering your weight loss, unless it is causing you to eat more as you get hungrier. What is way more likely is that when you exercise hard your muscles hold on to water to repair, which can show as a gain on the scale. This goes away once your body gets used to the…

Thanks for all the input. I haven't been to great with my MFP online food diary, but am getting better., that said I am certain that I am definitely at a deficit, around 1200 calories a day and trying to exercise 5x's a week, cardio and weights. I will try to figure out my settings and make them public.
