Falling off the wagon, feeling my size 14s get tight, saying "screw this", getting back on the wagon and having them fit comfortably 4 days later. Niiiice. Maybe I'll out shrink them after all ;)

HOLY ACARP!!! What the heck dude! That's like a magic trick!

Everyone looks so lovely! I think I'll require surgery before I look half as good as anyone here, but thanks for the much needed boost to go for my run tonight!

I'm glad to see you are going to plan. It is also worth noting your language. This isn't a sin. Eating late at night is not an affront to your God (at least it is not an affront to any gods of which I am aware) so don't set it up in your mind as such. I'm hungry early, so I eat early, if you're hungry late, eat late, so…

Congratulations! Sometimes when you fall off the wagon the best thing you can do is cling to the side of that sucker and ride it through! Remember that actions speak louder than words and your son seeing you exercise and eat well will be worth the effort. For now, concentrate on getting enough sleep and try reintroducing…

Maybe, but I actually have a weird hypothesis on this. Elastic. It's giving, so very giving that you can gain 5-10lbs and barely even know it! Most clothing has it. Back in "yon day" there was no elastic, if you gained you felt it and self corrected! So instead of logging for life try another form of tip off, daily weigh…

I'm just eating what I want in that day. My diet's already at 1200kcal so I don't want to go much lower than that for the week prior. I'm also having friends over for a Day-After-Thanksgiving-Party. Everyone brings their leftovers and we have a more sensible dinner party. Kills a lot of tea leftovers. Whatever is left…

I'm gonna 100th what others are saying. It's water, EASILY. you know they put drains in after surgery for a reason right!

Get toddler bowls. Seriously, I got little plates/bowls for my son at IKEA and dang if they aren't perfect for making a single serving look decadent! Plus I get to eat out of a bright pink bowl. Win/win!

Love this!

Sometimes I'm below my 1200kcal, sometimes I'm above. It's usually just around 20kcal difference so there no reason to think "below" means "way below"

Oh, well if you insist, Dark chocolate for tonight!

Pre planning and packing is best, but life happens. When you have some free time scout the area/cafeteria around your job sites. See what they have and look up their kcal on MFP. make a mental (or physical!) note of what foods are good choices for you if you forget lunch or just cant stand another pre-packed dinner. This…

Ask your cardio questions. If this is just your regular dr find and go to a proper specialist. As for "Dr. Google" try to limit your medical advice to sites like the AHA or NIH's Medline. Medline is my personal favorite. It's good scientifically based information, no comments section to give voice to armchair doctors and…

53 down! It works.

I'm sorry but it sounds like you think how you approach weight loss changes how you loose weight. Why would you need to exercise to create a deficit when you are maintaining? Your physics/biology doesn't make any sense. And we know how fat is stored. Basic biochemistry. It's not a mystery.…

As others have said it kcal, not carbs, so eat where you are comfortable and where you think you can sustain long term. The term "forbidden" was used. I tend to disagree with that term being used on food. No food is "forbidden" in a healthy diet (ok, maybe Slim Jims). Just eat whatever foods give you a good balance of…

Nah you're good. Get your kcal when you want! I tended to eat breakfast, then I started skipping, now I'm eating it again and skipping lunch. To each their own!

Sounds like she's just being a mom. So long as she doesn't sabotage you it's probably harmless. I'm consistently trying to plump up my slightly underweight son (he's 3) but he just keeps using the extra calories to grow taller. Dang children.

What, you got trouble remembering spaghetti? :P
-
Tandoori is your friend. My place does an amazing tandoori salmon. Take out is always gonna be high in kcal but that doesn't mean you can't make a good choice!

So much awesome in this and OP's post. Nice to see a method that doesn't require higher powers (I get you can use concrete things, but that always felt...weird)

Do the MFP thing. DO EEEET! Also, a dumb and rather personal question that you might just want to answer in your head: Have you ever been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD? I ask because I have and I saw that you mentioned struggling to stay focused. If this is you I suggest doing some reading on the subject. I don't take meds and I…

I tend to use the 20 min trick. After I'm done eating I set a phone timer for 20 min. And go do something. If I'm still hungry after 20 min I can go back and eat. I rarely am though.

It frees me up to enjoy it as a smaller treat. Maybe a cone now and again. But not a gallon in the freezer. That's just asking for trouble! (For me). And as I mentioned upthread, I'm the only one who likes ice cream so no need to save it for others
-
You know what they say, once you go Kosher...

Honestly, I didn't think I'd enjoy it in moderation. I know it seems weird but I'm all about big portions of stuff. I like eating. Having a serving of ice cream is just, meh. I'd rather eat a whole bag of carrots! It's why I'm all about things like spaghetti squash and zoodles. I can eat a serving bowl full of that stuff…

I am so sorry for your loss. To be fair I don't think hot tamales are bingeable.

It wasn't even that. My body simply wasn't reacting to it as it used to. It used to make me feel good to be full, now I just feel ill. The turn off switch has moved I guess. Good will never be just fuel to me. To many yummy things to NOM!
