  • You can do this now, just set the quantity of the ingredient(s) you are not using to zero. So, list chicken, beef, and pork, but have the amounts set to zero except for the meat that you have for that time.
  • Have you tried physical therapy? Rehabbing from an injury is really more of a specialist’s field, rather than a personal trainer who is used to a healthy individual.

  • @Jean Hi, thanks for replying- I understand that the progress section is meant to be on the dashboard now. However, it isn’t there. It doesn’t work. The scroll feature doesn’t work, at least not on the iPhone 7 iOS app. I can understand how big a project it is to roll out a new version of an app, with so many devices and…
  • @mike_langlois I just checked on my iPhone and the landscape feature is still there, but glitchy. Sometimes it didn’t work and I had to tilt it again, sometimes there was a delay of up to 30 seconds to load. What platform are you on? Maybe open a ticket with tech support and see if it’s a coding issue with the new banner…
  • Used to be able to go to diary, then to the nutrition tables, then click on the macro there to see the breakdown for the day. Clicking on macros there brought up each by meal (fats by meal, sodium by meal, etc). I don’t know if that still works or not. It isn’t the same not as convenient as the landscape view. You might…
  • I don’t know, I don’t work for MFP, just answer questions for newbies if I can help out. Hope you find an answer, the dashboard seemed to make a lot of random changes
  • Yes! It keeps crashing and slowing things down, doesn’t add much functionality that I can tell on my phone at least. Wish they’d test these things a bit more before releasing them
  • Try swiping left (works on iOS) or press and hold
  • It doesn’t work. It doesn’t scroll, causes the app to crash. The notifications no longer work. There is no progress portion. The messages at the top of the dashboard are random and at times are downright rude— there should at a minimum be an option to turn them off. Attempts to log food from that screen often do not work.…
  • @Lietchi i realize it’s not your issue, but on my device, the dashboard doesn’t scroll, and there is nothing but a calorie count. No progress, no weight section, no exercise section. The notifications don’t link to anything. The random comments they have pop up at the top are quite rude overall (things like, “it’s not too…
  • AngieCa32 has started a couple credit fix spam threads in success stories. People have flagged them so they’ve been deleted, but the account may need to be deleted.
  • Weigh-in @lindamtuck2018 (and what is a Newfoundland jiggs dinner?) Cheesy567 PW: 232.2 CW: 228.0 (-4.2) Fingers crossed I’ve found the path at the end of this two-month plateau. That’s 100lb down from starting weight (330lb) this week too, but I crossed that line in April before the plateau. The way I tend to bounce…
  • @lindamtuck2018 have you tried slipping your tracker into your pocket when you’re using your walker? It might pick up your steps there?
  • If you started in the beginning of Feb, you’re averaging over 0.5lb/ week. That’s a perfect rate for sustainable weightloss. Keep it up! Not every week is a loss. There are ups and downs, sometimes for a month or two at a time. Those longer times are called plateaus. (I call them practice for maintenance, which is the goal…
  • Ask your doctor or PT what you *can* do… core exercises on your back? Arm exercises with light weights or bands when sitting that won’t require you to brace with your leg or when laying down maybe? Leg exercises for your other leg? Not knowing the placement or severity of the fracture, or how likely you are to push the…
  • Let’s get to know each other! 1. Tell us a little about yourself? I’ve been on MFP since 2015, yo-yo’d my weight before and after that. Around 2017 I learned about the concept of weight maintenance and learned how to do that with the help of a coach, and had one last weight swing up in 2018-2019 during a major health issue…
  • @lindamtuck2018 Weigh-in Cheesy567 PW 232 CW 232.2 <3 Oh how I love plateaus, the view is beautiful up here <3 NSV- my massage therapist commented on how much weight I’d lost since last visit… um… scale says zero, but I’ll take the win. My belt went in another notch, and I don’t have to unbuckle the button to take my pants…
  • Have you measured the bar of the bells that didn’t work for you, and see if you could buy some that are a bit larger or work better for you? They seem to sell a multitude of size and shapes online. There are “pull paddles” which might add some resistance, but might not be the correct resistance you’re looking for. Similar…

  • Log everything, accurately. Take a moment to reflect on wether or not you’re hungry when you go out with your family after eating a lot earlier in the day and adjust what you order accordingly (maybe you aren’t as hungry? Maybe you are? Maybe you eat another 1300 calories, but maybe you eat far less? Some people say “oh,…
  • Not sure what your screen looks like— on the iOS app, there’s a plus to the far right of the “line” with the food to log. Hitting the plus will quickly add the food as-is. Hitting anywhere else will bring up the entry screen to review and modify the entry before logging it. Does this help?
  • This is a conundrum, isn’t it @eaper64 ? I’ve gotten around this by weighing the final recipe and determine the servings from there (and I put the serving size in the recipe name to remind me for next time, or for leftovers or if I freeze it). So, my recipe might be Soup per14oz, serves 10. Or, Curry Per100gm serves 6. I…
  • Interesting that you put your personal story up for debate. “Diet and exercise” and fad diets didn’t work for me, either. Sustainable weight loss didn’t come until I worked on a mindset shift and started with a habit-based focus. I learned how to maintain my weight, first and foremost, and how to stop regaining. Lose 30…
  • You can’t really share recipes at this point. She can take the final result by copying one of your meals with it, then she’d have the resulting calorie and macro count as a food. But she wouldn’t have the list of ingredients to alter. A better option would be for you to use the “meals” function instead of recipes. Meals…
  • Hi everyone, just checking in. I’ve been trying to focus on logging daily and doing better with it. Have been hitting my step goal more consistently this week too. @rwood566, I hope they can figure out the lightheadedness for you. Did the doctors check your protein levels or anything like that after the surgery? Or have…
  • Mmm, I love fruits and veggies but it tends to be seasonal and ebbs and flows with my energy levels, sometimes I have to go for really easy foods to prep or swallow so what I eat is dictated by that and not my palate (but fruits and veggies are included in there too, just different ones) Lately I’ve been having frozen…
  • Thanks @lindamtuck2018 I try to pre-enter for the day, longer when I’m able but lately I struggle to see to tomorrow. I’ll have a goal of prelogging longer, it will be easier as I can get some routine to meals. Thank you for the tip and encouragement! Yesterday I logged everything, walked the dog and exceeded my step count…
  • @rwood566 I hope you can find a newer, more comfortable chair… you’ve come so far and your new body shape probably needs a whole new type of support and comfort. There’s a Habitat for Humanity Restore in my town that often has great furniture finds, and they’ll deliver/ pickup for me since I can’t lift or carry. Healing is…
