  • Thank you guys for all the input! I'm just trying to lose the last 10 pounds or so and didn't want to be messed up by the extra calories I'm getting to eat from more walking and such.
  • I turn into a huge *kitten* and get a headache. Stomach growling usually just fixed with water like mentioned above but occasionally I do get actual pain in my stomach when I'm super hungry. It feels like an angry stab from the hunger monster in my belly lol I understand not feeling the "traditional" signs of hunger…
  • Hahaha this! I agree completely! I was so proud I went over my step goal today :) just got my Fitbit and the addiction is real
  • How do I join this Fitbit group you speak of? I just got mine for an early Valentine's Day gift and I am obsessed!
  • That sounds great! And it makes me feel better that I won't lose motivation and goals when I reach the ultimate scale goal. My goals will just change :)
  • I want to try and start lifting and soon I'll be moving to an apartment with a nice gym so hopefully I'll be able to make that happen! :)
  • Yeah it's still the belly fat that I'm fighting too! It's good too hear it will eventually go down if I stay the course!
  • I question the magic of food absorption constantly! Lol a good bit of the change is water and your digestive system doing its thing. Try not to think about it too much and be consistent with when you weigh yourself. I'm a fan of the right after the morning pee school of thought lol
  • I have had similar responses when discussing weight goals (only close friends I don't go about shouting about my weight). I have had the you'll be too skinny or maybe your body just isn't meant to be that weight. Some well-intentioned comments that came out a little sideways. But we know our bodies best and know we are…
  • Thanks! Right now my focus is on breaking out of the 40's so small chunks at a time. I just hope I feel done when I get there.
  • This poem is what appreciate about my body: "What did your body do for you today? Did those eyes you wish would sparkle a little more open to see a new day? Did those feet you want to be model size 6 land on the floor to brace yourself for the day ahead? Did the legs you criticize as being too big, too flabby or twig-like…
  • Thanks y'all! Please share your most recent or favorite NSV
  • I just got to a healthy bmi too! It is such a good feeling to know I have worked myself back to this point! I am also at the higher end and want to lose another 11 pounds roughly then see how I feel but still a great feeling!! Congrats
  • My recent nsv is kind of an odd one. Every since I was about 13 I have been self conscious of my stomach and later on my whole body. I developed a sort of subconscious reflex to cover my stomach in social situations. I would use a pillow of I was hanging out on a friends couch and make it seem like I was just cuddling it…
  • You look great! And beyond that I love that you told the emotional and mental side of your journey. Cutting out the toxic people and working on how you got to the point of dependency on food and alcohol is a huge success! I realize more and more as I go on my own path how much food affected my mental state and the reverse…
  • Please don't be discouraged! Y'all shouldn't yuck someone's yum! This is a supportive community.
  • If I had a nickel for every tear I have shed in the past year of weight loss ups and downs I'd be a millionaire! It's ok it's an emotional process from the start! When I finally realized it was a problem I needed to solve I cried. For every time I felt too tired to keep up the fight I cried. For the times I looked in the…
  • I had mine out almost a year and a half ago and life is way better without the attacks that sent me to the hospital twice and almost didn't let me get on a plane to England! I will warn you that certain foods went right through me for a long time and still occasionally do. More recently though since I cut back on higher…
  • Haven't tried that yet where do you find it?
  • Gotcha thanks for the input y'all!
  • Idk why the rest didn't post but anyway I added calcium and fiber supplements to aid in some problems I've been having as my doctor recommended but should I add the calories from them to my daily count?
  • Everyone here has said great things and just to put in my bit, I've been feeling defeated too lately. I have lost 28 pounds and have about 15 to go and I just realized that in the past 6 months I've only lost about 8 of those pounds. It was going so fast at the start and now it's a slow crawl even though I've made…
  • That's how I am feeling SW:170 CW:147 GW: was 145 but now I'm so close to that and I feel there is more to be done so I changed it to 140 and I'll see how I feel from there
  • Haha! I feel ya on the round booty I am pretty happy with mine as well so maybe I'll stick to the 145 goal then reassess my assets ;) and see how I feel.
  • I'm 22, 5'5 and curvy and in college I went from about 140 in August 2011 to my highest of 176 this past January at the doctors. I am now down to 152 but I still want to lose at least 7 more pounds to get me back to where I was when I started college plus a little wiggle room for the boobs that finally came in college that…
  • This is exactly my problem as well! What I have been trying to do is if I know where I'll be doing out for dinner and drinks that night I will prelog what I will want to have there and work my day around that so I am working toward a goal and don't feel guilty later at dinner. I haven't quite nailed down how to deal with…
  • That's a great way to think of it! I never looked at it that way but you're right once that water weight it gone it is a magic whoosh on the scale lol I will have to keep that in mind :)
  • Thanks for the input y'all! I'm glad I'm not alone in this!
  • Thanks y'all! Very helpful especially the articles :)
  • Tell them just because you are more health conscious now doesn't mean you can't enjoy their company or foods you used to enjoy you just may be having a slice less of pizza and one glass of wine less than you used to. Real friends will understand.
