Need help setting calorie numbers

Why isn't MFP not changing my calories when I change my goal from 1 pound a week to 1.5 per week? It used to do that now it just wants to reset to what I had my goal and calories set at before. Help please! I want to speed up my loss a little because I have hit a plateau and I'm confused.

I can not see your food diary so I can only share my experience.
My weight loss was stalled several times in my journey. Do not panic.

I prefer a slow but steady weight loss of 0.5 pound a week. Mainly because I do not wish to lose my muscle tone along with the pounds. I eat more protein and I weight lift.

Use the guided setup to change your weekly weight loss goal.
Go back into goals and edit your daily calories to what MFP says your new calorie goal should be.
