I'm a returning member and can't remember if I posted on here last time or not! Hi, I'm Mary from Manchester, I have had a crap time health wise the past few years and I am working on turning it around! Just started PT sessions to improve my fitness and making small changes in my diet. Happy to add new friends :)

Hi, I am 48 and a single mum to 2 teenage boys. I have concentrated on my kids for years and neglected to look after myself properly. I am trying to change that and have started with a personal trainer for the fitness side. Happy to add new friends.

I have been going through it since my late 30's. I didn't recognise the symptoms at first as I don't really get hot flushes. I had a hysterectomy in my early 40's, ovaries were left and the symptoms got worse very quickly. It has been a bit of a roller coaster, fighting to try and get HRT (Dr said I was too young!) and…

Hi there, I'm 48 and back here after a long break. I haven't been in the best of health, mentally or physically the past few years but I am turning it around. I have just started group sessions with a personal trainer to help me get back on track. Happy to add more friends, the more motivation the better!

I was told no exercise at all other than walking for the first 3 months. No exercise that could put pressure on the pelvic floor for 6 months. It will also depend on why you had the hysterectomy, I am limited in the exercise I can do as I could be at risk of a prolapse so no heavy lifting or squats for me! I am only now…

I have been peri-menopausal for a couple of years now, I didn't realise what it was at first as I didn't get hot flushes straight away just lots of other symptoms. I had a hysterectomy in January and had menopause symptoms hit me like a truck afterwards! I kept my ovaries so the symptoms have settled down a bit now. I am…

I'm a comfort eater too, it is a very hard habit to break. I eat when I am tired which is a lot being a single, working mum! I try to keep my hands busy doing something else at night now to stop myself from eating (knitting and crochet mainly). If I do snack I try to keep it healthy with veggies or fruit, it doesn't always…
