Kind of a NSV, kind of a question, does it get any less sore sitting on seats after a while? I used to be very overweight and sitting on seats was uncomfortable because I stuck forward too far or found arms tight. But now my seat bones are getting sore. I'm in the middle of the healthy BMI range so not emaciated. Does this…

@deepwoodslady I get a headache if I try nose breathing too long! Be careful ;)

@mountainmare You've got a point, but it is acceptable in my work place to say to people they've put on weight. You sound like people shouldn't complain when complimented. I grin and bear it but every time someone comments I want to punch them. One or two comments a day would be ok, but it's more like 15 separate comments…

I agree about the flying. I always used to try and get out of travelling for work because I hated cramping whoever was unfortunate enough to sit next me and always worried about whether I would need an extender. Now, no issue at all. The only issue currently is overly talkative people next me. No, I do not want to hear…

@Cloverdoll I'm exactly the same. People tell me to do deep breathing when stressed and all it does is make me panic more. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Hi, I'm 42. I've lost 44.3 kg (98.7 lbs) this year. I just stick to the calorie count, and walk/run as I feel like it (which I do most days). I started morbidly obese and now I'm 4 kg from a healthy BMI. My age isn't really a factor I worry about. I can run a lot further now than I could as a teenager. I've lost another 5…

@rldeclercq4 I'm not sure if the people clicking woo realise it's not a good thing on MFP. Anyway, congratulations, your achievements are amazing. I hope I'm the same in a couple of years' time
-
@grandmajackie sorry, ignorant Kiwi here, is PNW Pacific Northwest?
-
Btw, I don't think there's much hope of me making the sleep goal. For the last month I've averaged 5h23m - it's really not for lack of trying. I'm always in bed for over 8h. But, I'm not complaining too much because that's a vast improvement over the month before when my average was 3h11m.

Hi, my name is Rosa-Jane. I'd like to join, but as I'm in the Southern Hemisphere (New Zealand) it'll be a summer challenge not a winter one. I hope that's ok? I know there's other people from my area on MFP so they'll be in the same boat. The other consequence of my location is that it will look like I'm posting quite…

That's an amazing achievement, congratulations!

Thanks for this. I just assumed everybody knew woo was negative and have been very surprised at the range of posts receiving woo. Maybe MFP does need to make it clearer. You've made me feel a bit better about this discussion, my belief that we had a couple of negative people reading the posts may not be correct.

That's all I could run 7 weeks ago and I felt like I was going to die, now I can for 52 mins. As soon as you get started, it gets surprising how quickly it gets easier and easier. At the moment, I don't find running much harder than walking, and it's heaps easier to run than it was to walk when I got my fitbit on July 3…

Also, I have always been massively bigger than my workmates (probably an average of 75kg heavier - they're not the same ethnicity as me which explains a lot of the difference). Today, the only ever so slightly overweight one borrowed a jacket from me. I said it might not fit but would be better than nothing. She said…

For the first time on a while I went on a domestic flight in a very small plane (destination was a small town in New Zealand). Instead of pulling out the seatbelt to the maximum extent, I didn't change it from the person before me and there was about 30cm left over. Also, instead of bulging over slightly onto the next…
