Friday night: 11/23/18: .... 3 hrs and 27 minutes. Woke feeling a bit tired but quickly felt alive & active as I had to kick into work quickly stripping bed and cleaning cabins after folks left for the one's on the way! Quick work mode. Then I went to a Young Living Essential Oil Open house where I ordered some items. I will go on the website in a little bit to order other items they didn't have on hand as everything is 20% through tonight.
I feel fat and bloated. My Family Thanksgiving Dinner is tomorrow. Oh my!2 -

@reflectionofme, Usually, I cannot go to bed before 11pm and actually go to sleep without a lot of tossing and turning. I also have never been a day napper. Since I've been really making efforts to go to bed early, my body is complying. It took a month. I get sleepy early now and can't wait to go to bed.
@deepwoodslady, Donna, I don't know how you do it on 3hrs 27mins of sleep! I hope that few hours of sleep is not most nights. I give you even more commendation on your weightloss!
@oshanna2018, Shay, it's never too late to join others like minded in improving their health! Ten hours sleep is awesome!
@akj_25, Lisa, Your schedule is brutal on sleep too. I have family members that have alternative work schedules and its difficult. I'm glad to see that you can get at least 5hrs sleep on your work days. Mmm. I do know about weight training and trying to lose weight.
I sometimes feel that I've tried all ways of losing weight. I have enjoyed lifting weights since I was in my mid 20's. Back then I dieted (low carb) when I didn't need to. Smh. Strength training made me very slender. In my 30's and early 40's, (low fat, high carb diets) Very strong from weight training, lots of varied cardio, but looked heavy. Late 40's through 50's more cardio than weights, still a low fat diet, not slender, but a trim fit body. All that to say, you will find your sweet spot if you are in tune with your body.
@njitaliana, Maryann, 41 lbs GONE! Congrats!
@AJB1014, Welcome to the challenge! I'm so glad you joined!

Sorry everyone. Todays weight update should be tomorrow Nov. 27. My youngest brothers birthday is today, maybe it was a subliminal reminder, because I just realized the mistake this very minute!0
-
Sleep Challenge:
Friday Night 11/23/18...... 3 hours 27 minutes.
Saturday night 11/24/18..... 4 hours 58 minutes.
Sunday Night 11/25/18..... 4 hours 27 minutes.
Note to Everyone: These are typical hours for me. After a few days of this I will usually "catch up" by sleeping a solid 5.5 to 6 hours for one night, then rinse and repeat. I know that more sleep would be beneficial, but I just do not seem to require it after a lifetime of long working hours and maintaining my home and family too. Most days I am refreshed and full of energy after 3 to 4 hours of sleep.

Okay, I've updated my date until November 27.

@deepwoodslady, I completely understand functioning on minimal sleep and being full of energy. I did it for years myself, 4 or 5 hrs of sleep. Sometimes go to bed at 2 am, wake up 5am. Always woke up at 5. It has only changed this year that I wake up at 6, sometimes 7am.
So, just texted my brother to wish him happy birthday and he was having his own subliminal reminders. He said all the bills of lading he filled out this morning, he kept writing his actual birthdate. Finally dawned on him it's his birthday.0 -

I'm in! This long challenge is exactly what I need. I like to weigh in on Saturday mornings (because Saturdays are my cheat days!). I'll weigh in on one Friday morning in December because I'm getting married that day -- so there will definitely be enough champagne and cake for me to avoid the scale the next morning.
SW: 188.2 (Nov 26, 2018)
GW: 150 (Not by end of challenge, but hopefully soon thereafter!)
P.S. Looking for motivational friends, so feel free to add me!

Lol on his realization. I'd forget my *kitten* if it wasn't attached. But I do a lot of forgetting since the Chemo. Brain Fog. They say Fish Oil helps with brain function and memory so I take it daily (when I remember to LOL). I am now going to watch the youtube video on stopping the bread cravings. I've had a good day, but I always appreciate another tool in my toolbox! Thanks for sharing. Have a good night!2
