    Sleep Challenge:

    Friday Night 11/23/18...... 3 hours 27 minutes.
    Saturday Night 11/24/18..... 4 hours 58 minutes.
    Sunday Night 11/25/18..... 4 hours 27 minutes.
    Monday Night 11/26/18โ€ฆ.. 4 hours 38 minutes.

Note to Everyone: These are typical hours for me. After a few days of this I will usually "catch up" by sleeping a solid 5.5 to 6 hours for one night, then rinse and repeat. I know that more sleep would be beneficial, but I just do not seem to require it after a lifetime of long working hours and maintaining my home and family too. Most days I am refreshed and full of energy after 3 to 4 hours of sleep.

Slept my usual 7 hours for the first time since my arm fracture & 3-week high dose prednisone course of treatment.

    Iโ€™m overjoyed. Hooray!

November 20, 2018 ~ 177.2 - 42 lbs left to reach my ultimate goal. It was 40 lbs on Nov. 9th when 175 appeared, then was rudely replaced by 177. Lol. This number loves me.

11/27 ~ 178.8 - Been doing everything I should not the last 5 days; eating late in the day (8pm) eating bread, no electrolytes. One last croissant beckoning me today๐Ÿ˜Š and hopefully it's over.

Hope you guys don't mind if I jump in late! My weigh in day is already Tuesday so it works out perfect.
I didn't have access to a scale last week (home for the holiday!), but my weight the week prior was 184.

    Challenge Starting Weight ~ 178
    Challenge Goal Weight ~ 155

11/27~ 178 (Somehow I dropped 6lbs in two weeks. No idea how that happened!)

11/20 - I got 6 hrs and 45 mins sleep last night, woot hoot, thatโ€™s about normal for me. Iโ€™ll call that a win for me, sometimes Iโ€™ll only get around barely over 5, :(
11/21 - I got 7 hrs and 58 mins, I got to bed early and was able to sleep past 6 am, ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
11/22 - I got 8 hrs and 3 mins, woot hoot! Happy Turkey Day, :)<3:)
    11/23 - 8 hrs and 35 mins, Iโ€™m back in my own bed, :)
11/24 - 8 hrs and 41 mins, hopefully this will help me stay focus to lose my Thanksgiving weight. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜‚
11/25 - 9 hrs and 15 mins, weโ€™ll see if I can keep this up. My husband had a 4 day weekend, heโ€™s back at work tomorrow.
11/26 - 5 hrs and 31 mins, last night was a tough night staying ๐Ÿ˜ด
    11/27 - 7 hrs and 12 mins
    11/28 - 6 hrs and 15 mins

@tiabirdie56, thanks for creating this challenge, Iโ€™m not getting as many hours these last few days. My husband has to leave early for work so I wake up with him. Itโ€™s definitely helping though of being aware of my sleeping habits, :)

As far as sleep is concerned, I used to wear a fitbit that would track it for me, but I had a falling out with it when it told me I only walked 16 steps on a day in August. I have to be diligent to get enough sleep (I take OTC pills, sleep with a mask and white noise so every little thing doesn't wake me). I feel rested and I know I average about seven hours a night. When I've struggled with sleep my weight ALWAYS goes up, and I assume my body is retaining water for some reason.

@MadisonMolly2017, Was the prednisone causing insomnia? I've read that insomnia is a side effect, but most people complain of the weight gain from taking it. In any case, glad to see you got over 7 hours of sleep!

@GrandmaJackie, I'm so happy that it has helped you.

@akj_25, It's good that you were able to get at least one 6 hour period of sleep. Congrats on the weight drop.

    @reflectionofme, 8 hours, that's great!

@malika1976, Rosa-Jane, try magnesium oil or magnesium lotion. We all need magnesium. It's called the calming mineral and it truly is. Always puts me to sleep and keeps me asleep through the night. Safe to use daily.

@DebCountsAll, Averaging seven hours of sleep a night is great! I'm also light and sound sensitive. My environment must be pitch dark and absolutely quiet. I can be roused from a deep sleep at the slightest noise or light source.

Yep- definitely causes one to sleep less, but I got a lot done!!! Revs one up.

Iโ€™ve never gained while on it, but many do. I was unwilling to!! So, I track all food, exercise, and I slash my starches so I donโ€™t get medically induced diabetes, high bp, or weight gain.

My appetite only flares with sugar and refined starches, so I eliminate those. If I do have them, it takes me a few days to get back in the groove. Since I donโ€™t like that process, it becomes an added incentive to stay off them.
