πAutumn β Winter 2018 to πΌSpring 2019 Challenge
No break in consistency! From November 20, 2018 to March 20, 2019. Let's continue through the holidays and Winter months to say GOOD - BYE to excess fat. Sure, there will be a few minor bumps in the path, but we can do this! This DOES NOT have to be the time of year that results in weight gain. What is your stumbling block? Be supportive! We can work it out together. Maybe weekly challenges within this challenge could help? Let's discuss and do it! Along the way, let's have some fun!

@GrandmaJackie, Jackie, I know, right? I stopped celebrating Thanksgiving 2 years ago. After hosting my family for 30 years with all the bells and whistles, I had enough. The stress, the planning, the shopping, cleaning, the hours of standing and cooking, cooking, cooking then the seemingly endless hours of clean up. Weight gain was never my problem on this holiday. Too tired to even eat! 8 hours sleep challenge, yes, perfect! I know it's impossible for most before the holiday, it always was for me, but the day after I will post the challenge.0 -
@tiabirdie56, last year my daughter started hosting it, her request, my reply βokayβ. So now after Thanksgiving our tradition is Black Friday shopping, NO KIDS NO MEN, lol. Thanks for creating this challenge, ππΌπππΌ1

@GrandmaJackie, Thanks for joining my challenge! Loving your daughter! That is exactly how it started for me. I have 2 sons, but DIL wants to spend Thanksgiving with her family (her Aunt hosts) and my niece goes to NC with her husband and his family. They still ask what I'm doing for TG though. Oh, I'm cooking dinner, my DH, son and I have to eat after all, BUT NOT Thanksgiving dinner.0

Hi, my name is Rosa-Jane. I'd like to join, but as I'm in the Southern Hemisphere (New Zealand) it'll be a summer challenge not a winter one. I hope that's ok? I know there's other people from my area on MFP so they'll be in the same boat. The other consequence of my location is that it will look like I'm posting quite early due to the time difference.
Challenge Starting Weight ~ 82.1 kg (181.0 lbs)
Challenge Goal Weight ~ 73.1 kg (161.1 lbs)
It seems like a lot to lose to me, however I'm doing ok on the challenge ending in December so here's hoping I'll be ok on this one too. My challenge goal weight is in the healthy BMI range which has been my long term goal for the seven years - but I've never quite got there before.

Btw, I don't think there's much hope of me making the sleep goal. For the last month I've averaged 5h23m - it's really not for lack of trying. I'm always in bed for over 8h. But, I'm not complaining too much because that's a vast improvement over the month before when my average was 3h11m.0

@MadisonMolly2017 and @malika1976, no worries on the sleep challenge. I don't sleep 8 hours either, max 6 , occasionally 7. I do things that sabotage consistent, restful sleep though.0 -

November 20, 2018 ~ 177.2 - 42 lbs left to reach my ultimate goal. It was 40 lbs on Nov. 9th when 175 appeared, then was rudely replaced by 177. Lol. This number loves me.

Thanks for the welcome. I would follow Tish anywhere! I have been so back & forth all of Autumn but I never give up. I want to be as accountable as possible through these holidays to minimize the damage. My journey isn't over yet and I look forward to all the great information I know this challenge will bring. @GrandmaJackie, Jackie, WOOT! Call it an 8 hr nights sleep! I began to give in to my tiredness a week ago and go to bed at 10pm. It felt so good to wake up rested, that I started doing everything that keeps me up until 11pm and beyond much earlier. Even though I still have a middle of night bathroom runπ I've been getting 7-8 hrs of sleep.
