Good Morning Everyone, My name is Tammy, I’m 51 and live in St Albert, Alberta. I was very excited to join this team in January and was especially excited to read about @jugar’s successful weight loss journey after menopause. January wasn’t a great month for me - Covid hit both of my sons one after the other and my stress…

PW - 185 CW - 185 Relieved my weight stayed the same. Still dealing with Covid in our house. My younger (17 year old) son is now on day 12 and is coughing like crazy. Our doctor has prescribed an inhaler that we’re hoping will help. Two full weeks off of school while in Grade 12 - has been so stressful. But, it’s a Monday,…

PW - 184.2 CW - 185 Still battling Covid in our house. Seems like it’s infecting us one at a time. Both of my sons have now been sick (my younger son is still quite sick). At this point I’m feeling like February 1 is going to be my New Year’s - asking for a do-over.

Good Morning, Can’t tell you how hard it was to force myself to post this today. PW - 183.7 CW - 184.2 I was totally doing great last week and then Covid came to my house. My older son is now on Day 6 of cold symptoms (not too crazy thank goodness). My younger son is dealing with a brutal headache and fatigue but is…

@ashleycarole86 Could you please remove me from the step challenge for the time being? Our house has been rocked with Covid and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get back to any sort of exercise. Thank you!

Having a difficult day. My older son tested positive for Covid this morning. Argh. Feel like the stress of this pandemic is never-ending. Ordered in groceries in case the rest of us get hit too. Sigh. My Garmin fitness tracker keeps sending me messages, “You are experiencing high stress”. Ummm, yeah Garmin, I am 😂

Rhonda @evangsimmons170 - I enjoyed the determination I read in your entry, and WOW - such a gorgeous wedding photo. I too received a health wake-up call this past year, and I hope to find the strength to deal with it head-on. Thanks for the inspiration.

Got outside for a nice, long hike yesterday during our short respite from the bitter cold here in Alberta. Now it’s -25 again (-35 with the windchill) and snowing like crazy. I’m planning to use my treadmill and watch a guilty pleasure program later this afternoon. I try to save those guilty pleasures as an incentive for…

@ashleycarole86 Please add me to the step challenge for January. My goal for January will be 8000 steps per day. So do I understand correctly that today is Day One? Thanks 😊

@jugar Thanks for the encouraging words. So motivating to hear from someone who has been successful at losing weight during this rollercoaster time of life. Looking forward to seeing some success and lending support wherever I can.

Hi Everyone, My name is Tammy. I’m 51 and live in St Albert, Alberta with my husband, two sons (20 and 17) and my two beloved cats. I have been on this weight loss journey for a long time, but am finding that losing weight during menopause is a whole new ballgame. I am a yo-yo dieter - each year I go up and down the same…

Hey Everyone, Been an awful couple of weeks, but I’m back. Wow - what on earth happened to the discussion boards? I have no idea if I’m posting to our November discussion thread or not 😂. My plan is to ease back in to things a bit. Things with my mom went downhill quite quickly. She’s across the country from me. Things…

@jessicakrall8 Hey Jessica, Dealing with a family emergency here. I don’t know how long I’ll be away, but can you please put me onto support until further notice? Thank you, Tammy

Cassandra - Radical acceptance - wow, that really resonates with me. Such a powerful tool I think. Thank you for that. I really do get caught up in the feelings of “why is this my life right now”. Instead of why, I’ll try to get to the place where I can just accept that this is the way things are. And I am definitely…

Hey Everyone, Not a good week for me. Started out strong but really having a hard time with stress eating. So much going on right now, and while I know the things to do (get outside for a walk, meditate, eat healthy snacks, measure my portions), I just keep finding myself mindlessly snacking and overeating. Anyone have…

Hey Everyone, Had a brutal week last week and took a bit of a break, but feeling a bit better and jumping back in. Going to take a pass on this week’s weigh-in, but am now the proud owner of a “new hand me down Fitbit” that I’ll be using until I reach my Apple Watch goal 😉. So @jessicakrall8 - please put me down for 8,000…

I ended up drinking a chai toddy as well - I altered the recipe quite a bit for all of us (skim milk, less sugar, less honey) and it was still amazing. Didn’t lessen the rum lol
